VaYikra 24 – ויקרא כד

¹And  יהוה  spoke unto Moshe, saying, ²‘Command B’nei Yisra’el, that they bring unto you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause to burn the Ner Tamid. ³Without the Parokhet HaEdut, in the Ohel Mo’ed, shall Aharon order it from evening to morning before  יהוה  continually; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. ⁴He shall order the lamps upon the pure Menorah before  יהוה  continually’.”

⁵“‘And you shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof: two tenth parts of an efah shall be in one cake. ⁶And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before  יהוה . And⁷ you shall put pure frankincense with each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial-part, even a karban of fire unto יהוה . Every⁸ Yom Shabbat he shall set it in order before יהוה continually; it is from B’nei Yisra’el, an everlasting Brit. ⁹And it shall be for Aharon and his sons; and they shall eat it in a makom kodesh; for it is kodesh kadashim unto him of the offerings of  יהוה  made by fire, a perpetual due’.” 

¹⁰And the son of a Yisra’elit woman, whose father was a Mitzri, went out among B’nei Yisra’el; and the son of the Yisra’elit woman and a man of Yisra’el strove together in the camp. ¹¹And the son of the Yisra’elit woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him unto Moshe. And his mother’s name was Shelomit, the daughter of Divri, of the tribe of Dan. ¹²And they put him in ward, that it might be declared unto them at the mouth of  יהוה .

¹³And  יהוה  spoke unto Moshe, saying, ¹⁴“Bring forth him that has cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the assembly stone him. ¹⁵And you shall speak unto B’nei Yisra’el, saying, ‘Whoever curses his Elohim shall bear his sin. ¹⁶And he that blasphemes the Name of  יהוה , he shall surely be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; the stranger, as well as the home-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death. ¹⁷And he that smites any man mortally shall surely be put to death. ¹⁸And he that smites a beast mortally shall make it good: life for life. ¹⁹And if a man maims his neighbor, as he has done, so shall it be done to him: ²⁰breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he has maimed a man, so shall it be rendered unto him. ²¹And he that kills a beast shall make it good; and he that kills a man shall be put to death. ²²You shall have one manner of judgment, for the foreigner, as well as for the home-born; for I am  יהוה  your Elohim’.” ²³And Moshe spoke to B’nei Yisra’el, and they brought forth him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. And B’nei Yisra’el did as  יהוה  commanded Moshe.

^אוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. ^בצַו אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְיִקְחוּ אֵלֶיךָ שֶׁמֶן זַיִת זָךְ כָּתִית לַמָּאוֹר לְהַעֲלֹת נֵר תָּמִיד. ^גמִחוּץ לְפָרֹכֶת הָעֵדֻת בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד יַעֲרֹךְ אֹתוֹ אַהֲרֹן מֵעֶרֶב עַד בֹּקֶר לִפְנֵי יהוה תָּמִיד חֻקַּת עוֹלָם לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם. ^דעַל הַמְּנֹרָה הַטְּהֹרָה יַעֲרֹךְ אֶת הַנֵּרוֹת לִפְנֵי יהוה תָּמִיד.

^הוְלָקַחְתָּ סֹלֶת וְאָפִיתָ אֹתָהּ שְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵה חַלּוֹת שְׁנֵי עֶשְׂרֹנִים יִהְיֶה הַחַלָּה הָאֶחָת. ^ווְשַׂמְתָּ אוֹתָם שְׁתַּיִם מַעֲרָכוֹת שֵׁשׁ הַמַּעֲרָכֶת עַל הַשֻּׁלְחָן הַטָּהֹר לִפְנֵי יהוה . ^זוְנָתַתָּ עַל הַמַּעֲרֶכֶת לְבֹנָה זַכָּה וְהָיְתָה לַלֶּחֶם לְאַזְכָּרָה אִשֶּׁה לַיהוה . ^חבְּיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת בְּיוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת יַעַרְכֶנּוּ לִפְנֵי יהוה תָּמִיד מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּרִית עוֹלָם. ^טוְהָיְתָה לְאַהֲרֹן וּלְבָנָיו וַאֲכָלֻהוּ בְּמָקוֹם קָדֹשׁ כִּי קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים הוּא לוֹ מֵאִשֵּׁי יהוה חָק עוֹלָם.

^יוַיֵּצֵא בֶּן אִשָּׁה יִשְׂרְאֵלִית וְהוּא בֶּן אִישׁ מִצְרִי בְּתוֹךְ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּנָּצוּ בַּמַּחֲנֶה בֶּן הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִית וְאִישׁ הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִי. ^יאוַיִּקֹּב בֶּן הָאִשָּׁה הַיִּשְׂרְאֵלִית אֶת הַשֵּׁם וַיְקַלֵּל וַיָּבִיאוּ אֹתוֹ אֶל מֹשֶׁה וְשֵׁם אִמּוֹ שְׁלֹמִית בַּת דִּבְרִי לְמַטֵּה דָן. ^יבוַיַּנִּיחֻהוּ בַּמִּשְׁמָר לִפְרֹשׁ לָהֶם עַל פִּי יהוה . 

^יגוַיְדַבֵּר יהוה אֶל מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר. ^ידהוֹצֵא אֶת הַמְקַלֵּל אֶל מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה וְסָמְכוּ כָל הַשֹּׁמְעִים אֶת יְדֵיהֶם עַל רֹאשׁוֹ וְרָגְמוּ אֹתוֹ כָּל הָעֵדָה. ^טווְאֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תְּדַבֵּר לֵאמֹר אִישׁ אִישׁ כִּי יְקַלֵּל אֱלֹהָיו וְנָשָׂא חֶטְאוֹ. ^טזוְנֹקֵב שֵׁם יהוה מוֹת יוּמָת רָגוֹם יִרְגְּמוּ בוֹ כָּל הָעֵדָה כַּגֵּר כָּאֶזְרָח בְּנָקְבוֹ שֵׁם יוּמָת. ^יזוְאִישׁ כִּי יַכֶּה כָּל נֶפֶשׁ אָדָם מוֹת יוּמָת.  ^יחוּמַכֵּה נֶפֶשׁ בְּהֵמָה יְשַׁלְּמֶנָּה נֶפֶשׁ תַּחַת נָפֶשׁ. ^יטוְאִישׁ כִּי יִתֵּן מוּם בַּעֲמִיתוֹ כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה כֵּן יֵעָשֶׂה לּוֹ. ^כשֶׁבֶר תַּחַת שֶׁבֶר עַיִן תַּחַת עַיִן שֵׁן תַּחַת שֵׁן כַּאֲשֶׁר יִתֵּן מוּם בָּאָדָם כֵּן יִנָּתֶן  בּוֹ. ^כאוּמַכֵּה בְהֵמָה יְשַׁלְּמֶנָּה וּמַכֵּה אָדָם יוּמָת. ^כבמִשְׁפַּט אֶחָד יִהְיֶה לָכֶם כַּגֵּר כָּאֶזְרָח יִהְיֶה כִּי אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם. ^כגוַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיּוֹצִיאוּ אֶת הַמְקַלֵּל אֶל מִחוּץ לַמַּחֲנֶה וַיִּרְגְּמוּ אֹתוֹ אָבֶן וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עָשׂוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יהוה אֶת מֹשֶׁה.
