1And יהוה said unto Moshe, “Now shall you see what I will do to Paroh; for by a strong hand shall he let them go, and by a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.”
Parashat Va’Eirah
2And Elohim spoke unto Moshe, and said unto him, “I am יהוה ; and3 I appeared unto Avraham, unto Yitz’khak, and unto Ya’akov, as El Shadai, but by My Name, יהוה , I did not intimate myself with them. 4And I have also established My Brit with them, to give them the land of Kena’an, the land of their sojournings, wherein they sojourned. 5And moreover I have heard the groaning of B’nei Yisra’el, whom Mitzrayim keeps in bondage; and I have remembered My Brit. 6Therefore say unto B’nei Yisra’el, ‘I am יהוה , and I will bring you out from under the burdens of Mitzrayim, and I will deliver you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments; 7and I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you an Elohim; and you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out from under the burdens of Mitzrayim. 8And I will bring you in unto the land concerning which I lifted up My hand to give it to Avraham, to Yitz’khak, and to Ya’akov; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am יהוה .” And 9Moshe spoke so unto B’nei Yisra’el; but they hearkened not unto Moshe for impatience of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
10And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 11“Go in, speak unto Paroh king of Mitzrayim, that he let B’nei Yisra’el go out of his land.” 12And Moshe spoke before יהוה , saying, “Behold, B’nei Yisra’el have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Paroh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?”
13And יהוה spoke unto Moshe and unto Aharon, and gave them a charge unto B’nei Yisra’el, and unto Paroh king of Mitzrayim, to bring B’nei Yisra’el out of the land of Mitzrayim.
14These are the heads of their fathers’ houses: the sons of Re’uven the firstborn of Yisra’el: Khanokh, and Palu, Khetzron, and Karmi. These are the families of Re’uven. 15And the sons of Shimon: Yemu’el, and Yamin, and Ohad, and Yakhin, and Tzokhar, and Sha’ul the son of a Kena’ani woman. These are the families of Shimon. 16And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon and Kohat, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were a hundred and thirty-seven years. 17The sons of Gershon: Livni and Shimi, according to their families. 18And the sons of Kohat: Amram, and Yitzhar, and Khevron, and Uzi’el. And the years of the life of Kohat were a hundred thirty-three years. 19And the sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levi’im according to their generations. 20And Amram took him Yokheved his father’s sister as a wife; and she bore him Aharon and Moshe. And the years of the life of Amram were a hundred and thirty-seven years. 21And the sons of Yitzhar: Korakh, and Nefeg, and Zikhri. 22And the sons of Uzi’el: Misha’el, and Eltzafan, and Sitri. 23And Aharon took him Elisheva, the daughter of Aminadav, the sister of Nakhshon, as a wife; and she bore him Nadav and Avihu, Elazar and Itamar. 24And the sons of Korakh: Asir, and Elkanah, and Avi’asaf; these are the families of the Kor’khi. 25And Elazar Aharon’s son took him one of the daughters of Puti’el as a wife; and she bore him Pin’khas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levi’im according to their families. 26These are that Aharon and Moshe, to whom יהוה said, “Bring out B’nei Yisra’el from the land of Mitzrayim according to their hosts.” 27These are they that spoke to Paroh king of Mitzrayim, to bring out B’nei Yisra’el from Mitzrayim. These are that Moshe and Aharon.
28And it came to pass on the day when יהוה spoke unto Moshe in the land of Mitzrayim, 29that יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, “I am יהוה ; speak unto Paroh king of Mitzrayim all that I speak unto you.” 30And Moshe said before יהוה , “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Paroh hearken unto me?”
אוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה עַתָּה תִרְאֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶעֱשֶׂה לְפַרְעֹה כִּי בְיָד חֲזָקָה יְשַׁלְּחֵם וּבְיָד חֲזָקָה יְגָרְשֵׁם מֵאַרְצוֹ.
פרשת וָאֵרָא
בוַיְדַבֵּר אֱלֹהִים אֶל מֹשֶׁה וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו אֲנִי יהוה . גוָאֵרָא אֶל אַבְרָהָם אֶל יִצְחָק וְאֶל יַעֲקֹב בְּאֵל שַׁדָּי וּשְׁמִי יהוה לֹא נוֹדַעְתִּי לָהֶם. דוְגַם הֲקִמֹתִי אֶת בְּרִיתִי אִתָּם לָתֵת לָהֶם אֶת אֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן אֵת אֶרֶץ מְגֻרֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר גָּרוּ בָהּ. הוְגַם אֲנִי שָׁמַעְתִּי אֶת נַאֲקַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר מִצְרַיִם מַעֲבִדִים אֹתָם וָאֶזְכֹּר אֶת בְּרִיתִי. ולָכֵן אֱמֹר לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲנִי יהוה וְהוֹצֵאתִי אֶתְכֶם מִתַּחַת סִבְלֹת מִצְרַיִם וְהִצַּלְתִּי אֶתְכֶם מֵעֲבֹדָתָם וְגָאַלְתִּי אֶתְכֶם בִּזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה וּבִשְׁפָטִים גְּדֹלִים. זוְלָקַחְתִּי אֶתְכֶם לִי לְעָם וְהָיִיתִי לָכֶם לֵאלֹהִים וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם הַמּוֹצִיא אֶתְכֶם מִתַּחַת סִבְלוֹת מִצְרָיִם. חוְהֵבֵאתִי אֶתְכֶם אֶל הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָשָׂאתִי אֶת יָדִי לָתֵת אֹתָהּ לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקֹב וְנָתַתִּי אֹתָהּ לָכֶם מוֹרָשָׁה אֲנִי יהוה . טוַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה כֵּן אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלֹא שָׁמְעוּ אֶל מֹשֶׁה מִקֹּצֶר רוּחַ וּמֵעֲבֹדָה קָשָׁה.
יוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. יאבֹּא דַבֵּר אֶל פַּרְעֹה מֶלֶךְ מִצְרָיִם וִישַׁלַּח אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאַרְצוֹ. יבוַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה לִפְנֵי יהוה לֵאמֹר הֵן בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא שָׁמְעוּ אֵלַי וְאֵיךְ יִשְׁמָעֵנִי פַרְעֹה וַאֲנִי עֲרַל שְׂפָתָיִם.
יגוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה וְאֶל אַהֲרֹן וַיְצַוֵּם אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶל פַּרְעֹה מֶלֶךְ מִצְרָיִם לְהוֹצִיא אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם.
ידאֵלֶּה רָאשֵׁי בֵית אֲבֹתָם בְּנֵי רְאוּבֵן בְּכֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל חֲנוֹךְ וּפַלּוּא חֶצְרֹן וְכַרְמִי אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת רְאוּבֵן. טווּבְנֵי שִׁמְעוֹן יְמוּאֵל וְיָמִין וְאֹהַד וְיָכִין וְצֹחַר וְשָׁאוּל בֶּן הַכְּנַעֲנִית אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת שִׁמְעוֹן. טזוְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵי לֵוִי לְתֹלְדֹתָם גֵּרְשׁוֹן וּקְהָת וּמְרָרִי וּשְׁנֵי חַיֵּי לֵוִי שֶׁבַע וּשְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה. יזבְּנֵי גֵרְשׁוֹן לִבְנִי וְשִׁמְעִי לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם. יחוּבְנֵי קְהָת עַמְרָם וְיִצְהָר וְחֶבְרוֹן וְעֻזִּיאֵל וּשְׁנֵי חַיֵּי קְהָת שָׁלֹשׁ וּשְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה. יטוּבְנֵי מְרָרִי מַחְלִי וּמוּשִׁי אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת הַלֵּוִי לְתֹלְדֹתָם. כוַיִּקַּח עַמְרָם אֶת יוֹכֶבֶד דֹּדָתוֹ לוֹ לְאִשָּׁה וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ אֶת אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת מֹשֶׁה וּשְׁנֵי חַיֵּי עַמְרָם שֶׁבַע וּשְׁלֹשִׁים וּמְאַת שָׁנָה. כאוּבְנֵי יִצְהָר קֹרַח וָנֶפֶג וְזִכְרִי. כבוּבְנֵי עֻזִּיאֵל מִישָׁאֵל וְאֶלְצָפָן וְסִתְרִי. כגוַיִּקַּח אַהֲרֹן אֶת אֱלִישֶׁבַע בַּת עַמִּינָדָב אֲחוֹת נַחְשׁוֹן לוֹ לְאִשָּׁה וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ אֶת נָדָב וְאֶת אֲבִיהוּא אֶת אֶלְעָזָר וְאֶת אִיתָמָר. כדוּבְנֵי קֹרַח אַסִּיר וְאֶלְקָנָה וַאֲבִיאָסָף אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת הַקָּרְחִי. כהוְאֶלְעָזָר בֶּן אַהֲרֹן לָקַח לוֹ מִבְּנוֹת פּוּטִיאֵל לוֹ לְאִשָּׁה וַתֵּלֶד לוֹ אֶת פִּינְחָס אֵלֶּה רָאשֵׁי אֲבוֹת הַלְוִיִּם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם. כוהוּא אַהֲרֹן וּמֹשֶׁה אֲשֶׁר אָמַר יהוה לָהֶם הוֹצִיאוּ אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם עַל צִבְאֹתָם. כזהֵם הַמְדַבְּרִים אֶל פַּרְעֹה מֶלֶךְ מִצְרַיִם לְהוֹצִיא אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִמִּצְרָיִם הוּא מֹשֶׁה וְאַהֲרֹן.
כחוַיְהִי בְּיוֹם דִּבֶּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם. כטוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר אֲנִי יהוה דַּבֵּר אֶל פַּרְעֹה מֶלֶךְ מִצְרַיִם אֵת כָּל אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי דֹּבֵר אֵלֶיךָ. לוַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה לִפְנֵי יהוה הֵן אֲנִי עֲרַל שְׂפָתַיִם וְאֵיךְ יִשְׁמַע אֵלַי פַּרְעֹה.
