1Shir HaShirim, which is of Shlomo. 2Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth, for your love is better than wine. 3Your ointments have a goodly fragrance; your name is as ointment poured forth; therefore do the maidens love you. 4Draw me, we will run after you; the king has brought me into his chambers; we will be glad and rejoice in you, we will find your love more fragrant than wine! Sincerely do they love you.
5“I am black, but comely, O daughters of Yerushalayim, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Shlomo. 6Look not upon me, that I am swarthy, that the sun has tanned me; my mother’s sons were incensed against me, they made me keeper of the vineyards; but my own vineyard have I not kept.” 7Tell me, O you whom my soul loves, where do you feed, where do you make your flock to rest at noon; for why should I be as one that veils herself beside the flocks of your companions? 8If you know not, O you fairest among women, go your way forth by the footsteps of the flock and feed your kids, beside the shepherds’ tents.
9I have compared you, O my love, to a steed in Paroh’s chariots. 10Your cheeks are comely with circlets, your neck with beads. 11We will make you circlets of gold with studs of silver. 12While the king sat at his table, my spikenard sent forth its fragrance. 13My beloved is unto me as a bag of myrrh, that lies between my breasts. 14My beloved is unto me as a cluster of henna in the vineyards of Ein Gedi. 15Behold, you are fair, my love; behold, you are fair; Your eyes are as doves. 16Behold, you are fair, my beloved, yes, pleasant; also our couch is luxuriant. 17The beams of our houses are cedars, and our panels are cypresses.
אשִׁיר הַשִּׁירִים אֲשֶׁר לִשְׁלֹמֹה. ביִשָּׁקֵנִי מִנְּשִׁיקוֹת פִּיהוּ כִּי טוֹבִים דֹּדֶיךָ מִיָּיִן. גלְרֵיחַ שְׁמָנֶיךָ טוֹבִים שֶׁמֶן תּוּרַק שְׁמֶךָ; עַל כֵּן עֲלָמוֹת אֲהֵבוּךָ. דמָשְׁכֵנִי אַחֲרֶיךָ נָּרוּצָה; הֱבִיאַנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ חֲדָרָיו נָגִילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בָּךְ נַזְכִּירָה דֹדֶיךָ מִיַּיִן מֵישָׁרִים אֲהֵבוּךָ.
השְׁחוֹרָה אֲנִי וְנָאוָה בְּנוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָם; כְּאָהֳלֵי קֵדָר כִּירִיעוֹת שְׁלֹמֹה. ואַל תִּרְאוּנִי שֶׁאֲנִי שְׁחַרְחֹרֶת שֶׁשְּׁזָפַתְנִי הַשָּׁמֶשׁ; בְּנֵי אִמִּי נִחֲרוּ בִי שָׂמֻנִי נֹטֵרָה אֶת הַכְּרָמִים כַּרְמִי שֶׁלִּי לֹא נָטָרְתִּי. זהַגִּידָה לִּי שֶׁאָהֲבָה נַפְשִׁי אֵיכָה תִרְעֶה אֵיכָה תַּרְבִּיץ בַּצָּהֳרָיִם; שַׁלָּמָה אֶהְיֶה כְּעֹטְיָה עַל עֶדְרֵי חֲבֵרֶיךָ. חאִם לֹא תֵדְעִי לָךְ הַיָּפָה בַּנָּשִׁים; צְאִי לָךְ בְּעִקְבֵי הַצֹּאן וּרְעִי אֶת גְּדִיֹּתַיִךְ עַל מִשְׁכְּנוֹת הָרֹעִים.
טלְסֻסָתִי בְּרִכְבֵי פַרְעֹה דִּמִּיתִיךְ רַעְיָתִי. ינָאווּ לְחָיַיִךְ בַּתֹּרִים צַוָּארֵךְ בַּחֲרוּזִים. יאתּוֹרֵי זָהָב נַעֲשֶׂה לָּךְ עִם נְקֻדּוֹת הַכָּסֶף. יבעַד שֶׁהַמֶּלֶךְ בִּמְסִבּוֹ נִרְדִּי נָתַן רֵיחוֹ. יגצְרוֹר הַמֹּר דּוֹדִי לִי בֵּין שָׁדַי יָלִין. ידאֶשְׁכֹּל הַכֹּפֶר דּוֹדִי לִי בְּכַרְמֵי עֵין גֶּדִי. טוהִנָּךְ יָפָה רַעְיָתִי הִנָּךְ יָפָה עֵינַיִךְ יוֹנִים. טזהִנְּךָ יָפֶה דוֹדִי אַף נָעִים אַף עַרְשֵׂנוּ רַעֲנָנָה. יזקֹרוֹת בָּתֵּינוּ אֲרָזִים רחיטנו (רַהִיטֵנוּ) בְּרוֹתִים.
