1Moreover David and the captains of the host separated for the service certain of the sons of Asaf, and of Heiman, and of Yedutun, who should prophesy with kinorot, with nevalim, and with cymbals; and the number of them that did the work according to their service was: 2of the sons of Asaf: Zakur, and Yosef, and Netan-Yah, and Asarelah, the sons of Asaf; under the hand of Asaf, who prophesied according to the direction of HaMelekh. 3Of Yedutun: the sons of Yedutun: Gedal-Yahu, and Zeri, and Yesha-Yah, Khashav-Yah, and Matit-Yah, six; under the hands of their father Yedutun with the kinor, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising יהוה . Of4 Heiman: the sons of Heiman: Buki-Yahu, Matan-Yahu, Uzi’el, Shevu’el, and Yerimot, Khanan-Yah, Khanani, Eli’atah, Gidalti, and Romamti Ezer, Yoshbekashah, Maloti, Hotir, Makhaziyot; 5all these were the sons of Heiman the Ro’eh of HaMelekh in the things pertaining to Elohim, to lift up the horn. And Elohim gave to Heiman fourteen sons and three daughters. 6All these were under the hands of their fathers for song in Beit יהוה , with cymbals, nevalim, and kinorot, for the service of Beit HaElohim, according to the direction of HaMelekh; Asaf, Yedutun, and Heiman. 7And the number of them, with their brethren that were instructed in singing unto יהוה , even all that were skilful, was two hundred and eighty-eight. 8And they cast lots ward against [ward], as well the small as the great, the teacher as the talmid.
9Now the first lot came forth for Asaf to Yosef; the second to Gedal-Yahu; he and his brethren and sons were twelve; 10the third to Zakur, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 11the fourth to Yitztri, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 12the fifth to Netan-Yah, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 13the sixth to Buki-Yahu, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 14the seventh to Yesarelah, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 15the eighth to Yesha-Yah, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 16the ninth to Matan-Yahu, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 17the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 18the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 19the twelfth to Khashav-Yah, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 20for the thirteenth, Shuva’el, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 21for the fourteenth, Matit-Yahu, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 22for the fifteenth to Yeremot, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 23for the sixteenth to Khanan-Yahu, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 24for the seventeenth to Yoshbekashah, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 25for the eighteenth to Khanani, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 26for the nineteenth to Maloti, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 27for the twentieth to Eli’atah, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 28for the twenty-first to Hotir, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 29for the twenty-second to Gidalti, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 30for the twenty-third to Makhaziyot, his sons and his brethren, twelve; 31for the twenty-fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his brethren, twelve.
אוַיַּבְדֵּל דָּוִיד וְשָׂרֵי הַצָּבָא לַעֲבֹדָה לִבְנֵי אָסָף וְהֵימָן וִידוּתוּן הנביאים (הַנִּבְּאִים) בְּכִנֹּרוֹת בִּנְבָלִים וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם; וַיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם אַנְשֵׁי מְלָאכָה לַעֲבֹדָתָם. בלִבְנֵי אָסָף זַכּוּר וְיוֹסֵף וּנְתַנְיָה וַאֲשַׂרְאֵלָה בְּנֵי אָסָף: עַל יַד אָסָף הַנִּבָּא עַל יְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ. גלִידוּתוּן בְּנֵי יְדוּתוּן גְּדַלְיָהוּ וּצְרִי וִישַׁעְיָהוּ חֲשַׁבְיָהוּ וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ שִׁשָּׁה עַל יְדֵי אֲבִיהֶם יְדוּתוּן בַּכִּנּוֹר הַנִּבָּא עַל הֹדוֹת וְהַלֵּל לַיהוה . דלְהֵימָן בְּנֵי הֵימָן בֻּקִּיָּהוּ מַתַּנְיָהוּ עֻזִּיאֵל שְׁבוּאֵל וִירִימוֹת חֲנַנְיָה חֲנָנִי אֱלִיאָתָה גִדַּלְתִּי וְרֹמַמְתִּי עֶזֶר יָשְׁבְּקָשָׁה מַלּוֹתִי הוֹתִיר מַחֲזִיאֹת. הכָּל אֵלֶּה בָנִים לְהֵימָן חֹזֵה הַמֶּלֶךְ בְּדִבְרֵי הָאֱלֹהִים לְהָרִים קָרֶן; וַיִּתֵּן הָאֱלֹהִים לְהֵימָן בָּנִים אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר וּבָנוֹת שָׁלוֹשׁ. וכָּל אֵלֶּה עַל יְדֵי אֲבִיהֶם בַּשִּׁיר בֵּית יהוה בִּמְצִלְתַּיִם נְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרוֹת לַעֲבֹדַת בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים עַל יְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אָסָף וִידוּתוּן וְהֵימָן. זוַיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם עִם אֲחֵיהֶם מְלֻמְּדֵי שִׁיר לַיהוה : כָּל הַמֵּבִין מָאתַיִם שְׁמוֹנִים וּשְׁמוֹנָה. חוַיַּפִּילוּ גּוֹרָלוֹת מִשְׁמֶרֶת לְעֻמַּת כַּקָּטֹן כַּגָּדוֹל מֵבִין עִם תַּלְמִיד.
טוַיֵּצֵא הַגּוֹרָל הָרִאשׁוֹן לְאָסָף לְיוֹסֵף; גְּדַלְיָהוּ הַשֵּׁנִי הוּא וְאֶחָיו וּבָנָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יהַשְּׁלִשִׁי זַכּוּר בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יאהָרְבִיעִי לַיִּצְרִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יבהַחֲמִישִׁי נְתַנְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יגהַשִּׁשִּׁי בֻקִּיָּהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. ידהַשְּׁבִעִי יְשַׂרְאֵלָה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. טוהַשְּׁמִינִי יְשַׁעְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. טזהַתְּשִׁיעִי מַתַּנְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יזהָעֲשִׂירִי שִׁמְעִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יחעַשְׁתֵּי עָשָׂר עֲזַרְאֵל בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. יטהַשְּׁנֵים עָשָׂר לַחֲשַׁבְיָה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כלִשְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר שׁוּבָאֵל בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כאלְאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר מַתִּתְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כבלַחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר לִירֵמוֹת בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כגלְשִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר לַחֲנַנְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כדלְשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר לְיָשְׁבְּקָשָׁה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כהלִשְׁמוֹנָה עָשָׂר לַחֲנָנִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כולְתִשְׁעָה עָשָׂר לְמַלּוֹתִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כזלְעֶשְׂרִים לֶאֱלִיָּתָה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כחלְאֶחָד וְעֶשְׂרִים לְהוֹתִיר בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. כטלִשְׁנַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִים לְגִדַּלְתִּי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. ללִשְׁלֹשָׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְמַחֲזִיאוֹת בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר. לאלְאַרְבָּעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְרוֹמַמְתִּי עָזֶר בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָׂר.
