Parashat Bo
1And יהוה said unto Moshe, “Come unto Paroh; for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might show these My signs in the midst of them; 2and that you may tell in the ears of your son, and of your son’s son, what I have wrought upon Mitzrayim, and My signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am יהוה .” And 3Moshe and Aharon went in unto Paroh, and said unto him, “Thus says יהוה , the Elohim of the Ivrim, ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me. 4Else, if you refuse to let My people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring locusts into your border; 5and they shall cover the face of the earth, that one shall not be able to see the earth; and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remains unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field; 6and your houses shall be filled, and the houses of all your servants, and the houses of all Mitzrayim; as neither your fathers nor your fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day’.” And he turned, and went out from Paroh. 7And Paroh’s servants said unto him, “How long shall this man be a snare unto us? Let the men go, that they may serve יהוה their Elohim; do you not yet know that Mitzrayim is destroyed?”
8And Moshe and Aharon were brought again unto Paroh; and he said unto them, “Go, serve יהוה your Elohim; but who are they that shall go?” 9And Moshe said, “We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds we will go; for we must hold a Khag unto יהוה .” And 10he said unto them, “So may יהוה be with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones; you see that evil is before your face. 11Not so; go now you that are men, and serve יהוה ; for that is what you desire.” And they were driven out from Paroh’s presence.
12And יהוה said unto Moshe, “Stretch out your hand over the land of Mitzrayim for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Mitzrayim, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.” 13And Moshe stretched forth his rod over the land of Mitzrayim, and יהוה brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all the night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. 14And the locusts went up over all the land of Mitzrayim, and rested in all the borders of Mitzrayim; very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. 15For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left; and there remained not any green thing, either tree or herb of the field, through all the land of Mitzrayim. 16Then Paroh called for Moshe and Aharon in haste; and he said, “I have sinned against יהוה your Elohim, and against you. 17Now therefore, forgive, I pray, my sin only this once, and entreat יהוה your Elohim, that He may take away from me this death only.” 18And he went out from Paroh, and entreated יהוה . And19 יהוה turned an exceedingly strong west wind, which took up the locusts, and drove them into Yam Suf; there remained not one locust in all the border of Mitzrayim. 20But יהוה strengthened Paroh’s heart, and he did not let B’nei Yisra’el go.
21And יהוה said unto Moshe, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Mitzrayim, even darkness which may be felt.” 22And Moshe stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Mitzrayim, three days; 23they saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days; but all B’nei Yisra’el had light in their dwellings. 24And Paroh called unto Moshe, and said, “Go, serve יהוה ; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed; let your little ones also go with you.” 25And Moshe said, “You must also give into our hand Z’vakhim and Olot, that we may sacrifice unto יהוה our Elohim. 26Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not a hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve יהוה our Elohim; and we know not with what we must serve יהוה , until we get there.” 27But יהוה strengthened Paroh’s heart, and he would not let them go. 28And Paroh said unto him, “Get away from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in the day you see my face, you shall die.” 29And Moshe said, “You have spoken well; I will see your face again no more.”
פרשת בֹּא
אוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה בֹּא אֶל פַּרְעֹה כִּי אֲנִי הִכְבַּדְתִּי אֶת לִבּוֹ וְאֶת לֵב עֲבָדָיו לְמַעַן שִׁתִי אֹתֹתַי אֵלֶּה בְּקִרְבּוֹ. בוּלְמַעַן תְּסַפֵּר בְּאָזְנֵי בִנְךָ וּבֶן בִּנְךָ אֵת אֲשֶׁר הִתְעַלַּלְתִּי בְּמִצְרַיִם וְאֶת אֹתֹתַי אֲשֶׁר שַׂמְתִּי בָם וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי אֲנִי יהוה . גוַיָּבֹא מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן אֶל פַּרְעֹה וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלָיו כֹּה אָמַר יהוה אֱלֹהֵי הָעִבְרִים עַד מָתַי מֵאַנְתָּ לֵעָנֹת מִפָּנָי שַׁלַּח עַמִּי וְיַעַבְדֻנִי. דכִּי אִם מָאֵן אַתָּה לְשַׁלֵּחַ אֶת עַמִּי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא מָחָר אַרְבֶּה בִּגְבֻלֶךָ. הוְכִסָּה אֶת עֵין הָאָרֶץ וְלֹא יוּכַל לִרְאֹת אֶת הָאָרֶץ וְאָכַל אֶת יֶתֶר הַפְּלֵטָה הַנִּשְׁאֶרֶת לָכֶם מִן הַבָּרָד וְאָכַל אֶת כָּל הָעֵץ הַצֹּמֵחַ לָכֶם מִן הַשָּׂדֶה. ווּמָלְאוּ בָתֶּיךָ וּבָתֵּי כָל עֲבָדֶיךָ וּבָתֵּי כָל מִצְרַיִם אֲשֶׁר לֹא רָאוּ אֲבֹתֶיךָ וַאֲבוֹת אֲבֹתֶיךָ מִיּוֹם הֱיוֹתָם עַל הָאֲדָמָה עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה וַיִּפֶן וַיֵּצֵא מֵעִם פַּרְעֹה. זוַיֹּאמְרוּ עַבְדֵי פַרְעֹה אֵלָיו עַד מָתַי יִהְיֶה זֶה לָנוּ לְמוֹקֵשׁ שַׁלַּח אֶת הָאֲנָשִׁים וְיַעַבְדוּ אֶת יהוה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם הֲטֶרֶם תֵּדַע כִּי אָבְדָה מִצְרָיִם.
