1And bring near unto you Aharon your brother, and his sons with him, from among B’nei Yisra’el, that they may minister unto Me in the Kohen’s office, even Aharon, Nadav and Avihu, Elazar and Itamar, Aharon’s sons. 2And you shall make k’doshim garments for Aharon your brother, for splendor and for beauty. 3And you shall speak unto all that are wise-hearted, whom I have filled with the Ru’akh Khakhma, that they make Aharon’s garments to hallow him, that he may minister unto Me in the Kohen’s office. 4And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, and an Efod, and a robe, and a tunic of chequer work, a miter, and a girdle; and they shall make kadosh garments for Aharon your brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto Me in the Kohen’s office. 5And they shall take the gold, and the tekhelet, and the purple, and the scarlet, and the fine linen.
6And they shall make the Efod of gold, of tekhelet, and purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the skillful workman. 7It shall have two shoulder-pieces joined to the two ends thereof, that it may be joined together. 8And the skillfully woven band, which is upon it, wherewith to gird it on, shall be like the work thereof and of the same piece: of gold, of tekhelet, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. 9And you shall take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of B’nei Yisra’el: 10six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the six that remain on the other stone, according to their birth. 11With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shall you engrave the two stones, according to the names of B’nei Yisra’el; you shall make them to be inclosed in settings of gold. 12And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulder-pieces of the Efod, to be stones of memorial for B’nei Yisra’el; and Aharon shall bear their names before יהוה upon his two shoulders for a memorial. 13And you shall make settings of gold; 14and two chains of pure gold; of plaited thread shall you make them, of wreathen work; and you shall put the wreathen chains on the settings. 15And you shall make a breastplate of judgment, the work of the skillful workman; like the work of the Efod you shall make it: of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, shall you make it. 16Four-square it shall be, and double: a span shall be the length thereof, and a span the breadth thereof. 17And you shall set in it settings of stones, four rows of stones: a row of an odem, a pit’dah, and a bareket shall be the first row; 18and the second row a nofekh, a sapir, and a yahalom; 19and the third row a leshem, a shevo, and an akhlamah; 20and the fourth row a tarshish, a shoham, and a musabot; they shall be inclosed in gold in their settings. 21And the stones shall be according to the names of B’nei Yisra’el, twelve, according to their names; like the engravings of a signet, every one according to his name, they shall be for the twelve tribes. 22And you shall make upon the breastplate plaited chains of wreathen work of pure gold. 23And you shall make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate. 24And you shall put the two wreathen chains of gold on the two rings at the ends of the breastplate. 25And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains you shall put on the two settings, and put them on the shoulder-pieces of the Efod, in the forepart thereof. 26And you shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them upon the two ends of the breastplate, upon the edge thereof, which is toward the side of the Efod inward. 27And you shall make two rings of gold, and shall put them on the two shoulder-pieces of the Efod underneath, in the forepart thereof, close by the coupling thereof, above the skillfully woven band of the Efod. 28And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the Efod with a thread of tekhelet, that it may be upon the skillfully woven band of the Efod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the Efod. 29And Aharon shall bear the names of B’nei Yisra’el in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in unto HaKodesh, for a memorial before יהוה continually. 30And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment HaUrim and HaTummim; and they shall be upon Aharon’s heart, when he goes in before יהוה ; and Aharon shall bear the judgment of B’nei Yisra’el upon his heart before יהוה continually. 31And you shall make the robe of the Efod all of tekhelet. 32And it shall have a hole for the head in the midst thereof; it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of a coat of mail, so it will not tear. 33And upon the skirts of it you shall make pomegranates of tekhelet, and of Argaman, and of Tola’at Shani, round about the skirts thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: 34a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the skirts of the robe round about. 35And it shall be upon Aharon to minister; and the sound thereof shall be heard when he goes in unto HaKodesh before יהוה , and when he comes out, that he dies not. 36And you shall make a crown of pure gold, and engrave upon it, like the engravings of a signet: KODESH unto יהוה . And37 you shall put it on a thread of tekhelet, and it shall be upon the miter; upon the forefront of the miter it shall be. 38And it shall be upon Aharon’s forehead, and Aharon shall bear the iniquity committed in the kadosh things, which B’nei Yisra’el shall hallow, even in all their kadosh gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before יהוה . And39 you shall weave the tunic in chequer work of fine linen, and you shall make a miter of fine linen, and you shall make a girdle, the work of the weaver in colors. 40And for Aharon’s sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make for them girdles, and head-turbans shall you make for them, for splendor and for glory. 41And you shall put them upon Aharon your brother, and upon his sons with him; and shall anoint them, and confirm them, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto Me in the Kohen’s office. 42And you shall make them linen breeches to cover the flesh of their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach. 43And they shall be upon Aharon, and upon his sons, when they go in unto the Ohel Mo’ed, or when they come near unto the Mizbe’akh to minister in HaKodesh; that they bear not iniquity, and die; it shall be a statute forever unto him and unto his seed after him.
