1“These are the Khukot and the Mishpatim, which you shall observe to do in the land which יהוה , the Elohim of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live upon the earth. 2You shall surely destroy all the places, wherein the nations that you are to dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every evergreen tree. 3And you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and you shall hew down the graven images of their gods; and you shall destroy their name out of that place. 4You shall not do so unto יהוה your Elohim. 5But unto the place which יהוה your Elohim shall choose out of all your tribes to put His Name there, even unto His habitation shall you seek, and there you shall come; 6and there you shall bring your Olot, and your Z’vakhim, and your tenth-parts, and the offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock; 7and there you shall eat before יהוה your Elohim, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand unto, you and your households, wherein יהוה your Elohim has blessed you. 8You shall not do after all that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes; 9for you are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which יהוה your Elohim gives you. 10But when you go over the Yarden, and dwell in the land which יהוה your Elohim causes you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety; 11then it shall come to pass that the place which יהוה your Elohim shall choose to cause His Name to dwell there, there shall you bring all that I command you: your Olot, and your Z’vakhim, your tenth-parts, and the offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow unto יהוה . And12 you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and HaLevi that is within your gates, forasmuch as he has no portion nor inheritance with you. 13Take heed to yourself that you offer not your burnt-offerings in every place that you see; 14but in the place which יהוה shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your Olot, and there you shall do all that I command you. 15Notwithstanding you may kill and eat meat within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of יהוה your Elohim which He has given you; the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart. 16Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out upon the earth as water. 17You may not eat within your gates the tenth-part of your grain, or of your choice wine, or of your oil, or the firstlings of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill-offerings, nor the offering of your hand; 18but you shall eat them before יהוה your Elohim in the place which יהוה your Elohim shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your man-servant, and your maid-servant, and HaLevi that is within your gates; and you shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim in all that you put your hand unto. 19Take heed to yourself that you forsake not HaLevi as long as you live upon your land.”
20“When יהוה your Elohim shall enlarge your border, as He has promised you, and you shall say, ‘I will eat meat’, because your soul desires to eat meat; you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul. 21If the place which יהוה your Elohim shall choose to put His Name there is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which יהוה has given you, as I have commanded you, and you shall eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul. 22But as the gazelle and as the hart is eaten, so you shall eat thereof; the unclean and the clean may eat thereof alike. 23Only be stedfast in not eating the blood; for the blood is the life; and you shall not eat the life with the flesh. 24You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out upon the earth as water. 25You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of יהוה . Only26 your k’doshim which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go unto the place which יהוה shall choose; 27and you shall offer your Olot, the meat and the blood, upon the Mizbe’akh of יהוה your Elohim; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out against the Mizbe’akh of יהוה your Elohim, and you shall eat the meat. 28Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the eyes of יהוה your Elohim.”
29“When יהוה your Elohim shall cut off the nations from before you where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, 30take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before you; and that you inquire not after their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations used to serve their gods? Even so will I do likewise.’ 31You shall not do so unto יהוה your Elohim; for every abomination to יהוה , which He hates, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.”
