1And יהוה said unto me, “Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend and an adulteress, even as יהוה loves B’nei Yisra’el, though they turn unto other gods, and love cakes of raisins.” 2So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer of barley, and a half-homer of barley; 3and I said unto her, “You shall sit solitary for me many days; you shall not play the harlot, and you shall not be any man’s wife; nor will I be yours.” 4“For B’nei Yisra’el shall sit solitary many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without pillar, and without efod or terafim; 5afterward shall B’nei Yisra’el return, and seek יהוה their Elohim, and David their Melekh; and shall come trembling unto יהוה and to His goodness, in the Akharit HaYamim.”
אוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֵלַי עוֹד לֵךְ אֱהַב אִשָּׁה אֲהֻבַת רֵעַ וּמְנָאָפֶת: כְּאַהֲבַת יהוה אֶת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהֵם פֹּנִים אֶל אֱלֹהִים אֲחֵרִים וְאֹהֲבֵי אֲשִׁישֵׁי עֲנָבִים. בוָאֶכְּרֶהָ לִּי בַּחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר כָּסֶף; וְחֹמֶר שְׂעֹרִים וְלֵתֶךְ שְׂעֹרִים. גוָאֹמַר אֵלֶיהָ יָמִים רַבִּים תֵּשְׁבִי לִי לֹא תִזְנִי וְלֹא תִהְיִי לְאִישׁ; וְגַם אֲנִי אֵלָיִךְ. דכִּי יָמִים רַבִּים יֵשְׁבוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֵין מֶלֶךְ וְאֵין שָׂר וְאֵין זֶבַח וְאֵין מַצֵּבָה; וְאֵין אֵפוֹד וּתְרָפִים. האַחַר יָשֻׁבוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבִקְשׁוּ אֶת יהוה אֱלֹהֵיהֶם וְאֵת דָּוִיד מַלְכָּם; וּפָחֲדוּ אֶל יהוה וְאֶל טוּבוֹ בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים.
