1And the princes of the people dwelt in Yerushalayim; the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Yerushalayim the Kadosh city, and nine parts in the other cities. 2And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Yerushalayim.
3Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Yerushalayim; but in the cities of Yehudah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, to wit, Yisra’el, the Kohanim, and the Levi’im, and the Netinim, and the children of Shlomo’s servants. 4And in Yerushalayim dwelt certain of the B’nei Yehudah, and of the B’nei Binyamin. Of B’nei Yehudah: Ata-Yah Ben Uzi-Yah, Ben Zekhar-Yah, Ben Amar-Yah, Ben Shefat-Yah, Ben Mahalalel, of the children of Peretz; 5and Ma’asei-Yah Ben Barukh, Ben Kol Khozeh, Ben Khaza-Yah, Ben Ada-Yah, Ben Yoyariv, Ben Zekhar-Yah, Ben HaShiloni. 6All the sons of Peretz that dwelt in Yerushalayim were four hundred and sixty-eight valiant men. 7And these are the sons of Binyamin: Salu Ben Meshulam, Ben Yo’ed, Ben Peda-Yah, Ben Kola-Yah, Ben Ma’asei-Yah, Ben Iti’el, Ben Yesha-Yah. 8And after him Gabai, Salai, nine hundred and twenty-eight. 9And Yo’el Ben Zikhri was their overseer; and Yehudah Ben HaSenu’ah was second over the city.
10Of the Kohanim: Yeda-Yah Ben Yoyariv, Yakhin, 11Sera-Yah Ben Khilki-Yah, Ben Meshulam, Ben Tzadok, Ben Merayot, Ben Akhituv, the ruler of Beit HaElohim, 12and their brethren that did the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two; and Ada-Yah Ben Yerokham, Ben Pelal-Yah, Ben Amtzi, Ben Zekhar-Yah, Ben Pash’khur, Ben Malkhi-Yah, 13and his brethren, chiefs of the fathers’ houses, two hundred and forty-two; and Amash’sai Ben Azarel, Ben Akhzai, Ben Meshilemot, Ben Imer, 14and their brethren, mighty men of valor, a hundred and twenty-eight; and their overseer was Zavdi’el, Ben HaG’dolim. 15And of the Levi’im: Shema-Yah Ben Khashuv, Ben Azrikam, Ben Khashav-Yah, Ben Buni; 16and Shavetai and Yozavad, of the chiefs of the Levi’im, who had the oversight of the outward business of Beit HaElohim; 17and Matan-Yah Ben Mikhah, Ben Zavdi, Ben Asaf, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbuk-Yah, the second among his brethren; and Avda Ben Shamu’ah, Ben Galal, Ben Yedutun. 18All the Levi’im in the Kadosh city were two hundred and eighty-four.
19Moreover, the porters, Akuv, Talmon, and their brethren, that kept watch at the gates, were a hundred and seventy-two. 20And the remainder of Yisra’el, of the Kohanim, the Levi’im, were in all the cities of Yehudah, every one in his inheritance. 21But the Netinim dwelt in Ofel; and Tzikha and Gishpa were over the Netinim.
22The overseer also of the Levi’im at Yerushalayim was Uzi Ben Bani, Ben Khashav-Yah, Ben Matan-Yah, Ben Mikhah, of the sons of Asaf, the singers, over the business of Beit HaElohim. 23For there was a Mitzvah from the king concerning them, and a sure ordinance concerning the singers, as every day required. 24And Petakh-Yah Ben Meshezavel, of the children of Zerakh Ben Yehudah, was at the king’s hand in all matters concerning the people. 25And for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Yehudah dwelt in Kiryat Arba and the towns thereof, and in Divon and the towns thereof, and in Yekavtze’el and the villages thereof; 26and in Yeshuah, and in Moladah, and Beit Pelet; 27and in Khatzar Shu’al, and in Be’er Shava and the towns thereof; 28and in Tziklag, and in Mekhonah and in the towns thereof; 29and in Ein Rimon, and in Tzorah, and in Yarmut; 30Zano’akh, Adulam, and their villages, Lakhish and the fields thereof, Azikah and the towns thereof. So they encamped from Be’er Shava unto Gei Khinom. 31And the children of Binyamin from Gavah onward, at Mikhmas and Ai-Yah, and at Beit El and the towns thereof; 32at Anatot, Nov, Anan-Yah; 33Khatzor, Ramah, Gitayim; 34Khadid, Tzevo’im, Nevalat; 35Lod, and Onoh, Gei HaKharashim. 36And of the Levi’im, certain courses in Yehudah were joined to Binyamin.