אאֵלֶּה הַחֻקִּים וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר תִּשְׁמְרוּן לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן יהוה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹתֶיךָ לְךָ לְרִשְׁתָּהּ כָּל הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם חַיִּים עַל הָאֲדָמָה. באַבֵּד תְּאַבְּדוּן אֶת כָּל הַמְּקֹמוֹת אֲשֶׁר עָבְדוּ שָׁם הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יֹרְשִׁים אֹתָם אֶת אֱלֹהֵיהֶם עַל הֶהָרִים הָרָמִים וְעַל הַגְּבָעוֹת וְתַחַת כָּל עֵץ רַעֲנָן. גוְנִתַּצְתֶּם אֶת מִזְבְּחֹתָם וְשִׁבַּרְתֶּם אֶת מַצֵּבֹתָם וַאֲשֵׁרֵיהֶם תִּשְׂרְפוּן בָּאֵשׁ וּפְסִילֵי אֱלֹהֵיהֶם תְּגַדֵּעוּן וְאִבַּדְתֶּם אֶת שְׁמָם מִן הַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא. דלֹא תַעֲשׂוּן כֵּן לַיהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם. הכִּי אִם אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם מִכָּל שִׁבְטֵיכֶם לָשׂוּם אֶת שְׁמוֹ שָׁם לְשִׁכְנוֹ תִדְרְשׁוּ וּבָאתָ שָּׁמָּה. ווַהֲבֵאתֶם שָׁמָּה עֹלֹתֵיכֶם וְזִבְחֵיכֶם וְאֵת מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם וְאֵת תְּרוּמַת יֶדְכֶם וְנִדְרֵיכֶם וְנִדְבֹתֵיכֶם וּבְכֹרֹת בְּקַרְכֶם וְצֹאנְכֶם. זוַאֲכַלְתֶּם שָׁם לִפְנֵי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וּשְׂמַחְתֶּם בְּכֹל מִשְׁלַח יֶדְכֶם אַתֶּם וּבָתֵּיכֶם אֲשֶׁר בֵּרַכְךָ יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ. חלֹא תַעֲשׂוּן כְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר אֲנַחְנוּ עֹשִׂים פֹּה הַיּוֹם אִישׁ כָּל הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו. טכִּי לֹא בָאתֶם עַד עָתָּה אֶל הַמְּנוּחָה וְאֶל הַנַּחֲלָה אֲשֶׁר יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ. יוַעֲבַרְתֶּם אֶת הַיַּרְדֵּן וִישַׁבְתֶּם בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם מַנְחִיל אֶתְכֶם וְהֵנִיחַ לָכֶם מִכָּל אֹיְבֵיכֶם מִסָּבִיב וִישַׁבְתֶּם בֶּטַח. יאוְהָיָה הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם בּוֹ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם שָׁמָּה תָבִיאוּ אֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּה אֶתְכֶם עוֹלֹתֵיכֶם וְזִבְחֵיכֶם מַעְשְׂרֹתֵיכֶם וּתְרֻמַת יֶדְכֶם וְכֹל מִבְחַר נִדְרֵיכֶם אֲשֶׁר תִּדְּרוּ לַיהוה . יבוּשְׂמַחְתֶּם לִפְנֵי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם אַתֶּם וּבְנֵיכֶם וּבְנֹתֵיכֶם וְעַבְדֵיכֶם וְאַמְהֹתֵיכֶם וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בְּשַׁעֲרֵיכֶם כִּי אֵין לוֹ חֵלֶק וְנַחֲלָה אִתְּכֶם. יגהִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן תַּעֲלֶה עֹלֹתֶיךָ בְּכָל מָקוֹם אֲשֶׁר תִּרְאֶה. ידכִּי אִם בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יהוה בְּאַחַד שְׁבָטֶיךָ שָׁם תַּעֲלֶה עֹלֹתֶיךָ וְשָׁם תַּעֲשֶׂה כֹּל אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּךָּ. טורַק בְּכָל אַוַּת נַפְשְׁךָ תִּזְבַּח וְאָכַלְתָּ בָשָׂר כְּבִרְכַּת יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לְךָ בְּכָל שְׁעָרֶיךָ הַטָּמֵא וְהַטָּהוֹר יֹאכְלֶנּוּ כַּצְּבִי וְכָאַיָּל. טזרַק הַדָּם לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ עַל הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּ כַּמָּיִם. יזלֹא תוּכַל לֶאֱכֹל בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ מַעְשַׂר דְּגָנְךָ וְתִירֹשְׁךָ וְיִצְהָרֶךָ וּבְכֹרֹת בְּקָרְךָ וְצֹאנֶךָ וְכָל נְדָרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּדֹּר וְנִדְבֹתֶיךָ וּתְרוּמַת יָדֶךָ. יחכִּי אִם לִפְנֵי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בּוֹ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְשָׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל מִשְׁלַח יָדֶךָ. יטהִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן תַּעֲזֹב אֶת הַלֵּוִי כָּל יָמֶיךָ עַל אַדְמָתֶךָ.
ככִּי יַרְחִיב יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת גְּבֻלְךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לָךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ אֹכְלָה בָשָׂר כִּי תְאַוֶּה נַפְשְׁךָ לֶאֱכֹל בָּשָׂר בְּכָל אַוַּת נַפְשְׁךָ תֹּאכַל בָּשָׂר. כאכִּי יִרְחַק מִמְּךָ הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לָשׂוּם שְׁמוֹ שָׁם וְזָבַחְתָּ מִבְּקָרְךָ וּמִצֹּאנְךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן יהוה לְךָ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִךָ וְאָכַלְתָּ בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ בְּכֹל אַוַּת נַפְשֶׁךָ. כבאַךְ כַּאֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵל אֶת הַצְּבִי וְאֶת הָאַיָּל כֵּן תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ הַטָּמֵא וְהַטָּהוֹר יַחְדָּו יֹאכְלֶנּוּ. כגרַק חֲזַק לְבִלְתִּי אֲכֹל הַדָּם כִּי הַדָּם הוּא הַנָּפֶשׁ וְלֹא תֹאכַל הַנֶּפֶשׁ עִם הַבָּשָׂר. כדלֹא תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ עַל הָאָרֶץ תִּשְׁפְּכֶנּוּ כַּמָּיִם. כהלֹא תֹּאכְלֶנּוּ לְמַעַן יִיטַב לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ כִּי תַעֲשֶׂה הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יהוה . כורַק קָדָשֶׁיךָ אֲשֶׁר יִהְיוּ לְךָ וּנְדָרֶיךָ תִּשָּׂא וּבָאתָ אֶל הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יהוה . כזוְעָשִׂיתָ עֹלֹתֶיךָ הַבָּשָׂר וְהַדָּם עַל מִזְבַּח יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְדַם זְבָחֶיךָ יִשָּׁפֵךְ עַל מִזְבַּח יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְהַבָּשָׂר תֹּאכֵל. כחשְׁמֹר וְשָׁמַעְתָּ אֵת כָּל הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוֶּךָּ לְמַעַן יִיטַב לְךָ וּלְבָנֶיךָ אַחֲרֶיךָ עַד עוֹלָם כִּי תַעֲשֶׂה הַטּוֹב וְהַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ.
כטכִּי יַכְרִית יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֶת הַגּוֹיִם אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה בָא שָׁמָּה לָרֶשֶׁת אוֹתָם מִפָּנֶיךָ וְיָרַשְׁתָּ אֹתָם וְיָשַׁבְתָּ בְּאַרְצָם. להִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן תִּנָּקֵשׁ אַחֲרֵיהֶם אַחֲרֵי הִשָּׁמְדָם מִפָּנֶיךָ וּפֶן תִּדְרֹשׁ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם לֵאמֹר אֵיכָה יַעַבְדוּ הַגּוֹיִם הָאֵלֶּה אֶת אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וְאֶעֱשֶׂה כֵּן גַּם אָנִי. לאלֹא תַעֲשֶׂה כֵן לַיהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כִּי כָל תּוֹעֲבַת יהוה אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵא עָשׂוּ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם כִּי גַם אֶת בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת בְּנֹתֵיהֶם יִשְׂרְפוּ בָאֵשׁ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶם.
