1The sons of Yehudah: Peretz, Khetzron, and Karmi, and Khur, and Shoval. 2And Re’a-Yah Ben Shoval begot Yakhat; and Yakhat begot Akhumai, and Lahad. These are the families of the Tzorati. 3And these were [the sons of] the father of Etam: Yizrel, and Yishma, and Yidbash; and the name of their sister was Hatzlelponi; 4and Penu’el the father of Gedor, and Etzer the father of Khushah. These are the sons of Khur the first-born of Efrat, the father of Beit Lekhem. 5And Ash’khur the father of Teko’ah had two wives, Khelah and Na’arah. 6And Na’arah bore him Akhuzam, and Khefer, and Timeni, and Akhashtari. These were the sons of Na’arah. 7And the sons of Khelah were Tzeret, and Tzokhar, and Etnan. 8And Kotz begot Anuv, and Tzovevah, and the families of Akharkhel Ben Harum.
9And Yabetz was more honorable than his brethren; and his mother called his name Yabetz, saying, “Because I bore him with pain.” 10And Yabetz called on Elohei Yisra’el, saying, “Oh that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would work deliverance from evil, that it may not hurt me!” And Elohim granted him that which he requested.
11And Keluv the brother of Shukhah begot Mekhir, who was the father of Eshton. 12And Eshton begot Beit Rafa, and Pase’akh, and Tekhinah the father of Ir Nakhash. These are the men of Rekhah. 13And the sons of Kenaz: Otni’el, and Sera-Yah; and the sons of Otni’el: Khatat. 14And Me’onotai begot Ofrah; and Sera-Yah begot Yo’av the father of Gei Kharashim; for they were craftsmen.
15And the sons of Kalev Ben Yefuneh: Iru, Elah, and Na’am; and the sons of Elah: Kenaz. 16And the sons of Yehalelel: Zif, and Zifah, Tiri’a, and Asarel. 17And the sons of Ezrah: Yeter, and Mered, and Efer, and Yalon. And she bore Miryam, and Shamai, and Ishbah the father of Eshtemo’a. 18And his wife Haihudiyah bore Yered the father of Gedor, and Khever the father of Sokho, and Yekuti’el the father of Zano’akh. And the records are ancient. 23These were the potters, and those that dwelt among plantations and hedges; there they dwelt occupied in the work of HaMelekh. 24The sons of Shimon: Nemu’el, and Yamim, Yariv, Zarakh, Sha’ul; 25Shalum his son, Mivsam his son, Mishma his son. 26And the sons of Mishma: Khamu’el his son, Zakur his son, Shimei his son. 27And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren did not have many children, neither did all their family multiply, like the children of Yehudah. 28And they dwelt at Be’er Shava, and Moladah, and Khatzar Shu’al; 29and at Bilhah, and at Ezem, and at Tolad; 30and at Betu’el, and at Khormah, and at Tziklag; 31and at Beit Markavot, and Khatzar Susim, and at Beit Biri, and at Sha’arayim. טוַיְהִי יַעְבֵּץ נִכְבָּד מֵאֶחָיו; וְאִמּוֹ קָרְאָה שְׁמוֹ יַעְבֵּץ לֵאמֹר כִּי יָלַדְתִּי בְּעֹצֶב. יוַיִּקְרָא יַעְבֵּץ לֵאלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר אִם בָּרֵךְ תְּבָרְכֵנִי וְהִרְבִּיתָ אֶת גְּבוּלִי וְהָיְתָה יָדְךָ עִמִּי וְעָשִׂיתָ מֵּרָעָה לְבִלְתִּי עָצְבִּי וַיָּבֵא אֱלֹהִים אֵת אֲשֶׁר שָׁאָל.
יאוּכְלוּב אֲחִי שׁוּחָה הוֹלִיד אֶת מְחִיר: הוּא אֲבִי אֶשְׁתּוֹן. יבוְאֶשְׁתּוֹן הוֹלִיד אֶת בֵּית רָפָא וְאֶת פָּסֵחַ וְאֶת תְּחִנָּה אֲבִי עִיר נָחָשׁ; אֵלֶּה אַנְשֵׁי רֵכָה. יגוּבְנֵי קְנַז עָתְנִיאֵל וּשְׂרָיָה; וּבְנֵי עָתְנִיאֵל חֲתַת. ידוּמְעוֹנֹתַי הוֹלִיד אֶת עָפְרָה; וּשְׂרָיָה הוֹלִיד אֶת יוֹאָב אֲבִי גֵּיא חֲרָשִׁים כִּי חֲרָשִׁים הָיוּ.
