1And יהוה spoke unto Moshe, saying, 2“Speak unto Aharon, and unto his sons, and unto all B’nei Yisra’el, and say unto them, ‘This is the thing which יהוה has commanded, saying,’ 3‘If there is any man from among Beit Yisra’el, that kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or that kills it without the camp, 4and has not brought it unto the door of the Ohel Mo’ed, to present it as an offering unto יהוה before the Mishkan of יהוה , blood shall be imputed unto that man; he has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people. 5To the end that B’nei Yisra’el may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, even that they may bring them unto יהוה , unto the door of the Ohel Mo’ed, unto the Kohen, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of Sh’lamim unto יהוה . And6 the Kohen shall dash the blood against the Mizbe’akh of יהוה at the door of the Ohel Mo’ed, and make the fat smoke for a sweet savor unto יהוה . And7 they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto the Se’irim, after whom they go astray. This shall be a statute forever unto them throughout their generations.” 8And you shall say unto them, ‘whatever man there is of Beit Yisra’el, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that offers an Olah or sacrifice, 9and brings it not unto the door of the Ohel Mo’ed to sacrifice it unto יהוה , even that man shall be cut off from his people. 10And whatever man there is of Beit Yisra’el, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that eats any manner of blood, I will set My face against that soul that eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the Mizbe’akh to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life. 12Therefore I said unto B’nei Yisra’el: ‘No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourns among you eat blood’. 13And whatever man there is of B’nei Yisra’el, or of the strangers that sojourn among them, that takes in hunting any beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust. 14For as to the life of all flesh, the blood thereof is all one with the life thereof; therefore I said unto B’nei Yisra’el, ‘You shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh; for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’ 15And every soul that eats that which dies of itself, or that which is torn of beasts, whether he is home-born or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening; then shall he be clean. 16But if he washes them not, nor bathes his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.”
אוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. בדַּבֵּר אֶל אַהֲרֹן וְאֶל בָּנָיו וְאֶל כָּל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵיהֶם זֶה הַדָּבָר אֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה לֵאמֹר, גאִישׁ אִישׁ מִבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁחַט שׁוֹר אוֹ כֶשֶׂב אוֹ עֵז בַּמַּחֲנֶה אוֹ אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁחַט מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה. דוְאֶל פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לֹא הֱבִיאוֹ לְהַקְרִיב קָרְבָּן לַיהוה לִפְנֵי מִשְׁכַּן יהוה דָּם יֵחָשֵׁב לָאִישׁ הַהוּא דָּם שָׁפָךְ וְנִכְרַת הָאִישׁ הַהוּא מִקֶּרֶב עַמּוֹ. הלְמַעַן אֲשֶׁר יָבִיאוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת זִבְחֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר הֵם זֹבְחִים עַל פְּנֵי הַשָּׂדֶה וֶהֱבִיאֻם לַיהוה אֶל פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד אֶל הַכֹּהֵן וְזָבְחוּ זִבְחֵי שְׁלָמִים לַיהוה אוֹתָם. ווְזָרַק הַכֹּהֵן אֶת הַדָּם עַל מִזְבַּח יהוה פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהִקְטִיר הַחֵלֶב לְרֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַיהוה . זוְלֹא יִזְבְּחוּ עוֹד אֶת זִבְחֵיהֶם לַשְּׂעִירִם אֲשֶׁר הֵם זֹנִים אַחֲרֵיהֶם חֻקַּת עוֹלָם תִּהְיֶה זֹּאת לָהֶם לְדֹרֹתָם. חוַאֲלֵהֶם תֹּאמַר אִישׁ אִישׁ מִבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמִן הַגֵּר אֲשֶׁר יָגוּר בְּתוֹכָם אֲשֶׁר יַעֲלֶה עֹלָה אוֹ זָבַח. טוְאֶל פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לֹא יְבִיאֶנּוּ לַעֲשׂוֹת אֹתוֹ לַיהוה וְנִכְרַת הָאִישׁ הַהוּא מֵעַמָּיו. יוְאִישׁ אִישׁ מִבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמִן הַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתוֹכָם אֲשֶׁר יֹאכַל כָּל דָּם וְנָתַתִּי פָנַי בַּנֶּפֶשׁ הָאֹכֶלֶת אֶת הַדָּם וְהִכְרַתִּי אֹתָהּ מִקֶּרֶב עַמָּהּ. יאכִּי נֶפֶשׁ הַבָּשָׂר בַּדָּם הִוא וַאֲנִי נְתַתִּיו לָכֶם עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לְכַפֵּר עַל נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם כִּי הַדָּם הוּא בַּנֶּפֶשׁ יְכַפֵּר. יבעַל כֵּן אָמַרְתִּי לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כָּל נֶפֶשׁ מִכֶּם לֹא תֹאכַל דָּם וְהַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתוֹכְכֶם לֹא יֹאכַל דָּם. יגוְאִישׁ אִישׁ מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּמִן הַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתוֹכָם אֲשֶׁר יָצוּד צֵיד חַיָּה אוֹ עוֹף אֲשֶׁר יֵאָכֵל וְשָׁפַךְ אֶת דָּמוֹ וְכִסָּהוּ בֶּעָפָר. ידכִּי נֶפֶשׁ כָּל בָּשָׂר דָּמוֹ בְנַפְשׁוֹ הוּא וָאֹמַר לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל דַּם כָּל בָּשָׂר לֹא תֹאכֵלוּ כִּי נֶפֶשׁ כָּל בָּשָׂר דָּמוֹ הִוא כָּל אֹכְלָיו יִכָּרֵת. טווְכָל נֶפֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר תֹּאכַל נְבֵלָה וּטְרֵפָה בָּאֶזְרָח וּבַגֵּר וְכִבֶּס בְּגָדָיו וְרָחַץ בַּמַּיִם וְטָמֵא עַד הָעֶרֶב וְטָהֵר. טזוְאִם לֹא יְכַבֵּס וּבְשָׂרוֹ לֹא יִרְחָץ וְנָשָׂא עֲוֹנוֹ.
