B’reshit 10 – ברשית י

¹Now these are the generations of the sons of No’akh: Shem, Kham, and Yafet; and unto them were sons born after the flood. ²The sons of Yafet: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Yavan, and Tuval, and Meshech, and Tiras. ³And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Rifat, and Togarmah. ⁴And the sons of Yavan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kitim, and Dodanim. ⁵Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. ⁶And the sons of Kham: Kush, and Mitzrayim, and Put, and Kena’an. ⁷And the sons of Kush: Seva, and Khavilah, and Savtah, and Ra’amah, and Savtekha; and the sons of Ra’amah: Sheva, and Dedan. ⁸And Kush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth. ⁹He was a mighty hunter before  יהוה  ; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before  יהוה .” And¹⁰ the beginning of his kingdom was Bavel, and Erekh, and Akad, and Kalneh, in the land of Shinar. ¹¹Out of that land went forth Ashur, and built Nineveh, and Rekhovot-ir, and Kalakh, ¹²and Resen between Nineveh and Kalakh, the same is the great city. ¹³And Mitzrayim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehavim, and Naftukhim, ¹⁴and Patrusim, and Kaslukhim, from where the Pilishtim came forth, and Kaftorim. ¹⁵And Kena’an begot Tzidon his firstborn, and Khet; ¹⁶and the Yevusi, and the Amori, and the Girgashi; ¹⁷and the Khivi, and the Arki, and the Sini; ¹⁸and the Arvadi, and the Tzemari, and the Khamati; and afterward were the families of the Kena’ani spread abroad. ¹⁹And the border of the Kena’ani was from Tzidon, as you go toward Gerar, unto Azatah; as you go toward S’dom and Amorah and Admah and Zevoi’im, unto Lasha. ²⁰These are the sons of Kham, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, in their nations. ²¹And unto Shem, the father of all the children of Ever, the greater brother of Yafet, to him also were children born. ²²The sons of Shem: Elam, and Ashur, and Arfakhshad, and Lud,  and  Aram.  ²³And  the  sons  of  Aram: Utz, and Khul,  and Geter,  and Mash.  ²⁴And  Arfakhshad  begot Shalakh;  and  Shalakh  begot  Ever. ²⁵And unto Ever were born two sons; the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Yoktan. ²⁶And Yoktan begot Almodad, and Shelef, and Khazarmavet, and Yerah; ²⁷and Kadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah; ²⁸and Oval, and Avima’el, and Sheva; ²⁹and Ofir, and Khavilah, and Yovav; all these were the sons of Yoktan. ³⁰And their dwelling was from Mesha, as you go toward Sefar, unto the mountain of the east. ³¹These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their languages, in their lands, after their nations. ³²These are the families of the sons of No’akh, after their generations, in their nations; and of these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

