1And יהוה said unto Aharon, “You and your sons and your fathers’ house with you shall bear the iniquity of the Mikdash; and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your kehunah. 2And your brethren also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, bring near with you, that they may be joined unto you, and minister unto you, you and your sons with you being before the Ohel HaEdut. 3And they shall keep your charge, and the charge of all the Ohel; only they shall not come nigh unto the consecrated furnishings and unto the Mizbe’akh, that they die not, neither they nor you. 4And they shall be joined unto you, and keep the charge of the Ohel Mo’ed, whatever the service of the Ohel may be; but a common man shall not draw nigh unto you. 5And you shall keep the charge of the consecrated things, and the charge of the Mizbe’akh, that there be wrath no more upon B’nei Yisra’el. 6And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the Levi’im from among B’nei Yisra’el; for you they are given as a gift unto יהוה , to do the service of the Ohel Mo’ed. 7And you and your sons with you shall keep your kehunah in everything that pertains to the Mizbe’akh, and to that within the veil; and you shall serve; I give you your Kehunah as a service of gift; and the common man that draws nigh shall be put to death.”
8And יהוה spoke unto Aharon, “And I, behold, I have given you the charge of My Terumot; even of all the hallowed things of B’nei Yisra’el, unto you have I given them for a consecrated portion, and to your sons, as a due forever. 9This shall be yours of the Kodesh HaKadashim, reserved from the fire: every offering of theirs, even every Minkhah of theirs, and every Khatat of theirs, and every Asham of theirs, which they may render unto Me, shall be Kodesh Kadashim for you and for your sons. 10In a most kadosh place shall you eat thereof; every male may eat thereof; it shall be kadosh unto you. 11And this is yours: the Terumah of their gift, even all the wave-offerings of B’nei Yisra’el; I have given them unto you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as a due forever; every one that is clean in your house may eat thereof. 12All the best of the oil, and all the choice wine, and of the grain, the first part of them which they give unto יהוה , to you have I given them. 13The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring unto יהוה , shall be yours; every one that is clean in your house may eat thereof. 14Every thing devoted in Yisra’el shall be yours. 15Every thing that opens the womb, of all flesh which they offer unto יהוה , both of man and beast, shall be yours; however, the first-born of man shall you surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shall you redeem. 16And their redemption-money, from a khodesh old shall you redeem them, shall be, according to your valuation, five shekels of silver, after the Shekel HaKodesh, the same is twenty gerahs. 17But the firstling of an ox, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat you shall not redeem; they are kodesh: you shall dash their blood against the Mizbe’akh, and shall make their fat smoke for an offering made by fire, for a sweet savor unto יהוה . And18 the flesh of them shall be yours, as the wave-breast and as the right thigh, it shall be yours. 19All the Terumot of the consecrated things, which B’nei Yisra’el offer unto יהוה , have I given you and your sons and your daughters with you, as a due forever; it is an everlasting covenant of salt before יהוה unto you and to your seed with you.”
20And יהוה said unto Aharon, “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among B’nei Yisra’el. 21And unto the children of Levi, behold, I have given all the tenth-part in Yisra’el for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the Ohel Mo’ed. 22And henceforth B’nei Yisra’el shall not come nigh the Ohel Mo’ed, lest they bear sin, and die. 23But the Levi’im alone shall do the service of the Ohel Mo’ed, and they shall bear their iniquity; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, and among B’nei Yisra’el they shall have no inheritance. 24For the tenth-part of B’nei Yisra’el, which they consecrate as a gift unto יהוה , I have given to the Levi’im for an inheritance; therefore I have said unto them, ‘Among B’nei Yisra’el they shall have no inheritance’.”
25And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 26“Moreover you shall speak unto the Levi’im, and say unto them, ‘When you take of B’nei Yisra’el the tenth-part which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then you shall consecrate of it a gift for יהוה , even a tenth-part of the tenth-part. 27And the gift which you consecrate shall be reckoned unto you, as though it were the grain of the threshing-floor, and as the fullness of the wine-press. 28Thus you also shall consecrate a gift unto יהוה of all your tenth-parts, which you receive of B’nei Yisra’el; and thereof you shall give the gift which is consecrated unto יהוה to Aharon the kohen. 29Out of all that is given you, you shall consecrate all of that which is due unto יהוה , of all the best thereof, even the hallowed part thereof out of it. 30Therefore you shall say unto them, ‘When you consecrate the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levi’im as the increase of the threshing-floor, and as the increase of the wine-press. 31And you may eat it in every place, you and your households; for it is your reward in return for your service in the Ohel Mo’ed. 32And you shall bear no sin by reason of it, seeing that you have consecrated from it the best thereof; and you shall not profane the consecrated things of B’nei Yisra’el, that you die not’.”
אוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל אַהֲרֹן אַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ וּבֵית אָבִיךָ אִתָּךְ תִּשְׂאוּ אֶת עֲוֹן הַמִּקְדָּשׁ וְאַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ תִּשְׂאוּ אֶת עֲוֹן כְּהֻנַּתְכֶם. בוְגַם אֶת אַחֶיךָ מַטֵּה לֵוִי שֵׁבֶט אָבִיךָ הַקְרֵב אִתָּךְ וְיִלָּווּ עָלֶיךָ וִישָׁרְתוּךָ וְאַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ לִפְנֵי אֹהֶל הָעֵדֻת. גוְשָׁמְרוּ מִשְׁמַרְתְּךָ וּמִשְׁמֶרֶת כָּל הָאֹהֶל אַךְ אֶל כְּלֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְאֶל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לֹא יִקְרָבוּ וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ גַם הֵם גַּם אַתֶּם. דוְנִלְווּ עָלֶיךָ וְשָׁמְרוּ אֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לְכֹל עֲבֹדַת הָאֹהֶל וְזָר לֹא יִקְרַב אֲלֵיכֶם. הוּשְׁמַרְתֶּם אֵת מִשְׁמֶרֶת הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְאֵת מִשְׁמֶרֶת הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְלֹא יִהְיֶה עוֹד קֶצֶף עַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. ווַאֲנִי הִנֵּה לָקַחְתִּי אֶת אֲחֵיכֶם הַלְוִיִּם מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָכֶם מַתָּנָה נְתֻנִים לַיהוה לַעֲבֹד אֶת עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד. זוְאַתָּה וּבָנֶיךָ אִתְּךָ תִּשְׁמְרוּ אֶת כְּהֻנַּתְכֶם לְכָל דְּבַר הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וּלְמִבֵּית לַפָּרֹכֶת וַעֲבַדְתֶּם עֲבֹדַת מַתָּנָה אֶתֵּן אֶת כְּהֻנַּתְכֶם וְהַזָּר הַקָּרֵב יוּמָת.
חוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל אַהֲרֹן וַאֲנִי הִנֵּה נָתַתִּי לְךָ אֶת מִשְׁמֶרֶת תְּרוּמֹתָי לְכָל קָדְשֵׁי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְךָ נְתַתִּים לְמָשְׁחָה וּלְבָנֶיךָ לְחָק עוֹלָם. טזֶה יִהְיֶה לְךָ מִקֹּדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים מִן הָאֵשׁ כָּל קָרְבָּנָם לְכָל מִנְחָתָם וּלְכָל חַטָּאתָם וּלְכָל אֲשָׁמָם אֲשֶׁר יָשִׁיבוּ לִי קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים לְךָ הוּא וּלְבָנֶיךָ. יבְּקֹדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ כָּל זָכָר יֹאכַל אֹתוֹ קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה לָּךְ. יאוְזֶה לְּךָ תְּרוּמַת מַתָּנָם לְכָל תְּנוּפֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְךָ נְתַתִּים וּלְבָנֶיךָ וְלִבְנֹתֶיךָ אִתְּךָ לְחָק עוֹלָם כָּל טָהוֹר בְּבֵיתְךָ יֹאכַל אֹתוֹ. יבכֹּל חֵלֶב יִצְהָר וְכָל חֵלֶב תִּירוֹשׁ וְדָגָן רֵאשִׁיתָם אֲשֶׁר יִתְּנוּ לַיהוה לְךָ נְתַתִּים. יגבִּכּוּרֵי כָּל אֲשֶׁר בְּאַרְצָם אֲשֶׁר יָבִיאוּ לַיהוה לְךָ יִהְיֶה כָּל טָהוֹר בְּבֵיתְךָ יֹאכְלֶנּוּ. ידכָּל חֵרֶם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לְךָ יִהְיֶה. טוכָּל פֶּטֶר רֶחֶם לְכָל בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר יַקְרִיבוּ לַיהוה בָּאָדָם וּבַבְּהֵמָה יִהְיֶה לָּךְ אַךְ פָּדֹה תִפְדֶּה אֵת בְּכוֹר הָאָדָם וְאֵת בְּכוֹר הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּמֵאָה תִּפְדֶּה. טזוּפְדוּיָו מִבֶּן חֹדֶשׁ תִּפְדֶּה בְּעֶרְכְּךָ כֶּסֶף חֲמֵשֶׁת שְׁקָלִים בְּשֶׁקֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ עֶשְׂרִים גֵּרָה הוּא. יזאַךְ בְּכוֹר שׁוֹר אוֹ בְכוֹר כֶּשֶׂב אוֹ בְכוֹר עֵז לֹא תִפְדֶּה קֹדֶשׁ הֵם אֶת דָּמָם תִּזְרֹק עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְאֶת חֶלְבָּם תַּקְטִיר אִשֶּׁה לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַיהוה . יחוּבְשָׂרָם יִהְיֶה לָּךְ כַּחֲזֵה הַתְּנוּפָה וּכְשׁוֹק הַיָּמִין לְךָ יִהְיֶה. יטכֹּל תְּרוּמֹת הַקֳּדָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר יָרִימוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לַיהוה נָתַתִּי לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ וְלִבְנֹתֶיךָ אִתְּךָ לְחָק עוֹלָם בְּרִית מֶלַח עוֹלָם הִוא לִפְנֵי יהוה לְךָ וּלְזַרְעֲךָ אִתָּךְ.
כוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל אַהֲרֹן בְּאַרְצָם לֹא תִנְחָל וְחֵלֶק לֹא יִהְיֶה לְךָ בְּתוֹכָם אֲנִי חֶלְקְךָ וְנַחֲלָתְךָ בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. כאוְלִבְנֵי לֵוִי הִנֵּה נָתַתִּי כָּל מַעֲשֵׂר בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לְנַחֲלָה חֵלֶף עֲבֹדָתָם אֲשֶׁר הֵם עֹבְדִים אֶת עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד. כבוְלֹא יִקְרְבוּ עוֹד בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לָשֵׂאת חֵטְא לָמוּת. כגוְעָבַד הַלֵּוִי הוּא אֶת עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהֵם יִשְׂאוּ עֲוֹנָם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם וּבְתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יִנְחֲלוּ נַחֲלָה. כדכִּי אֶת מַעְשַׂר בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יָרִימוּ לַיהוה תְּרוּמָה נָתַתִּי לַלְוִיִּם לְנַחֲלָה עַל כֵּן אָמַרְתִּי לָהֶם בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יִנְחֲלוּ נַחֲלָה.
כהוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר, כווְאֶל הַלְוִיִּם תְּדַבֵּר וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם כִּי תִקְחוּ מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת הַמַּעֲשֵׂר אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לָכֶם מֵאִתָּם בְּנַחֲלַתְכֶם וַהֲרֵמֹתֶם מִמֶּנּוּ תְּרוּמַת יהוה מַעֲשֵׂר מִן הַמַּעֲשֵׂר. כזוְנֶחְשַׁב לָכֶם תְּרוּמַתְכֶם כַּדָּגָן מִן הַגֹּרֶן וְכַמְלֵאָה מִן הַיָּקֶב. כחכֵּן תָּרִימוּ גַם אַתֶּם תְּרוּמַת יהוה מִכֹּל מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר תִּקְחוּ מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּנְתַתֶּם מִמֶּנּוּ אֶת תְּרוּמַת יהוה לְאַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן. כטמִכֹּל מַתְּנֹתֵיכֶם תָּרִימוּ אֵת כָּל תְּרוּמַת יהוה מִכָּל חֶלְבּוֹ אֶת מִקְדְּשׁוֹ מִמֶּנּוּ. לוְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם בַּהֲרִימְכֶם אֶת חֶלְבּוֹ מִמֶּנּוּ וְנֶחְשַׁב לַלְוִיִּם כִּתְבוּאַת גֹּרֶן וְכִתְבוּאַת יָקֶב. לאוַאֲכַלְתֶּם אֹתוֹ בְּכָל מָקוֹם אַתֶּם וּבֵיתְכֶם כִּי שָׂכָר הוּא לָכֶם חֵלֶף עֲבֹדַתְכֶם בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד. לבוְלֹא תִשְׂאוּ עָלָיו חֵטְא בַּהֲרִימְכֶם אֶת חֶלְבּוֹ מִמֶּנּוּ וְאֶת קָדְשֵׁי בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא תְחַלְּלוּ וְלֹא תָמוּתוּ.
