¹Adam, Shet, Enosh; ²Kenan, Mahalelel, Yared; ³Khanokh, Metushelakh, Lamekh; ⁴No’akh, Shem, Kham, and Yafet.  ⁵The sons of Yafet: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Yavan, and Tuval, and Meshekh, and Tiras.  ⁶And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Difat, and Togarmah.  ⁷And the sons of Yavan: Elishah, and Tarshishah, Kitim, and Rodanim.  ⁸The sons of Kham: Kush, and Mitzrayim, Put, and Kena’an. ⁹And the sons of Kush: Sevah, and Khavilah, and Savta, and Ra’ama, and Savtekha. And the sons of Ra’ama: Sheva, and Dedan.  ¹⁰And Kush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.  ¹¹And Mitzrayim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehavim, and Naftukhim, ¹²and Patrusim, and Kaslukhim–from whom came the P’lishtim and Kaftorim.  ¹³And Kena’an begot Tzidon his first-born, and Khet; ¹⁴and the Yevusi, and the Amori, and the Girgashi; ¹⁵and the Khivi, and the Arki, and the Sini; ¹⁶and the Arvadi, and the Tzemari, and the Khamati.  ¹⁷The Sons of Shem: Elam, and Ashur, and Arfakhshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Utz, and Khul, and Geter, and Meshekh.  ¹⁸And Arfakhshad begot Shelakh, and Shelakh begot Ever. ¹⁹And unto Ever were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Yaktan. ²⁰And Yaktan begot Almodad, and Shalef, and Hazarmavet, and Yarakh; ²¹and Kadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah; ²²and Eval, and Avima’el, and Sheva; ²³and Ofir, and Khavilah, and Yovav. All these were the sons of Yaktan.  ²⁴Shem, Arfakhshad, Shelakh; ²⁵Ever, Peleg, Re’u; ²⁶Serug, Nakhor, Tarakh; ²⁷Avram, the same is Avraham.  ²⁸The sons of Avraham: Yitz’khak, and Yishma’el.  ²⁹These are their generations: the first-born of Yishma’el, Nevayot; then Kedar, and Adbe’el, and Mivsam, ³⁰Mishma, and Dumah, Masa, Hadad, and Tema, ³¹Yetur, Nafish, and Kedem. These are the sons of Yishma’el.  ³²And the sons of Keturah, Avraham’s concubine: she bore Zimran, and Yakshan, and Medan, and Midyan, and Ishbak, and Shu’ah. And the sons of Yakshan: Sheva, and Dedan.  ³³And the sons of Midyan: Efah, and Efer, and Khanokh, and Avida, and Elda’ah. All these were the sons of Keturah.  ³⁴And Avraham begot Yitz’khak. The sons of Yitz’khak: Esav, and Yisra’el.  ³⁵The sons of Esav: Elifaz, Re’u’el, and Ye’ush, and Yalam and Korakh.  ³⁶The sons of Elifaz: Teman, and Omar, Tzefi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.  ³⁷The sons of Re’u’el: Nakhat, Zerakh,  Shamah, and Mizah.  ³⁸And the sons of Se’ir: Lotan, and Shoval, and Tzivon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Etzer, and Dishan.  ³⁹And the sons of Lotan: Khori, and Homam; and Timna was Lotan’s sister.  ⁴⁰The sons of Shoval: Alyon, and Manakhat, and Eval, Shefi, and Onam. And the sons of Tzivon: Ayah, and Anah.  ⁴¹The sons of Anah: Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Khamran, and Eshban, and Itran, and Kheran. ⁴²The sons of Etzer: Bilhan, and Za’avan, Ya’akan. The sons of Dishan: Utz, and Aran.

⁴³Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over B’nei Yisra’el: Bela Ben Be’or; and the name of his city was Dinhavah. ⁴⁴And Bela died, and Yovav Ben Zerakh of Botzrah reigned in his stead. ⁴⁵And Yovav died, and Khusham of the land of the Temani reigned in his stead. ⁴⁶And Khusham died, and Hadad Ben Bedad, who smote Midyan in the field of Mo’av, reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Avit. ⁴⁷And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead. ⁴⁸And Samlah died, and Sha’ul of Rekhovot by the River reigned in his stead. ⁴⁹And Sha’ul died, and Ba’al Khanan Ben Akhbor reigned in his stead. ⁵⁰And Ba’al Khanan died, and Hadad reigned in his stead; and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife’s name was Mehetavel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahav. ⁵¹And Hadad died. 

