A wise son is instructed of his father; but a scorner hears not a rebuke.
A man shall eat good from the fruit of his mouth; but the desire of the faithless is violence.
He that guards his mouth keeps his life; but for him that opens wide his lips there shall be ruin.
The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be abundantly gratified.
A Tzadik hates lying; but a wicked man behaves vilely and shamefully.
Tzedaka guards him that is upright in the way; but wickedness overthrows the sinner.
There is one that pretends himself rich, yet has nothing; there is one that pretends himself poor, yet has great wealth.
The ransom of a man’s life are his riches; but the poor hears no threatening.
The light of the Tzadikim rejoices; but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
By pride comes only contention; but with the well-advised is wisdom.
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished; but he that gathers little by little shall increase.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
Whoever despises The Davar shall suffer thereby; but he that fears the Mitzvah shall be rewarded.
The teaching of the wise is a fountain of Khayim, to depart from the snares of Mavet.
Good understanding gives grace; but the way of the faithless is harsh.
Every prudent man deals with forethought; but a fool unfolds folly.
A wicked messenger falls into evil; but a faithful ambassador is health.
Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuses instruction; but he that regards reproof shall be honored.
The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul; and it is an abomination to fools to depart from evil.
He that walks with wise men shall be wise; but the companion of fools shall wail for it.
Evil pursues sinners; but to the Tzadikim, good shall be repaid.
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children; and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for HaTzadik.
Much food is in the tillage of the poor; but there is one that is swept away by lack of justice.
He that spares his rod hates his son; but he that loves him chastens him often.
A Tzadik eats to the satisfying of his desire; but the belly of the wicked shall want.
