1“But now thus says יהוה that created you, O Ya’akov, and He that formed you, O Yisra’el, ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name, you are Mine. 2When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you; when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon you. 3For I am יהוה your Elohim, Kadosh One of Yisra’el, your Savior; I have given Mitzrayim as your ransom, Kush and Seva for you. 4Since you are precious in My sight, and honorable, and I have loved you, therefore will I give men for you, and peoples for your life. 5Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west; 6I will say to the north, ‘Give up,’ and to the south, ‘Keep not back, bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the end of the earth; 7every one that is called by My Name, and whom I have created for My glory, I have formed him, yes, I have made him’. 8The blind people that have eyes shall be brought forth, and the deaf that have ears. 9All the nations are gathered together, and the peoples are assembled; who among them can declare this, and announce to us former things? Let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; and let them hear, and say, ‘It is truth.’ 10You are My witnesses, says יהוה , and My servant whom I have chosen; that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He; before Me there was no god formed, neither shall any be after Me. end B’reshit 11I, even I, am יהוה ; and beside Me there is no savior. 12I have declared, and I have saved, and I have announced, and there was no strange god among you; therefore you are My witnesses, says יהוה , and I am God. 13Yes, since the day was, I am He, and there is none that can deliver out of My hand; I will work, and who can reverse it? 14Thus says יהוה , your Redeemer, The Kadosh One of Yisra’el: For your sake I have sent to Bavel, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Kasdim, in the ships of their shouting. 15I am יהוה , your Kadosh, the Creator of Yisra’el, your Melekh. 16Thus says יהוה , who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; 17who brings forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power. They lie down together, they shall not rise, they are extinct, they are quenched as a wick. 18Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. 20The beasts of the field shall honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My elect; VaYikra 21the people which I formed for Myself, that they might tell of My praise. 22Yet you have not called upon Me, O Ya’akov, neither have you wearied yourself about Me, O Yisra’el. 23You have not brought Me the small cattle of your burnt-offerings; neither have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with a meal-offering, nor wearied you with frankincense. 24You have bought Me no sweet cane with money, neither have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened Me with your sins, you have wearied Me with your iniquities. 25I, even I, am He that blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and your sins I will not remember. 26Put Me in remembrance, let us plead together; declare, that you may be justified. 27Your first father sinned, and your intercessors have transgressed against Me. 28Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and I have given Ya’akov to condemnation, and Yisra’el to reviling’.”
