1Remember, O יהוה , what is come upon us; behold, and see our reproach. 2Our inheritance is turned unto strangers, our houses unto aliens. 3We are become orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows. 4We have drunk our water for money; our wood comes to us for price. 5To our very necks we are pursued; we labor, and have no rest. 6We have given the hand to Mitzrayim, and to Ashur, to have bread enough; 7Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities. 8Servants rule over us; there is none to deliver us out of their hand. 9We get our bread with the peril of our lives because of the sword of the wilderness. 10Our skin is hot like an oven because of the burning heat of famine. 11They have ravished the women in Tzion, the maidens in the cities of Yehudah. 12Princes are hanged up by their hand; the faces of elders are not honored. 13The young men have borne the mill, and the children have stumbled under the wood. 14The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their music. 15The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning. 16The crown is fallen from our head; woe unto us! For we have sinned. 17For this our heart is faint, for these things our eyes are dim; 18for Har Tzion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.
19You, O יהוה , are enthroned forever, your throne is from generation to generation. 20Why do You forget us forever, and forsake us so long a time? 21Turn us unto you, O יהוה , and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old. 22You cannot have utterly rejected us, and be exceedingly wroth against us!
אזְכֹר יהוה מֶה הָיָה לָנוּ הביט (הַבִּיטָה) וּרְאֵה אֶת חֶרְפָּתֵנוּ. בנַחֲלָתֵנוּ נֶהֶפְכָה לְזָרִים בָּתֵּינוּ לְנָכְרִים. גיְתוֹמִים הָיִינוּ אין (וְאֵין) אָב אִמֹּתֵינוּ כְּאַלְמָנוֹת. דמֵימֵינוּ בְּכֶסֶף שָׁתִינוּ עֵצֵינוּ בִּמְחִיר יָבֹאוּ. העַל צַוָּארֵנוּ נִרְדָּפְנוּ יָגַעְנוּ לא (וְלֹא) הוּנַח לָנוּ. ומִצְרַיִם נָתַנּוּ יָד אַשּׁוּר לִשְׂבֹּעַ לָחֶם. זאֲבֹתֵינוּ חָטְאוּ אינם (וְאֵינָם) אנחנו (וַאֲנַחְנוּ) עֲוֹנֹתֵיהֶם סָבָלְנוּ. חעֲבָדִים מָשְׁלוּ בָנוּ פֹּרֵק אֵין מִיָּדָם. טבְּנַפְשֵׁנוּ נָבִיא לַחְמֵנוּ מִפְּנֵי חֶרֶב הַמִּדְבָּר. יעוֹרֵנוּ כְּתַנּוּר נִכְמָרוּ מִפְּנֵי זַלְעֲפוֹת רָעָב. יאנָשִׁים בְּצִיּוֹן עִנּוּ בְּתֻלֹת בְּעָרֵי יְהוּדָה. יבשָׂרִים בְּיָדָם נִתְלוּ פְּנֵי זְקֵנִים לֹא נֶהְדָּרוּ. יגבַּחוּרִים טְחוֹן נָשָׂאוּ וּנְעָרִים בָּעֵץ כָּשָׁלוּ. ידזְקֵנִים מִשַּׁעַר שָׁבָתוּ בַּחוּרִים מִנְּגִינָתָם. טושָׁבַת מְשׂוֹשׂ לִבֵּנוּ נֶהְפַּךְ לְאֵבֶל מְחֹלֵנוּ. טזנָפְלָה עֲטֶרֶת רֹאשֵׁנוּ אוֹי נָא לָנוּ כִּי חָטָאנוּ. יזעַל זֶה הָיָה דָוֶה לִבֵּנוּ עַל אֵלֶּה חָשְׁכוּ עֵינֵינוּ. יחעַל הַר צִיּוֹן שֶׁשָּׁמֵם שׁוּעָלִים הִלְּכוּ בוֹ.
יטאַתָּה יהוה לְעוֹלָם תֵּשֵׁב כִּסְאֲךָ לְדוֹר וָדוֹר. כלָמָּה לָנֶצַח תִּשְׁכָּחֵנוּ תַּעַזְבֵנוּ לְאֹרֶךְ יָמִים. כאהֲשִׁיבֵנוּ יהוה אֵלֶיךָ ונשוב (וְנָשׁוּבָה) חַדֵּשׁ יָמֵינוּ כְּקֶדֶם. כבכִּי אִם מָאֹס מְאַסְתָּנוּ קָצַפְתָּ עָלֵינוּ עַד מְאֹד.