אוַיֵּשְׁבוּ שָׂרֵי הָעָם בִּירוּשָׁלִָם; וּשְׁאָר הָעָם הִפִּילוּ גוֹרָלוֹת לְהָבִיא אֶחָד מִן הָעֲשָׂרָה לָשֶׁבֶת בִּירוּשָׁלִַם עִיר הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְתֵשַׁע הַיָּדוֹת בֶּעָרִים. בוַיְבָרְכוּ הָעָם לְכֹל הָאֲנָשִׁים הַמִּתְנַדְּבִים לָשֶׁבֶת בִּירוּשָׁלִָם.
גוְאֵלֶּה רָאשֵׁי הַמְּדִינָה אֲשֶׁר יָשְׁבוּ בִּירוּשָׁלִָם; וּבְעָרֵי יְהוּדָה יָשְׁבוּ אִישׁ בַּאֲחֻזָּתוֹ בְּעָרֵיהֶם יִשְׂרָאֵל הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם וְהַנְּתִינִים וּבְנֵי עַבְדֵי שְׁלֹמֹה. דוּבִירוּשָׁלִַם יָשְׁבוּ מִבְּנֵי יְהוּדָה וּמִבְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן: מִבְּנֵי יְהוּדָה עֲתָיָה בֶן עֻזִּיָּה בֶּן זְכַרְיָה בֶן אֲמַרְיָה בֶּן שְׁפַטְיָה בֶן מַהֲלַלְאֵל מִבְּנֵי פָרֶץ. הוּמַעֲשֵׂיָה בֶן בָּרוּךְ בֶּן כָּל חֹזֶה בֶּן חֲזָיָה בֶן עֲדָיָה בֶן יוֹיָרִיב בֶּן זְכַרְיָה בֶּן הַשִּׁלֹנִי. וכָּל בְּנֵי פֶרֶץ הַיֹּשְׁבִים בִּירוּשָׁלִָם אַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁמֹנָה אַנְשֵׁי חָיִל. זוְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן: סַלֻּא בֶּן מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן יוֹעֵד בֶּן פְּדָיָה בֶן קוֹלָיָה בֶן מַעֲשֵׂיָה בֶּן אִיתִיאֵל בֶּן יְשַׁעְיָה. חוְאַחֲרָיו גַּבַּי סַלָּי תְּשַׁע מֵאוֹת עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁמֹנָה. טוְיוֹאֵל בֶּן זִכְרִי פָּקִיד עֲלֵיהֶם; וִיהוּדָה בֶן הַסְּנוּאָה עַל הָעִיר מִשְׁנֶה.
ימִן הַכֹּהֲנִים: יְדַעְיָה בֶן יוֹיָרִיב יָכִין. יאשְׂרָיָה בֶן חִלְקִיָּה בֶּן מְשֻׁלָּם בֶּן צָדוֹק בֶּן מְרָיוֹת בֶּן אֲחִיטוּב נְגִד בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים. יבוַאֲחֵיהֶם עֹשֵׂה הַמְּלָאכָה לַבַּיִת שְׁמֹנֶה מֵאוֹת עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁנָיִם; וַעֲדָיָה בֶּן יְרֹחָם בֶּן פְּלַלְיָה בֶּן אַמְצִי בֶן זְכַרְיָה בֶּן פַּשְׁחוּר בֶּן מַלְכִּיָּה. יגוְאֶחָיו רָאשִׁים לְאָבוֹת מָאתַיִם אַרְבָּעִים וּשְׁנָיִם; וַעֲמַשְׁסַי בֶּן עֲזַרְאֵל בֶּן אַחְזַי בֶּן מְשִׁלֵּמוֹת בֶּן אִמֵּר. ידוַאֲחֵיהֶם גִּבֹּרֵי חַיִל מֵאָה עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁמֹנָה; וּפָקִיד עֲלֵיהֶם זַבְדִּיאֵל בֶּן הַגְּדוֹלִים. טווּמִן הַלְוִיִּם: שְׁמַעְיָה בֶן חַשּׁוּב בֶּן עַזְרִיקָם בֶּן חֲשַׁבְיָה בֶּן בּוּנִּי. טזוְשַׁבְּתַי וְיוֹזָבָד עַל הַמְּלָאכָה הַחִיצֹנָה לְבֵית הָאֱלֹהִים מֵרָאשֵׁי הַלְוִיִּם. יזוּמַתַּנְיָה בֶן מִיכָא בֶּן זַבְדִּי בֶן אָסָף רֹאשׁ הַתְּחִלָּה יְהוֹדֶה לַתְּפִלָּה וּבַקְבֻּקְיָה מִשְׁנֶה מֵאֶחָיו; וְעַבְדָּא בֶּן שַׁמּוּעַ בֶּן גָּלָל בֶּן ידיתון (יְדוּתוּן). יחכָּל הַלְוִיִּם בְּעִיר הַקֹּדֶשׁ מָאתַיִם שְׁמֹנִים וְאַרְבָּעָה.
