Mishlim 2 – משלים ב – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹B’ni, if you will receive my words, and lay up my Mitzvot with you;

²So that you make your ear attend unto wisdom, and your heart incline to discernment;

³Yes, if you call for understanding, and lift up your voice for discernment;

⁴If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures;

⁵Then shall you understand the fear of יהוה , and find the knowledge of Elohim.

⁶For יהוה gives wisdom, out of His mouth comes knowledge and discernment;

⁷He lays up sound wisdom for the upright, He is a Magen to them that walk in integrity;

⁸That He may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of His Khasidim.

⁹Then shall you understand righteousness and justice, and equity, yes, every good path.

¹⁰For wisdom shall enter into your heart, and knowledge shall be pleasant unto your soul;

¹¹Discretion shall watch over you, discernment shall guard you;

¹²To deliver you from the way of evil, from the men that speak perserve things;

¹³Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;

¹⁴Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the perversion of evil;

¹⁵Who are contentious in their ways, and wayward in their paths;

¹⁶To deliver you from the harlot, even from the foreign woman that makes smooth her words;

¹⁷That forsakes יהוה of her youth, and forgets the Brit of her Elohim.

¹⁸For her house sinks down unto Mavet, and her paths unto the shades;

¹⁹None that goes unto her return, neither do they attain unto the paths of life;

²⁰That you may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the Tzadikim.

²¹For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the whole-hearted shall remain in it.

²²But the wicked shall be cut off from the land, and the faithless shall be plucked up out of it.

^אבְּנִי אִם תִּקַּח אֲמָרָי; וּמִצְו‍ֹתַי תִּצְפֹּן אִתָּךְ.

^בלְהַקְשִׁיב לַחָכְמָה אָזְנֶךָ; תַּטֶּה לִבְּךָ לַתְּבוּנָה.

^גכִּי אִם לַבִּינָה תִקְרָא; לַתְּבוּנָה תִּתֵּן קוֹלֶךָ.

^דאִם תְּבַקְשֶׁנָּה כַכָּסֶף; וְכַמַּטְמוֹנִים תַּחְפְּשֶׂנָּה.

^האָז תָּבִין יִרְאַת יהוה ; וְדַעַת אֱלֹהִים תִּמְצָא.

^וכִּי יהוה יִתֵּן חָכְמָה; מִפִּיו דַּעַת וּתְבוּנָה.

^זוצפן (יִצְפֹּן) לַיְשָׁרִים תּוּשִׁיָּה; מָגֵן לְהֹלְכֵי תֹם.

^חלִנְצֹר אָרְחוֹת מִשְׁפָּט; וְדֶרֶךְ חֲסִידָו יִשְׁמֹר.

^טאָז תָּבִין צֶדֶק וּמִשְׁפָּט; וּמֵישָׁרִים כָּל מַעְגַּל טוֹב.

^יכִּי תָבוֹא חָכְמָה בְלִבֶּךָ; וְדַעַת לְנַפְשְׁךָ יִנְעָם.

^יאמְזִמָּה תִּשְׁמֹר עָלֶיךָ; תְּבוּנָה תִנְצְרֶכָּה.

^יבלְהַצִּילְךָ מִדֶּרֶךְ רָע; מֵאִישׁ מְדַבֵּר תַּהְפֻּכוֹת.

^יגהַעֹזְבִים אָרְחוֹת יֹשֶׁר לָלֶכֶת בְּדַרְכֵי חֹשֶׁךְ.

^ידהַשְּׂמֵחִים לַעֲשׂוֹת רָע; יָגִילוּ בְּתַהְפֻּכוֹת רָע.

^טואֲשֶׁר אָרְחֹתֵיהֶם עִקְּשִׁים; וּנְלוֹזִים בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתָם.

^טזלְהַצִּילְךָ מֵאִשָּׁה זָרָה; מִנָּכְרִיָּה אֲמָרֶיהָ הֶחֱלִיקָה.

^יזהַעֹזֶבֶת אַלּוּף נְעוּרֶיהָ; וְאֶת בְּרִית אֱלֹהֶיהָ שָׁכֵחָה.

^יחכִּי שָׁחָה אֶל מָוֶת בֵּיתָהּ; וְאֶל רְפָאִים מַעְגְּלֹתֶיהָ.

^יטכָּל בָּאֶיהָ לֹא יְשׁוּבוּן; וְלֹא יַשִּׂיגוּ אָרְחוֹת חַיִּים.

^כלְמַעַן תֵּלֵךְ בְּדֶרֶךְ טוֹבִים; וְאָרְחוֹת צַדִּיקִים תִּשְׁמֹר.

^כאכִּי יְשָׁרִים יִשְׁכְּנוּ אָרֶץ; וּתְמִימִים יִוָּתְרוּ בָהּ.

^כבוּרְשָׁעִים מֵאֶרֶץ יִכָּרֵתוּ; וּבוֹגְדִים יִסְּחוּ מִמֶּנָּה.