 And the chiefs of Edom were: the chief of Timna, the chief of Alvah, the chief of Yetet; ⁵²the chief of Oholivamah, the chief of Elah, the chief of Pinon; ⁵³the chief of Kenaz, the chief of Teman, the chief of Miv’tzar; ⁵⁴the chief of Magdi’el, the chief of Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.

^אאָדָם שֵׁת אֱנוֹשׁ. ^בקֵינָן מַהֲלַלְאֵל יָרֶד. ^גחֲנוֹךְ מְתוּשֶׁלַח לָמֶךְ. ^דנֹחַ שֵׁם חָם וָיָפֶת. ^הבְּנֵי יֶפֶת גֹּמֶר וּמָגוֹג וּמָדַי וְיָוָן וְתֻבָל; וּמֶשֶׁךְ וְתִירָס. ^ווּבְנֵי גֹּמֶר אַשְׁכְּנַז וְדִיפַת וְתוֹגַרְמָה. ^זוּבְנֵי יָוָן אֱלִישָׁה וְתַרְשִׁישָׁה כִּתִּים וְרוֹדָנִים. ^חבְּנֵי חָם כּוּשׁ וּמִצְרַיִם פּוּט וּכְנָעַן. ^טוּבְנֵי כוּשׁ סְבָא וַחֲוִילָה וְסַבְתָּא וְרַעְמָא וְסַבְתְּכָא; וּבְנֵי רַעְמָא שְׁבָא וּדְדָן. ^יוְכוּשׁ יָלַד אֶת נִמְרוֹד; הוּא הֵחֵל לִהְיוֹת גִּבּוֹר בָּאָרֶץ. ^יאוּמִצְרַיִם יָלַד אֶת לודיים (לוּדִים) וְאֶת עֲנָמִים וְאֶת לְהָבִים וְאֶת נַפְתֻּחִים. ^יבוְאֶת פַּתְרֻסִים וְאֶת כַּסְלֻחִים אֲשֶׁר יָצְאוּ מִשָּׁם פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְאֶת כַּפְתֹּרִים. ^יגוּכְנַעַן יָלַד אֶת צִידוֹן בְּכֹרוֹ וְאֶת חֵת. ^ידוְאֶת הַיְבוּסִי וְאֶת הָאֱמֹרִי וְאֵת הַגִּרְגָּשִׁי. ^טווְאֶת הַחִוִּי וְאֶת הַעַרְקִי וְאֶת הַסִּינִי. ^טזוְאֶת הָאַרְוָדִי וְאֶת הַצְּמָרִי וְאֶת הַחֲמָתִי. ^יזבְּנֵי שֵׁם עֵילָם וְאַשּׁוּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד וְלוּד וַאֲרָם; וְעוּץ וְחוּל וְגֶתֶר וָמֶשֶׁךְ. ^יחוְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד יָלַד אֶת שָׁלַח; וְשֶׁלַח יָלַד אֶת עֵבֶר. ^יטוּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד שְׁנֵי בָנִים: שֵׁם הָאֶחָד פֶּלֶג כִּי בְיָמָיו נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יָקְטָן. ^כוְיָקְטָן יָלַד אֶת אַלְמוֹדָד וְאֶת שָׁלֶף וְאֶת חֲצַרְמָוֶת וְאֶת יָרַח. ^כאוְאֶת הֲדוֹרָם וְאֶת אוּזָל וְאֶת דִּקְלָה. ^כבוְאֶת עֵיבָל וְאֶת אֲבִימָאֵל וְאֶת שְׁבָא. ^כגוְאֶת אוֹפִיר וְאֶת חֲוִילָה וְאֶת יוֹבָב; כָּל אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי יָקְטָן. ^כדשֵׁם אַרְפַּכְשַׁד שָׁלַח. ^כהעֵבֶר פֶּלֶג רְעוּ. ^כושְׂרוּג נָחוֹר תָּרַח. ^כזאַבְרָם הוּא אַבְרָהָם. ^כחבְּנֵי אַבְרָהָם יִצְחָק וְיִשְׁמָעֵאל. ^כטאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹתָם: בְּכוֹר יִשְׁמָעֵאל נְבָיוֹת וְקֵדָר וְאַדְבְּאֵל וּמִבְשָׂם. ^למִשְׁמָע וְדוּמָה מַשָּׂא חֲדַד וְתֵימָא. ^לאיְטוּר נָפִישׁ וָקֵדְמָה; אֵלֶּה הֵם בְּנֵי יִשְׁמָעֵאל. ^לבוּבְנֵי קְטוּרָה פִּילֶגֶשׁ אַבְרָהָם יָלְדָה אֶת זִמְרָן וְיָקְשָׁן וּמְדָן וּמִדְיָן וְיִשְׁבָּק וְשׁוּחַ; וּבְנֵי יָקְשָׁן שְׁבָא וּדְדָן. ^לגוּבְנֵי מִדְיָן עֵיפָה וָעֵפֶר וַחֲנוֹךְ וַאֲבִידָע וְאֶלְדָּעָה; כָּל אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי קְטוּרָה. ^לדוַיּוֹלֶד אַבְרָהָם אֶת יִצְחָק; בְּנֵי יִצְחָק עֵשָׂו וְיִשְׂרָאֵל. ^להבְּנֵי עֵשָׂו אֱלִיפַז רְעוּאֵל וִיעוּשׁ וְיַעְלָם וְקֹרַח. ^לובְּנֵי אֱלִיפָז תֵּימָן וְאוֹמָר צְפִי וְגַעְתָּם קְנַז וְתִמְנָע וַעֲמָלֵק. ^לזבְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל נַחַת זֶרַח שַׁמָּה וּמִזָּה. ^לחוּבְנֵי שֵׂעִיר לוֹטָן וְשׁוֹבָל וְצִבְעוֹן וַעֲנָה וְדִישֹׁן וְאֵצֶר וְדִישָׁן. ^לטוּבְנֵי לוֹטָן חֹרִי וְהוֹמָם; וַאֲחוֹת לוֹטָן תִּמְנָע. ^מבְּנֵי שׁוֹבָל עַלְיָן וּמָנַחַת וְעֵיבָל שְׁפִי וְאוֹנָם; וּבְנֵי צִבְעוֹן אַיָּה וַעֲנָה. ^מאבְּנֵי עֲנָה דִּישׁוֹן; וּבְנֵי דִישׁוֹן חַמְרָן וְאֶשְׁבָּן וְיִתְרָן וּכְרָן. ^מבבְּנֵי אֵצֶר בִּלְהָן וְזַעֲוָן יַעֲקָן; בְּנֵי דִישׁוֹן עוּץ וַאֲרָן. 

