23Whoever denies The Son, the same does not believe in The Father; but whoever acknowledges The Son acknowledges The Father also. ~1 Jo 2:23

Yeshua is the Son of God. He made that clear:
16For God [Elohim] so loved the world that He gave His One Beloved Son [Ben Yakhid], so that whoever firmly trusts in Him should not perish, but have Eternal Life [Khayei Olam]. ~ John 3
18He who firmly trusts in Him will not be condemned; and he who does not firmly trust has already been condemned for not trusting in the Name of The One and Beloved Son. ~ John 3
34For He whom God has sent speaks The Words of God; for God did not give The Spirit by measure. 35The Father loves The Son, and has placed everything under His hand. 36He who believes in The Son has Eternal Life; and he who does not obey The Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God shall remain on him.” ~ John 3
18And for this the Jews wanted the more to kill Him, not only because He loosened the Shabbat, but also because He said concerning God that He was His Father, and He was making Himself equal with God. 19Yeshua answered, saying to them, “Amein, Amein, I say to you that The Son can do nothing of His own accord, except what He sees The Father doing; for the things which The Father does, the same The Son does also. 20For The Father loves His Son, and He shows Him everything that He does; and He will show Him greater works than these, so that you may marvel. 21For just as The Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so The Son gives life to those whom He will. 22For The Father does not judge any man, but He has entrusted all judgment to The Son; 23so that every man should honor The Son, just as He honors The Father. He who does not honor The Son does not honor The Father who sent Him. …25Amein, Amein, I say to you, the time is coming, and it is now already here, when the dead will hear the voice of The Son of God; and those who hear it will live. ~John 5
40For this is the will of My Father, that whoever sees The Son and trusts in Him shall have Eternal Life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” ~ John 6
36why to the one whom The Father consecrated and sent to the world, do you say, ‘You blaspheme,’ just because I said to you, ‘I am The Son of God.’ ~ John 10
4Yeshua said, “This is not a sickness of death, but for the sake of the glory of Elohim, that The Son of God may be glorified on his account.” …27She said to him, “Yes, My Adon; I do believe that you are the Messiah, The Son of God, who is to come to the world.” ~ John 11
26O yes, My Father, for such was your will.’ 27Everything has been delivered to me by My Father, and no man knows The Son except The Father, nor does any man know The Father but The Son, and he to whomever The Son wishes to reveal Him.” ~ Matthew 11, see also Luke 10:22
Above are eight places where Yeshua calls Himself the Son of God in some way. Yet there are people who would say that He is not the Son of God, and yet try to confess Him as Messiah. Several of the passages of scripture connect being the Messiah to being the Son of God. So, why is it that Joseph is also called Yeshua’s father?
Because Joseph adopted Him.
There were several instances of adoption in Torah. Avraham was looking for an heir, and intimated to God that perhaps He should ‘adopt’, or make his servant, ‘one born in my house’, his heir. That would have been adoption. Jacob actually does adopt two children, Ephraim and Menasseh, and they become heirs with the rest of Israel, inheriting land. So, Joseph adopted Yeshua, and He became Joseph’s heir apparent. This meant that He held ‘legal title’ to everything that was materially Joseph’s, including lineage in David’s royal line, ‘legally‘. His heritage ‘naturally’ or biologically was through Miryam. She also was of the royal and natural line of David. So, the notion that Yeshua had to be the biological son of Joseph in order to ‘inherit’ the royal line of David is very weak, human logic.
But, regardless of what one thinks about that, one must overlook the eight verses above to attest that Yeshua is only the son of Joseph, and not the Son of God, biologically. They do so, because they reject the idea of a virgin birth, simply because the Catholic Church has turned Mary into a deity. Baby and bathwater treatment. The gospels make it very clear who the biological father of Yeshua is:
In Luke chapter 1, it is declared that Miryam is a virgin:
26Now in the sixth month the Malakh Gavri-El was sent from Elohim to the Galil, to a city called Natzrat, 27to a virgin who was betrothed to a man named Yosef, of Beit David; and the name of the virgin was Miryam.