אוְאַתָּה הַקְרֵב אֵלֶיךָ אֶת אַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וְאֶת בָּנָיו אִתּוֹ מִתּוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְכַהֲנוֹ לִי אַהֲרֹן נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן. בוְעָשִׂיתָ בִגְדֵי קֹדֶשׁ לְאַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ לְכָבוֹד וּלְתִפְאָרֶת. גוְאַתָּה תְּדַבֵּר אֶל כָּל חַכְמֵי לֵב אֲשֶׁר מִלֵּאתִיו רוּחַ חָכְמָה וְעָשׂוּ אֶת בִּגְדֵי אַהֲרֹן לְקַדְּשׁוֹ לְכַהֲנוֹ לִי. דוְאֵלֶּה הַבְּגָדִים אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשׂוּ חֹשֶׁן וְאֵפוֹד וּמְעִיל וּכְתֹנֶת תַּשְׁבֵּץ מִצְנֶפֶת וְאַבְנֵט וְעָשׂוּ בִגְדֵי קֹדֶשׁ לְאַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וּלְבָנָיו לְכַהֲנוֹ לִי. הוְהֵם יִקְחוּ אֶת הַזָּהָב וְאֶת הַתְּכֵלֶת וְאֶת הָאַרְגָּמָן וְאֶת תּוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי וְאֶת הַשֵּׁשׁ.
ווְעָשׂוּ אֶת הָאֵפֹד זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן תּוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב. זשְׁתֵּי כְתֵפֹת חֹבְרֹת יִהְיֶה לּוֹ אֶל שְׁנֵי קְצוֹתָיו וְחֻבָּר. חוְחֵשֶׁב אֲפֻדָּתוֹ אֲשֶׁר עָלָיו כְּמַעֲשֵׂהוּ מִמֶּנּוּ יִהְיֶה זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר. טוְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת שְׁתֵּי אַבְנֵי שֹׁהַם וּפִתַּחְתָּ עֲלֵיהֶם שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל. ישִׁשָּׁה מִשְּׁמֹתָם עַל הָאֶבֶן הָאֶחָת וְאֶת שְׁמוֹת הַשִּׁשָּׁה הַנּוֹתָרִים עַל הָאֶבֶן הַשֵּׁנִית כְּתוֹלְדֹתָם. יאמַעֲשֵׂה חָרַשׁ אֶבֶן פִּתּוּחֵי חֹתָם תְּפַתַּח אֶת שְׁתֵּי הָאֲבָנִים עַל שְׁמֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֻסַבֹּת מִשְׁבְּצוֹת זָהָב תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם. יבוְשַׂמְתָּ אֶת שְׁתֵּי הָאֲבָנִים עַל כִּתְפֹת הָאֵפֹד אַבְנֵי זִכָּרֹן לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנָשָׂא אַהֲרֹן אֶת שְׁמוֹתָם לִפְנֵי יהוה עַל שְׁתֵּי כְתֵפָיו לְזִכָּרֹן. יגוְעָשִׂיתָ מִשְׁבְּצֹת זָהָב. ידוּשְׁתֵּי שַׁרְשְׁרֹת זָהָב טָהוֹר מִגְבָּלֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם מַעֲשֵׂה עֲבֹת וְנָתַתָּה אֶת שַׁרְשְׁרֹת הָעֲבֹתֹת עַל