^מגוְאֵלֶּה הַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר מָלְכוּ בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם לִפְנֵי מְלָךְ מֶלֶךְ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל: בֶּלַע בֶּן בְּעוֹר וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ דִּנְהָבָה. ^מדוַיָּמָת בָּלַע; וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו יוֹבָב בֶּן זֶרַח מִבָּצְרָה. ^מהוַיָּמָת יוֹבָב; וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו חוּשָׁם מֵאֶרֶץ הַתֵּימָנִי. ^מווַיָּמָת חוּשָׁם; וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַד בֶּן בְּדַד הַמַּכֶּה אֶת מִדְיָן בִּשְׂדֵה מוֹאָב וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ עיות (עֲוִית). ^מזוַיָּמָת הֲדָד; וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שַׂמְלָה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָה. ^מחוַיָּמָת שַׂמְלָה; וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שָׁאוּל מֵרְחֹבוֹת הַנָּהָר. ^מטוַיָּמָת שָׁאוּל; וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו בַּעַל חָנָן בֶּן עַכְבּוֹר. ^נוַיָּמָת בַּעַל חָנָן וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַד וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ פָּעִי; וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתּוֹ מְהֵיטַבְאֵל בַּת מַטְרֵד בַּת מֵי זָהָב. ^נאוַיָּמָת הֲדָד; 

וַיִּהְיוּ אַלּוּפֵי אֱדוֹם אַלּוּף תִּמְנָע אַלּוּף עליה (עַלְוָה) אַלּוּף יְתֵת. ^נבאַלּוּף אָהֳלִיבָמָה אַלּוּף אֵלָה אַלּוּף פִּינֹן. ^נגאַלּוּף קְנַז אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף מִבְצָר. ^נדאַלּוּף מַגְדִּיאֵל אַלּוּף עִירָם; אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אֱדוֹם.