A messenger speaks to Miryam, and tells her that the Ru’akh, the Breath/power of God would come upon her and cause her to conceive:
“Fear not, Miryam; for you have found grace with Elohim. 31For behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His Name יֵשׂוּעַ [Yeshua]. 32He will be great, and He will be called Ben Elyon [The Son of the Most High God]; and יהוה Elohim will give Him the throne of His father David. 33And He will rule over the house of Ya’akov forever; and there will be no limit to His Malkhut.” 34Then Miryam said to the Malakh, “How can this be, for no man has known me.” 35The Malakh answered and said to her, “The Ru’akh HaKodesh will come, and the power of the Highest will rest upon you; therefore the One who is to be born of you is Kadosh, and He will be called The Son of God [Ben HaElohim].
There are those who assert that the word there is not ‘virgin’ even though in the greek and latin it clearly is. But the debate takes the contestants back to the prediction of Messiah being born of a virgin, and it is there where the linguistic argument is anchored:
14“Therefore Adonai Himself shall give you a sign: behold, the virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call his name ‘Imanu El’.” ~ Isaiah 7
The word there for virgin is הָעַלְמָה, ha’almah, where ‘almah’ is virgin. There are those who argue that this word does not mean virgin. It does, but, like many Hebrew words, context can change the absolute meaning to something different from the root. But, scripture has to interpret scripture. The first use of this word is concerning Rivkah.
43behold, I stand by the fountain of water; and let it come to pass, that the maiden / הָעַלְמָה that comes forth to draw, to whom I shall say, ‘Give me, I pray, a little water from your pitcher to drink;’ ….45And before I had done speaking to my heart, behold, Rivkah came forth… ~ Genesis 24
In this context, ‘maiden’ is most definitely ‘virgin’. Anyone who would say it does not would impune Rivkah of harlotry.
The same would be true of Miryam in the next use of the word:
8And Paroh’s daughter said to her, “Go.” And the maiden / הָעַלְמָה went and called the child’s mother. ~Exodus 2
It is clear by context that both of these females are virgins; ie, maiden IS a virgin.
But, that is not all that makes us certain that Miryam, Yeshua’s mother, was pure, a virgin. To assert that “HaAlmah” does not mean virgin, but only ‘young lady’, takes away from the “SIGN” that the prophecy is: ‘young ladies’ give birth to sons all day every day. But, only once in history has a VIRGIN given birth, and we have the testimony of multiple witnesses that she was a VIRGIN.
In the verse in Luke 1 above, verse 27, we see בְּתוּלָה / b’tula, which is a Hebrew word that specifically means, not maiden, but ‘a woman who has never given birth’. Yes, this is from a Hebrew translation, but that translation is not done from greek, but from Aramaic, where the word ܒܬܘܠܬܐ/ “b’tuwltah” in Aramaic is the very same as בְּתוּלָה / b’tula in Hebrew : a woman who has not given birth.” We, of course, believe in the primacy of Hebrew and Aramaic over the Greek, but even so, the Greek translation from Aramaic, if one believes that, testifies the same thing: παρθενον / parthenos, ‘virgin/marriageable maiden, a woman who has never known a man.’
Given that Luke wrote: 34Then Miryam said to the Malakh, “How can this be, for no man has known me.”, then we have firmly established that Miryam was indeed a pure young woman, a virgin, and not merely a young maiden. In ancient days, a young ‘maiden’ WAS a virgin: period. They were not sexually active at all, or they were not marriageable. Miryam was not yet married, but only betrothed, which was a year long timeframe, where the groom secured the relationship by covenanting with her father to go and build her a house. It was during this time that Yosef was betrothed to her, and when she became pregnant by the power of the Ru’akh HaKodesh, conceiving a child by the Power of God the Creator, THE FATHER.
The emmisaries of God, the messengers that spoke to both Miryam and Yosef, testify that GOD would be this baby’s Father:
“Fear not, Miryam; for you have found grace with Elohim. 31For behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His Name יֵשׂוּעַ [Yeshua]. 32He will be great, and He will be called Ben Elyon [The Son of the Most High God]; and יהוה Elohim will give Him the throne of His father David. …35The Malakh answered and said to her, “The Ru’akh HaKodesh will come, and the power of the Highest will rest upon you; therefore the One who is to be born of you is Kadosh, and He will be called The Son of God [Ben HaElohim].
