1And I said, “Hear, I pray, you heads of Ya’akov, and rulers of Beit Yisra’el. Is it not for you to know justice? 2Who hates the good, and loves the evil; who robs their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; 3who also eats the flesh of my people, and flays their skin from off them, and breaks their bones; yes, they chop them in pieces, as that which is in the pot, and as flesh within the caldron. 4Then shall they cry unto יהוה , but He will not answer them; yes, He will hide His face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.”
5“Thus says יהוה concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that cry, ‘Shalom!’ When their teeth have anything to bite; and whoever puts not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him, 6therefore it shall be night unto you, that you shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that you shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them. 7And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yes, they shall all cover their upper lips; for there shall be no answer of Elohim. 8But I truly am full of power by the Ru’akh יהוה , and of justice, and of might, to declare unto Ya’akov his transgression, and to Yisra’el his sin. 9Hear this, I pray, you heads of Beit Ya’akov, and rulers of Beit Yisra’el, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity; 10that build up Tzion with blood, and Yerushalayim with iniquity. 11The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money; yet will they lean upon יהוה , and say, ‘Is not יהוה in the midst of us? No evil shall come upon us.’ 12Therefore shall Tzion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Yerushalayim shall become heaps, and Har HaBayit as the high places of a forest.”
אוָאֹמַר שִׁמְעוּ נָא רָאשֵׁי יַעֲקֹב וּקְצִינֵי בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל: הֲלוֹא לָכֶם לָדַעַת אֶת הַמִּשְׁפָּט. בשֹׂנְאֵי טוֹב וְאֹהֲבֵי רעה (רָע); גֹּזְלֵי עוֹרָם מֵעֲלֵיהֶם וּשְׁאֵרָם מֵעַל עַצְמוֹתָם. גוַאֲשֶׁר אָכְלוּ שְׁאֵר עַמִּי וְעוֹרָם מֵעֲלֵיהֶם הִפְשִׁיטוּ וְאֶת עַצְמֹתֵיהֶם פִּצֵּחוּ; וּפָרְשׂוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר בַּסִּיר וּכְבָשָׂר בְּתוֹךְ קַלָּחַת. דאָז יִזְעֲקוּ אֶל יהוה וְלֹא יַעֲנֶה אוֹתָם; וְיַסְתֵּר פָּנָיו מֵהֶם בָּעֵת הַהִיא כַּאֲשֶׁר הֵרֵעוּ מַעַלְלֵיהֶם.
הכֹּה אָמַר יהוה עַל הַנְּבִיאִים הַמַּתְעִים אֶת עַמִּי הַנֹּשְׁכִים בְּשִׁנֵּיהֶם וְקָרְאוּ שָׁלוֹם וַאֲשֶׁר לֹא יִתֵּן עַל פִּיהֶם וְקִדְּשׁוּ עָלָיו מִלְחָמָה. ולָכֵן לַיְלָה לָכֶם מֵחָזוֹן וְחָשְׁכָה לָכֶם מִקְּסֹם; וּבָאָה הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ עַל הַנְּבִיאִים וְקָדַר עֲלֵיהֶם הַיּוֹם. זוּבֹשׁוּ הַחֹזִים וְחָפְרוּ הַקֹּסְמִים וְעָטוּ עַל שָׂפָם כֻּלָּם: כִּי אֵין מַעֲנֵה אֱלֹהִים. חוְאוּלָם אָנֹכִי מָלֵאתִי כֹחַ אֶת רוּחַ יהוה וּמִשְׁפָּט וּגְבוּרָה לְהַגִּיד לְיַעֲקֹב פִּשְׁעוֹ וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵל חַטָּאתוֹ. טשִׁמְעוּ נָא זֹאת רָאשֵׁי בֵּית יַעֲקֹב וּקְצִינֵי בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל הַמְתַעֲבִים מִשְׁפָּט וְאֵת כָּל הַיְשָׁרָה יְעַקֵּשׁוּ. יבֹּנֶה צִיּוֹן בְּדָמִים; וִירוּשָׁלִַם בְּעַוְלָה. יארָאשֶׁיהָ בְּשֹׁחַד יִשְׁפֹּטוּ וְכֹהֲנֶיהָ בִּמְחִיר יוֹרוּ וּנְבִיאֶיהָ בְּכֶסֶף יִקְסֹמוּ; וְעַל יהוה יִשָּׁעֵנוּ לֵאמֹר הֲלוֹא יהוה בְּקִרְבֵּנוּ לֹא תָבוֹא עָלֵינוּ רָעָה. יבלָכֵן בִּגְלַלְכֶם צִיּוֹן שָׂדֶה תֵחָרֵשׁ; וִירוּשָׁלִַם עִיִּין תִּהְיֶה וְהַר הַבַּיִת לְבָמוֹת יָעַר.