הַמִּשְׁבְּצֹת. טווְעָשִׂיתָ חֹשֶׁן מִשְׁפָּט מַעֲשֵׂה חֹשֵׁב כְּמַעֲשֵׂה אֵפֹד תַּעֲשֶׂנּוּ זָהָב תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי וְשֵׁשׁ מָשְׁזָר תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתוֹ. טזרָבוּעַ יִהְיֶה כָּפוּל זֶרֶת אָרְכּוֹ וְזֶרֶת רָחְבּוֹ. יזוּמִלֵּאתָ בוֹ מִלֻּאַת אֶבֶן אַרְבָּעָה טוּרִים אָבֶן טוּר אֹדֶם פִּטְדָה וּבָרֶקֶת הַטּוּר הָאֶחָד. יחוְהַטּוּר הַשֵּׁנִי נֹפֶךְ סַפִּיר וְיָהֲלֹם. יטוְהַטּוּר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי לֶשֶׁם שְׁבוֹ וְאַחְלָמָה. כוְהַטּוּר הָרְבִיעִי תַּרְשִׁישׁ וְשֹׁהַם וְיָשְׁפֵה מְשֻׁבָּצִים זָהָב יִהְיוּ בְּמִלּוּאֹתָם. כאוְהָאֲבָנִים תִּהְיֶיןָ עַל שְׁמֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה עַל שְׁמֹתָם פִּתּוּחֵי חוֹתָם אִישׁ עַל שְׁמוֹ תִּהְיֶיןָ לִשְׁנֵי עָשָׂר שָׁבֶט. כבוְעָשִׂיתָ עַל הַחֹשֶׁן שַׁרְשֹׁת גַּבְלֻת מַעֲשֵׂה עֲבֹת זָהָב טָהוֹר. כגוְעָשִׂיתָ עַל הַחֹשֶׁן שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעוֹת זָהָב וְנָתַתָּ אֶת שְׁתֵּי הַטַּבָּעוֹת עַל שְׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן. כדוְנָתַתָּה אֶת שְׁתֵּי עֲבֹתֹת הַזָּהָב עַל שְׁתֵּי הַטַּבָּעֹת אֶל קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן. כהוְאֵת שְׁתֵּי קְצוֹת שְׁתֵּי הָעֲבֹתֹת תִּתֵּן עַל שְׁתֵּי הַמִּשְׁבְּצוֹת וְנָתַתָּה עַל כִּתְפוֹת הָאֵפֹד אֶל מוּל פָּנָיו. כווְעָשִׂיתָ שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעוֹת זָהָב וְשַׂמְתָּ אֹתָם עַל שְׁנֵי קְצוֹת הַחֹשֶׁן עַל שְׂפָתוֹ אֲשֶׁר אֶל עֵבֶר הָאֵפֹד בָּיְתָה. כזוְעָשִׂיתָ שְׁתֵּי טַבְּעוֹת זָהָב וְנָתַתָּה אֹתָם עַל שְׁתֵּי כִתְפוֹת הָאֵפוֹד מִלְּמַטָּה מִמּוּל פָּנָיו לְעֻמַּת מַחְבַּרְתּוֹ מִמַּעַל לְחֵשֶׁב הָאֵפוֹד. כחוְיִרְכְּסוּ אֶת הַחֹשֶׁן מִטַּבְּעֹתָו אֶל טַבְּעֹת הָאֵפוֹד בִּפְתִיל תְּכֵלֶת לִהְיוֹת עַל חֵשֶׁב הָאֵפוֹד וְלֹא יִזַּח הַחֹשֶׁן מֵעַל הָאֵפוֹד. כטוְנָשָׂא אַהֲרֹן אֶת שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּחֹשֶׁן הַמִּשְׁפָּט עַל לִבּוֹ בְּבֹאוֹ אֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ לְזִכָּרֹן לִפְנֵי יהוה תָּמִיד. לוְנָתַתָּ אֶל חֹשֶׁן הַמִּשְׁפָּט אֶת הָאוּרִים וְאֶת הַתֻּמִּים וְהָיוּ עַל לֵב אַהֲרֹן בְּבֹאוֹ לִפְנֵי יהוה וְנָשָׂא אַהֲרֹן אֶת מִשְׁפַּט בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל לִבּוֹ לִפְנֵי יהוה תָּמִיד. לאוְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת מְעִיל הָאֵפוֹד כְּלִיל תְּכֵלֶת. לבוְהָיָה פִי רֹאשׁוֹ בְּתוֹכוֹ שָׂפָה יִהְיֶה לְפִיו סָבִיב מַעֲשֵׂה אֹרֵג כְּפִי תַחְרָא יִהְיֶה לּוֹ לֹא יִקָּרֵעַ. לגוְעָשִׂיתָ עַל שׁוּלָיו רִמֹּנֵי תְּכֵלֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן וְתוֹלַעַת שָׁנִי עַל שׁוּלָיו סָבִיב וּפַעֲמֹנֵי זָהָב בְּתוֹכָם סָבִיב. לדפַּעֲמֹן זָהָב וְרִמּוֹן פַּעֲמֹן זָהָב וְרִמּוֹן עַל שׁוּלֵי הַמְּעִיל סָבִיב. להוְהָיָה עַל אַהֲרֹן לְשָׁרֵת וְנִשְׁמַע קוֹלוֹ בְּבֹאוֹ אֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ לִפְנֵי יהוה וּבְצֵאתוֹ וְלֹא יָמוּת. לווְעָשִׂיתָ צִּיץ זָהָב טָהוֹר וּפִתַּחְתָּ עָלָיו פִּתּוּחֵי חֹתָם קֹדֶשׁ לַיהוה . לזוְשַׂמְתָּ אֹתוֹ עַל פְּתִיל תְּכֵלֶת וְהָיָה עַל הַמִּצְנָפֶת אֶל מוּל פְּנֵי הַמִּצְנֶפֶת יִהְיֶה. לחוְהָיָה עַל מֵצַח אַהֲרֹן וְנָשָׂא אַהֲרֹן אֶת עֲוֹן הַקֳּדָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר יַקְדִּישׁוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְכָל מַתְּנֹת קָדְשֵׁיהֶם וְהָיָה עַל מִצְחוֹ תָּמִיד לְרָצוֹן לָהֶם לִפְנֵי יהוה . לטוְשִׁבַּצְתָּ הַכְּתֹנֶת שֵׁשׁ וְעָשִׂיתָ מִצְנֶפֶת שֵׁשׁ וְאַבְנֵט תַּעֲשֶׂה מַעֲשֵׂה רֹקֵם. מוְלִבְנֵי אַהֲרֹן תַּעֲשֶׂה כֻתֳּנֹת וְעָשִׂיתָ לָהֶם אַבְנֵטִים וּמִגְבָּעוֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה לָהֶם לְכָבוֹד וּלְתִפְאָרֶת. מאוְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם אֶת אַהֲרֹן אָחִיךָ וְאֶת בָּנָיו אִתּוֹ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ אֹתָם וּמִלֵּאתָ אֶת יָדָם וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם וְכִהֲנוּ לִי. מבוַעֲשֵׂה לָהֶם מִכְנְסֵי בָד לְכַסּוֹת בְּשַׂר עֶרְוָה מִמָּתְנַיִם וְעַד יְרֵכַיִם יִהְיוּ. מגוְהָיוּ עַל אַהֲרֹן וְעַל בָּנָיו בְּבֹאָם אֶל אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד אוֹ בְגִשְׁתָּם אֶל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לְשָׁרֵת בַּקֹּדֶשׁ וְלֹא יִשְׂאוּ עָוֹן וָמֵתוּ חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לוֹ וּלְזַרְעוֹ אַחֲרָיו.