18The birth of Yeshua HaMashi’akh was in this manner: While Miryam His mother was acquired for a price for Yosef, [betrothed] before they came together, she was found with child of The Ru’akh HaKodesh. 19But Yosef her husband was a pious man, and did not wish to make it public; so he was thinking of divorcing her secretly. 20While he was considering this, a Malakh of יהוה appeared to him in a dream, and said to him, “O Yosef, Ben David, do not be afraid to take your wife Miryam, because he that is to be born of her is of The Ru’akh HaKodesh. 21She will give birth to a son, and you will call His Name יֵשׂוּעַ [Yeshua]; for He shall save His people from their sins.” 22All this happened so that what was spoken from יהוה by the Navi might be fulfilled, 23“Behold, a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they shall call His Name Immanu El,” which is interpreted, ‘God is with us.’ 24When Yosef rose up from his sleep, he did just as the messenger of יהוה commanded him, and he took his wife. 22And he did not know her until she gave birth to her first-born son; and she called His Name Yeshua.
Yosef became the adoptive, earthly father of Yeshua. Yeshua the man therefore has both legal and natural/genetic rights to the throne of David, not only because He is the son of David by Miryam, and the son of Yosef by adoption and also thus a son of David legally, but because God is His Father, and God gave the throne to David!
But, if that is not enough to convince the waffler that Yeshua is God’s Son, then will we listen to God HIMSELF?
We have multiple scriptural witnesses that God Himself said in earshot of earth that Yeshua, the man who had just been immersed by Yokhanan HaMatbil, was His Son, and also at His transfiguration on that mountain:
“This is my Ben HaAhuv, with whom I am pleased.” ~ Matai 3, at His immersion
11And a voice came from Heaven, “You are my Ben HaAhuv, I am pleased with you.” ~ Mark 1, at His immersion
7And there was a cloud overshadowing them, and a voice out of the cloud said, “This is my Ben HaAhuv; hear Him.” ~ Mark 9 at His transfiguration
22and The Ru’akh HaKodesh descended on Him, in the form of a dove, and a voice from Heaven, saying, “You are my Ben HaAhuv; with you I am pleased.” ~ Luke 1, at His immersion
35And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Ben HaAhuv; hear Him.” ~ Luke 1, at His transfiguration
So, GOD HIMSELF spoke from Heaven, where humans could hear it, and said, THIS IS MY SON.
If we believe that God wrote the scriptures, then we also have to believe that the scriptures predicted that the Messiah would be His Son. They do:
2The kings of the earth revolt, and the rulers take counsel together, against יהוה , and against His Mashi’akh!…10Now therefore, O you kings, be wise; be admonished, you judges of the earth. 11Serve יהוה with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him.” THE SON, יהוה ! ~ Psalm 2
Yes, that is ‘nashku var’, and Jewish translations take liberty with it and say something like ’embrace purity’. But, The SON is the one who gets angry! The SON is the one who is the vessel of God’s wrath! The Messiah, the Son!
But, the Mishlim also predict The Son:
4Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name, and what is His Son’s name, for you will know it. ~ Proverbs 30
Yeshua is The Word of God in flesh, and is thus the very POWER of Creation. To say that He was not there when those things happened, no matter how you try to pin those actions on Moshe or someone else, is to deny the Son! One day, EVERY TONGUE will confess Yeshua as יהוה in the flesh!
That is how Marta and the Kohen Gadol knew that Messiah would be The Son of God!
“Then The Kohen HaGadol [High Priest] answered and said to Him, “I adjure you by the living Elohim to tell us if you are the Messiah, The Son of God?”” ~ Luke 17
“Again The Kohen HaGadol asked Him, saying, “Are you the Messiah, The Blessed Son / [Ben HaMevorakh] ?” 62Yeshua said to him, “I am; and you will see Ben HaAdam sitting at the right hand of power and coming upon the clouds of the sky.”” ~ Mark 14
27“She said to him, “Yes, My Adon; I do believe that you are the Messiah, The Son of God, who is to come to the world.”” ~ John 11
So, the Jewish people of the first century understood already that the coming Messiah would be the Son of God. The Jewish people since that time have had to retract that belief, because they did not accept Yeshua as His Son. They have since consorted together to find ways to dismiss this truth, just as Psalm 2 said they would. They executed Him with Rome.