^אוְאֵלֶּה תּוֹלְדֹת בְּנֵי נֹחַ שֵׁם חָם וָיָפֶת וַיִּוָּלְדוּ לָהֶם בָּנִים אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל. ^בבְּנֵי יֶפֶת גֹּמֶר וּמָגוֹג וּמָדַי וְיָוָן וְתֻבָל וּמֶשֶׁךְ וְתִירָס. ^גוּבְנֵי גֹּמֶר אַשְׁכְּנַז וְרִיפַת וְתֹגַרְמָה. ^דוּבְנֵי יָוָן אֱלִישָׁה וְתַרְשִׁישׁ כִּתִּים וְדֹדָנִים. ^המֵאֵלֶּה נִפְרְדוּ אִיֵּי הַגּוֹיִם בְּאַרְצֹתָם אִישׁ לִלְשֹׁנוֹ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם בְּגוֹיֵהֶם. ^ווּבְנֵי חָם כּוּשׁ וּמִצְרַיִם וּפוּט וּכְנָעַן. ^זוּבְנֵי כוּשׁ סְבָא וַחֲוִילָה וְסַבְתָּה וְרַעְמָה וְסַבְתְּכָא וּבְנֵי רַעְמָה שְׁבָא וּדְדָן. ^חוְכוּשׁ יָלַד אֶת נִמְרֹד הוּא הֵחֵל לִהְיוֹת גִּבֹּר בָּאָרֶץ. ^טהוּא הָיָה גִבֹּר צַיִד לִפְנֵי יהוה עַל כֵּן יֵאָמַר כְּנִמְרֹד גִּבּוֹר צַיִד לִפְנֵי יהוה . ^יוַתְּהִי רֵאשִׁית מַמְלַכְתּוֹ בָּבֶל וְאֶרֶךְ וְאַכַּד וְכַלְנֵה בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁנְעָר. ^יאמִן הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא יָצָא אַשּׁוּר וַיִּבֶן אֶת נִינְוֵה וְאֶת רְחֹבֹת עִיר וְאֶת כָּלַח. ^יבוְאֶת רֶסֶן בֵּין נִינְוֵה וּבֵין כָּלַח הִוא הָעִיר הַגְּדֹלָה. ^יגוּמִצְרַיִם יָלַד אֶת לוּדִים וְאֶת עֲנָמִים וְאֶת לְהָבִים וְאֶת נַפְתֻּחִים. ^ידוְאֶת פַּתְרֻסִים וְאֶת כַּסְלֻחִים אֲשֶׁר יָצְאוּ מִשָּׁם פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְאֶת כַּפְתֹּרִים. ^טווּכְנַעַן יָלַד אֶת צִידֹן בְּכֹרוֹ וְאֶת חֵת. ^טזוְאֶת הַיְבוּסִי וְאֶת הָאֱמֹרִי וְאֵת הַגִּרְגָּשִׁי. ^יזוְאֶת הַחִוִּי וְאֶת הַעַרְקִי וְאֶת הַסִּינִי. ^יחוְאֶת הָאַרְוָדִי וְאֶת הַצְּמָרִי וְאֶת הַחֲמָתִי וְאַחַר נָפֹצוּ מִשְׁפְּחוֹת הַכְּנַעֲנִי. ^יטוַיְהִי גְּבוּל הַכְּנַעֲנִי מִצִּידֹן בֹּאֲכָה גְרָרָה עַד עַזָּה בֹּאֲכָה סְדֹמָה וַעֲמֹרָה וְאַדְמָה וּצְבֹיִם עַד לָשַׁע. ^כאֵלֶּה בְנֵי חָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָם בְּאַרְצֹתָם בְּגוֹיֵהֶם. ^כאוּלְשֵׁם יֻלַּד גַּם הוּא אֲבִי כָּל בְּנֵי עֵבֶר אֲחִי יֶפֶת הַגָּדוֹל. ^כבבְּנֵי שֵׁם עֵילָם וְאַשּׁוּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד וְלוּד וַאֲרָם. ^כגוּבְנֵי אֲרָם עוּץ וְחוּל וְגֶתֶר וָמַשׁ. ^כדוְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד יָלַד אֶת שָׁלַח וְשֶׁלַח יָלַד אֶת עֵבֶר. ^כהוּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד שְׁנֵי בָנִים שֵׁם הָאֶחָד  פֶּלֶג  כִּי  בְיָמָיו  נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יָקְטָן. ^כווְיָקְטָן יָלַד אֶת אַלְמוֹדָד וְאֶת שָׁלֶף וְאֶת חֲצַרְמָוֶת וְאֶת יָרַח. ^כזוְאֶת הֲדוֹרָם וְאֶת אוּזָל וְאֶת דִּקְלָה. ^כחוְאֶת עוֹבָל וְאֶת אֲבִימָאֵל וְאֶת שְׁבָא. ^כטוְאֶת אוֹפִר וְאֶת חֲוִילָה וְאֶת  יוֹבָב כָּל אֵלֶּה  בְּנֵי יָקְטָן.  ^לוַיְהִי  מוֹשָׁבָם מִמֵּשָׁא בֹּאֲכָה סְפָרָה הַר הַקֶּדֶם. ^לאאֵלֶּה בְנֵי שֵׁם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָם בְּאַרְצֹתָם לְגוֹיֵהֶם. ^לבאֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵי נֹחַ לְתוֹלְדֹתָם בְּגוֹיֵהֶם וּמֵאֵלֶּה נִפְרְדוּ הַגּוֹיִם בָּאָרֶץ אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל.