חוַיּוּשַׁב אֶת מֹשֶׁה וְאֶת אַהֲרֹן אֶל פַּרְעֹה וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם לְכוּ עִבְדוּ אֶת יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם מִי וָמִי הַהֹלְכִים. טוַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה בִּנְעָרֵינוּ וּבִזְקֵנֵינוּ נֵלֵךְ בְּבָנֵינוּ וּבִבְנוֹתֵנוּ בְּצֹאנֵנוּ וּבִבְקָרֵנוּ נֵלֵךְ כִּי חַג יהוה לָנוּ. יוַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם יְהִי כֵן יהוה עִמָּכֶם כַּאֲשֶׁר אֲשַׁלַּח אֶתְכֶם וְאֶת טַפְּכֶם רְאוּ כִּי רָעָה נֶגֶד פְּנֵיכֶם. יאלֹא כֵן לְכוּ נָא הַגְּבָרִים וְעִבְדוּ אֶת יהוה כִּי אֹתָהּ אַתֶּם מְבַקְשִׁים וַיְגָרֶשׁ אֹתָם מֵאֵת פְּנֵי פַרְעֹה.
יבוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה נְטֵה יָדְךָ עַל אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בָּאַרְבֶּה וְיַעַל עַל אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וְיֹאכַל אֶת כָּל עֵשֶׂב הָאָרֶץ אֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר הִשְׁאִיר הַבָּרָד. יגוַיֵּט מֹשֶׁה אֶת מַטֵּהוּ עַל אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וַיהוה נִהַג רוּחַ קָדִים בָּאָרֶץ כָּל הַיּוֹם הַהוּא וְכָל הַלָּיְלָה הַבֹּקֶר הָיָה וְרוּחַ הַקָּדִים נָשָׂא אֶת הָאַרְבֶּה. ידוַיַּעַל הָאַרְבֶּה עַל כָּל אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וַיָּנַח בְּכֹל גְּבוּל מִצְרָיִם כָּבֵד מְאֹד לְפָנָיו לֹא הָיָה כֵן אַרְבֶּה כָּמֹהוּ וְאַחֲרָיו לֹא יִהְיֶה כֵּן. טווַיְכַס אֶת עֵין כָּל הָאָרֶץ וַתֶּחְשַׁךְ הָאָרֶץ וַיֹּאכַל אֶת כָּל עֵשֶׂב הָאָרֶץ וְאֵת כָּל פְּרִי הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר הוֹתִיר הַבָּרָד וְלֹא נוֹתַר כָּל יֶרֶק בָּעֵץ וּבְעֵשֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה בְּכָל אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם. טזוַיְמַהֵר פַּרְעֹה לִקְרֹא לְמֹשֶׁה וּלְאַהֲרֹן וַיֹּאמֶר חָטָאתִי לַיהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְלָכֶם. יזוְעַתָּה שָׂא נָא חַטָּאתִי אַךְ הַפַּעַם וְהַעְתִּירוּ לַיהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְיָסֵר מֵעָלַי רַק אֶת הַמָּוֶת הַזֶּה. יחוַיֵּצֵא מֵעִם פַּרְעֹה וַיֶּעְתַּר אֶל יהוה . יטוַיַּהֲפֹךְ יהוה רוּחַ יָם חָזָק מְאֹד וַיִּשָּׂא אֶת הָאַרְבֶּה וַיִּתְקָעֵהוּ יָמָּה סּוּף לֹא נִשְׁאַר אַרְבֶּה אֶחָד בְּכֹל גְּבוּל מִצְרָיִם. כוַיְחַזֵּק יהוה אֶת לֵב פַּרְעֹה וְלֹא שִׁלַּח אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל.
כאוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה נְטֵה יָדְךָ עַל הַשָּׁמַיִם וִיהִי חֹשֶׁךְ עַל אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם וְיָמֵשׁ חֹשֶׁךְ. כבוַיֵּט מֹשֶׁה אֶת יָדוֹ עַל הַשָּׁמָיִם וַיְהִי חֹשֶׁךְ אֲפֵלָה בְּכָל אֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים. כגלֹא רָאוּ אִישׁ אֶת אָחִיו וְלֹא קָמוּ אִישׁ מִתַּחְתָּיו שְׁלֹשֶׁת יָמִים וּלְכָל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הָיָה אוֹר בְּמוֹשְׁבֹתָם. כדוַיִּקְרָא פַרְעֹה אֶל מֹשֶׁה וַיֹּאמֶר לְכוּ עִבְדוּ אֶת יהוה רַק צֹאנְכֶם וּבְקַרְכֶם יֻצָּג גַּם טַפְּכֶם יֵלֵךְ עִמָּכֶם. כהוַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה גַּם אַתָּה תִּתֵּן בְּיָדֵנוּ זְבָחִים וְעֹלֹת וְעָשִׂינוּ לַיהוה אֱלֹהֵינוּ. כווְגַם מִקְנֵנוּ יֵלֵךְ עִמָּנוּ לֹא תִשָּׁאֵר פַּרְסָה כִּי מִמֶּנּוּ נִקַּח לַעֲבֹד אֶת יהוה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וַאֲנַחְנוּ לֹא נֵדַע מַה נַּעֲבֹד אֶת יהוה עַד בֹּאֵנוּ שָׁמָּה. כזוַיְחַזֵּק יהוה אֶת לֵב פַּרְעֹה וְלֹא אָבָה לְשַׁלְּחָם. כחוַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ פַרְעֹה לֵךְ מֵעָלָי הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ אַל תֹּסֶף רְאוֹת פָּנַי כִּי בְּיוֹם רְאֹתְךָ פָנַי תָּמוּת. כטוַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה כֵּן דִּבַּרְתָּ לֹא אֹסִף עוֹד רְאוֹת פָּנֶיךָ.