Further, the devils knew that Yeshua was the very Son of God! Because the Devil knows the Word of God better than most humans. Thus, the scriptures predicted that the Messiah would be the Son of God, so Satan knew that! And even SATAN declares that Yeshua is HIS SON:
2So He fasted forty days and forty nights; but at last He was hungry. 3And the tempter drew near and said to Him, “If you are The Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4But He answered and said, “It is written, that it is not by bread alone that man can live, but by every word which comes from the mouth of God.” 5Then HaSatan took Him to the consecrated city, and he made Him to stand up on the corner of the Heikhal. 6And he said to Him, “If you are The Son of God, throw yourself down; for it is written, “He will command His Malakhim concerning You, and they will bear You up on their hands, so that even Your foot may not strike a stone.” 7Yeshua said to him, “Again it is written that you shall not test יהוה your Elohim.” ~ Matthew 4
29And they [demons] cried aloud saying, “What business have we together, Yeshua, O Son of God?” Have You come here to torment us before the time?” ~ Matthew 8
11And those who were afflicted with unclean spirits, when they saw Him, fell down before Him and cried, saying, “You are indeed The Son of God.” ~ Mark 3
6When he saw Yeshua from afar, he ran and worshipped Him, 7and he cried with a loud voice, saying, “What have I to do with You, Yeshua, Son of the Most High [God]? I adjure you by Elohim not to torment me.” ~ Mark 5
41Demons also came out of many, who cried out saying, “You are the Messiah, The Son of God.” ~ Luke 4
28When he saw Yeshua, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, “What have we in common, Yeshua, Son of the Most High [God]? I beg you not to torment me.”
So, not only did our Jewish people know that the Messiah would be the Son of God, but so did the devils.
Why, then, did they not ‘see’ Yeshua as the Messiah, the Son of God? Many today see Him as Messiah, but NOT the Son of God. Some see Him as the Messiah and God Himself, but not as HIS SON. It is critical to confess that He is the Messiah, the Son of God, bearing the Name יהוה . This is rare today. Why?
That is because it takes the power of the Ru’akh/Breath of God to REVEAL by Yeshua’s WILL that The Son is equal to God,! That is why the Talmidim all made their great confessions of His being both Messiah AND Son!
16Shimon Kefa answered and said, “You are the Messiah, The Son of the Living God.” ~ Matthew 16
29Yeshua said to them, “But you, who do you say I am?” Shimon Kefa answered, saying to Him, “You are the Messiah, The Son of the Living God.” ~ Mark 8
69And we have believed and known that you are the Messiah, The Son of the Living God.” ~ John 6:69
39And when the centurion, who stood near Him, saw that He cried out in this manner and died, he said, “Truly this man was The Son of God.”
And this is how Yeshua was preached to both Jews and Gentiles:
37And Filipos said, “If you trust with all your heart, you may.” And he answered, saying, “I trust that Yeshua HaMashi’akh is The Son of God.” ~ Acts 8
20From that time on, he declared in the Synagogues of the Jews concerning Yeshua, that he is The Son of God. ~ Acts 9
30But Elohim raised Him from the dead; 31and for many days he was seen by them who had come up with him from the Galil to Yerushalayim, and they are now His witnesses to the people. 32And behold, we also declare to you that that very promise which was made to our fathers, 33behold, Elohim has fulfilled it to us their children, for He has raised up Yeshua, just as it is written in the second Tehillah, ‘You are My Son; this day I have fathered you.’ ~ Acts 13
And in so doing above, Sha’ul refers BACK to the scriptures predicting that Messiah would be GOD’s SON!
7I will tell of the decree: יהוה said unto me, “You are My son, this day have I begotten you. ~ Psalm 2
That psalm tells of the great ‘war’ that is going on in the world, that has been going on since the very beginning, and that is the denial of Salvation by God through His Son, a man, “The Son of Man”, who would be Messiah, the Savior of the world. To understand that is given by Messiah, as revelation, to those who would admit their sins, and their need of His Righteousness. To deny Yeshua, reducing Him to mere man, or denying His humanity altogether by calling Him “GOD”, is a huge misunderstanding of the truth of Scripture.
There are many, many people out their preaching other ‘gospels’, as was already being done in the first century. Be careful.
6I am surprised how soon you have turned to another “good news,” away from Mashi’akh, who has called you by His compassion, 7a good news which does not even exist; howbeit, there are men who have stirred you up and want to pervert The Good News of Mashi’akh. 8But though we or a messenger from heaven declare any other b’sorah [good news/gosepl] to you than that which we have declared to you, let him be accursed. 9As I have said before, so say I now again, if any man declares any other b’sorah to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
23Whoever denies The Son, the same does not believe in The Father; but whoever acknowledges The Son acknowledges The Father also. ~1 Jo 2:23
Yeshua is The Messiah, the Son of the Living God, יהוה , the very Word of יהוה , in a human body, who now stands at the right hand of the Father. Any other understanding is doomed.