יטוְהַשּׁוֹעֲרִים עַקּוּב טַלְמוֹן וַאֲחֵיהֶם הַשֹּׁמְרִים בַּשְּׁעָרִים מֵאָה שִׁבְעִים וּשְׁנָיִם. כוּשְׁאָר יִשְׂרָאֵל הַכֹּהֲנִים הַלְוִיִּם בְּכָל עָרֵי יְהוּדָה אִישׁ בְּנַחֲלָתוֹ. כאוְהַנְּתִינִים יֹשְׁבִים בָּעֹפֶל; וְצִיחָא וְגִשְׁפָּא עַל הַנְּתִינִים.
כבוּפְקִיד הַלְוִיִּם בִּירוּשָׁלִַם עֻזִּי בֶן בָּנִי בֶּן חֲשַׁבְיָה בֶּן מַתַּנְיָה בֶּן מִיכָא: מִבְּנֵי אָסָף הַמְשֹׁרְרִים לְנֶגֶד מְלֶאכֶת בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים. כגכִּי מִצְוַת הַמֶּלֶךְ עֲלֵיהֶם; וַאֲמָנָה עַל הַמְשֹׁרְרִים דְּבַר יוֹם בְּיוֹמוֹ. כדוּפְתַחְיָה בֶן מְשֵׁיזַבְאֵל מִבְּנֵי זֶרַח בֶּן יְהוּדָה לְיַד הַמֶּלֶךְ לְכָל דָּבָר לָעָם. כהוְאֶל הַחֲצֵרִים בִּשְׂדֹתָם מִבְּנֵי יְהוּדָה יָשְׁבוּ בְּקִרְיַת הָאַרְבַּע וּבְנֹתֶיהָ וּבְדִיבֹן וּבְנֹתֶיהָ וּבִיקַּבְצְאֵל וַחֲצֵרֶיהָ. כווּבְיֵשׁוּעַ וּבְמֹלָדָה וּבְבֵית פָּלֶט. כזוּבַחֲצַר שׁוּעָל וּבִבְאֵר שֶׁבַע וּבְנֹתֶיהָ. כחוּבְצִקְלַג וּבִמְכֹנָה וּבִבְנֹתֶיהָ. כטוּבְעֵין רִמּוֹן וּבְצָרְעָה וּבְיַרְמוּת. לזָנֹחַ עֲדֻלָּם וְחַצְרֵיהֶם לָכִישׁ וּשְׂדֹתֶיהָ עֲזֵקָה וּבְנֹתֶיהָ; וַיַּחֲנוּ מִבְּאֵר שֶׁבַע עַד גֵּיא הִנֹּם. לאוּבְנֵי בִנְיָמִן מִגָּבַע מִכְמָשׂ וְעַיָּה וּבֵית אֵל וּבְנֹתֶיהָ. לבעֲנָתוֹת נֹב עֲנָנְיָה. לגחָצוֹר רָמָה גִּתָּיִם. לדחָדִיד צְבֹעִים נְבַלָּט. להלֹד וְאוֹנוֹ גֵּי הַחֲרָשִׁים. לווּמִן הַלְוִיִּם מַחְלְקוֹת יְהוּדָה לְבִנְיָמִין.