אוְעַתָּה כֹּה אָמַר יהוה בֹּרַאֲךָ יַעֲקֹב וְיֹצֶרְךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל: אַל תִּירָא כִּי גְאַלְתִּיךָ קָרָאתִי בְשִׁמְךָ לִי אָתָּה. בכִּי תַעֲבֹר בַּמַּיִם אִתְּךָ אָנִי וּבַנְּהָרוֹת לֹא יִשְׁטְפוּךָ: כִּי תֵלֵךְ בְּמוֹ אֵשׁ לֹא תִכָּוֶה וְלֶהָבָה לֹא תִבְעַר בָּךְ. גכִּי אֲנִי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל מוֹשִׁיעֶךָ; נָתַתִּי כָפְרְךָ מִצְרַיִם כּוּשׁ וּסְבָא תַּחְתֶּיךָ. דמֵאֲשֶׁר יָקַרְתָּ בְעֵינַי נִכְבַּדְתָּ וַאֲנִי אֲהַבְתִּיךָ; וְאֶתֵּן אָדָם תַּחְתֶּיךָ וּלְאֻמִּים תַּחַת נַפְשֶׁךָ. האַל תִּירָא כִּי אִתְּךָ אָנִי: מִמִּזְרָח אָבִיא זַרְעֶךָ וּמִמַּעֲרָב אֲקַבְּצֶךָּ. ואֹמַר לַצָּפוֹן תֵּנִי וּלְתֵימָן אַל תִּכְלָאִי; הָבִיאִי בָנַי מֵרָחוֹק וּבְנוֹתַי מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ. זכֹּל הַנִּקְרָא בִשְׁמִי וְלִכְבוֹדִי בְּרָאתִיו: יְצַרְתִּיו אַף עֲשִׂיתִיו. חהוֹצִיא עַם עִוֵּר וְעֵינַיִם יֵשׁ; וְחֵרְשִׁים וְאָזְנַיִם לָמוֹ. טכָּל הַגּוֹיִם נִקְבְּצוּ יַחְדָּו וְיֵאָסְפוּ לְאֻמִּים מִי בָהֶם יַגִּיד זֹאת וְרִאשֹׁנוֹת יַשְׁמִיעֻנוּ; יִתְּנוּ עֵדֵיהֶם וְיִצְדָּקוּ וְיִשְׁמְעוּ וְיֹאמְרוּ אֱמֶת. יאַתֶּם עֵדַי נְאֻם יהוה וְעַבְדִּי אֲשֶׁר בָּחָרְתִּי: לְמַעַן תֵּדְעוּ וְתַאֲמִינוּ לִי וְתָבִינוּ כִּי אֲנִי הוּא לְפָנַי לֹא נוֹצַר אֵל וְאַחֲרַי לֹא יִהְיֶה. יאאָנֹכִי אָנֹכִי יהוה ; וְאֵין מִבַּלְעָדַי מוֹשִׁיעַ. יבאָנֹכִי הִגַּדְתִּי וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּי וְהִשְׁמַעְתִּי וְאֵין בָּכֶם זָר; וְאַתֶּם עֵדַי נְאֻם יהוה וַאֲנִי אֵל. יגגַּם מִיּוֹם אֲנִי הוּא וְאֵין מִיָּדִי מַצִּיל; אֶפְעַל וּמִי יְשִׁיבֶנָּה. ידכֹּה אָמַר יהוה גֹּאַלְכֶם קְדוֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל: לְמַעַנְכֶם שִׁלַּחְתִּי בָבֶלָה וְהוֹרַדְתִּי בָרִיחִים כֻּלָּם וְכַשְׂדִּים בָּאֳנִיּוֹת רִנָּתָם. טואֲנִי יהוה קְדוֹשְׁכֶם; בּוֹרֵא יִשְׂרָאֵל מַלְכְּכֶם. טזכֹּה אָמַר יהוה הַנּוֹתֵן בַּיָּם דָּרֶךְ וּבְמַיִם עַזִּים נְתִיבָה. יזהַמּוֹצִיא רֶכֶב וָסוּס חַיִל וְעִזּוּז; יַחְדָּו יִשְׁכְּבוּ בַּל יָקוּמוּ דָּעֲכוּ כַּפִּשְׁתָּה כָבוּ. יחאַל תִּזְכְּרוּ רִאשֹׁנוֹת; וְקַדְמֹנִיּוֹת אַל תִּתְבֹּנָנוּ. יטהִנְנִי עֹשֶׂה חֲדָשָׁה עַתָּה תִצְמָח הֲלוֹא תֵּדָעוּהָ; אַף אָשִׂים בַּמִּדְבָּר דֶּרֶךְ בִּישִׁמוֹן נְהָרוֹת. כתְּכַבְּדֵנִי חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה תַּנִּים וּבְנוֹת יַעֲנָה: כִּי נָתַתִּי בַמִּדְבָּר מַיִם נְהָרוֹת בִּישִׁימֹן לְהַשְׁקוֹת עַמִּי בְחִירִי. כאעַם זוּ יָצַרְתִּי לִי תְּהִלָּתִי יְסַפֵּרוּ. כבוְלֹא אֹתִי קָרָאתָ יַעֲקֹב: כִּי יָגַעְתָּ בִּי יִשְׂרָאֵל. כגלֹא הֵבֵיאתָ לִּי שֵׂה עֹלֹתֶיךָ וּזְבָחֶיךָ לֹא כִבַּדְתָּנִי; לֹא הֶעֱבַדְתִּיךָ בְּמִנְחָה וְלֹא הוֹגַעְתִּיךָ בִּלְבוֹנָה. כדלֹא קָנִיתָ לִּי בַכֶּסֶף קָנֶה וְחֵלֶב זְבָחֶיךָ לֹא הִרְוִיתָנִי; אַךְ הֶעֱבַדְתַּנִי בְּחַטֹּאותֶיךָ הוֹגַעְתַּנִי בַּעֲוֹנֹתֶיךָ. כהאָנֹכִי אָנֹכִי הוּא מֹחֶה פְשָׁעֶיךָ לְמַעֲנִי: וְחַטֹּאתֶיךָ לֹא אֶזְכֹּר. כוהַזְכִּירֵנִי נִשָּׁפְטָה יָחַד; סַפֵּר אַתָּה לְמַעַן תִּצְדָּק. כזאָבִיךָ הָרִאשׁוֹן חָטָא; וּמְלִיצֶיךָ פָּשְׁעוּ בִי. כחוַאֲחַלֵּל שָׂרֵי קֹדֶשׁ; וְאֶתְּנָה לַחֵרֶם יַעֲקֹב וְיִשְׂרָאֵל לְגִדּוּפִים.
