1And יהוה said unto Moshe, “Yet one plague more will I bring upon Paroh, and upon Mitzrayim; afterwards he will let you go hence; when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. 2Speak now in the ears of the people, and let them ask every man of his neighbor, and every woman of her neighbor, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.” 3And יהוה gave the people favor in the sight of Mitzrayim. Moreover the man Moshe was very great in the land of Mitzrayim, in the sight of Paroh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
4And Moshe said, “Thus says יהוה , ‘About midnight will I go out into the midst of Mitzrayim; 5and all the firstborn in the land of Mitzrayim shall die, from the firstborn of Paroh that sits upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maid-servant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of cattle. 6And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Mitzrayim, such as there has been none like it, nor shall be like it any more. 7But against any of B’nei Yisra’el shall not a dog whet his tongue, against man or beast; that you may know how that יהוה does put a difference between Mitzrayim and Yisra’el. 8And all these your servants shall come down unto me, and bow down unto me, saying, ‘Get out, and all the people that follow you;’ and after that I will go out.” And he went out from Paroh in hot anger.
9And יהוה said unto Moshe, “Paroh will not hearken unto you; that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Mitzrayim.” 10And Moshe and Aharon did all these wonders before Paroh; and יהוה hardened Paroh’s heart, and he did not let B’nei Yisra’el go out of his land.
אוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה עוֹד נֶגַע אֶחָד אָבִיא עַל פַּרְעֹה וְעַל מִצְרַיִם אַחֲרֵי כֵן יְשַׁלַּח אֶתְכֶם מִזֶּה כְּשַׁלְּחוֹ כָּלָה גָּרֵשׁ יְגָרֵשׁ אֶתְכֶם מִזֶּה. בדַּבֶּר נָא בְּאָזְנֵי הָעָם וְיִשְׁאֲלוּ אִישׁ מֵאֵת רֵעֵהוּ וְאִשָּׁה מֵאֵת רְעוּתָהּ כְּלֵי כֶסֶף וּכְלֵי זָהָב. גוַיִּתֵּן יהוה אֶת חֵן הָעָם בְּעֵינֵי מִצְרָיִם גַּם הָאִישׁ מֹשֶׁה גָּדוֹל מְאֹד בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם בְּעֵינֵי עַבְדֵי פַרְעֹה וּבְעֵינֵי הָעָם.
דוַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה כֹּה אָמַר יהוה כַּחֲצֹת הַלַּיְלָה אֲנִי יוֹצֵא בְּתוֹךְ מִצְרָיִם. הוּמֵת כָּל בְּכוֹר בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם מִבְּכוֹר פַּרְעֹה הַיֹּשֵׁב עַל כִּסְאוֹ עַד בְּכוֹר הַשִּׁפְחָה אֲשֶׁר אַחַר הָרֵחָיִם וְכֹל בְּכוֹר בְּהֵמָה. ווְהָיְתָה צְעָקָה גְדֹלָה בְּכָל אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם אֲשֶׁר כָּמֹהוּ לֹא נִהְיָתָה וְכָמֹהוּ לֹא תֹסִף. זוּלְכֹל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא יֶחֱרַץ כֶּלֶב לְשֹׁנוֹ לְמֵאִישׁ וְעַד בְּהֵמָה לְמַעַן תֵּדְעוּן אֲשֶׁר יַפְלֶה יהוה בֵּין מִצְרַיִם וּבֵין יִשְׂרָאֵל. חוְיָרְדוּ כָל עֲבָדֶיךָ אֵלֶּה אֵלַי וְהִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לִי לֵאמֹר צֵא אַתָּה וְכָל הָעָם אֲשֶׁר בְּרַגְלֶיךָ וְאַחֲרֵי כֵן אֵצֵא וַיֵּצֵא מֵעִם פַּרְעֹה בָּחֳרִי אָף.
טוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֹא יִשְׁמַע אֲלֵיכֶם פַּרְעֹה לְמַעַן רְבוֹת מוֹפְתַי בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם. יוּמֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן עָשׂוּ אֶת כָּל הַמֹּפְתִים הָאֵלֶּה לִפְנֵי פַרְעֹה וַיְחַזֵּק יהוה אֶת לֵב פַּרְעֹה וְלֹא שִׁלַּח אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאַרְצוֹ.
