1“Hearken to Me, you that follow after tzedaka, you that seek יהוה ; look unto the rock from whence you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from whence you were digged. 2Look unto Avraham your father, and unto Sarah that bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many. 3For יהוה has comforted Tzion; He has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like Gan יהוה ; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. end Ekev (1) 4Attend unto Me, O My people, and give ear unto Me, O My nation; for Torah shall go forth from Me, and My judgment in a moment, for a light of the peoples. 5My Righteousness is near, My Salvation is gone forth, and My arms shall judge the peoples; the isles shall wait for Me, and on My Zero’ah shall they trust. 6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner; but My Salvation shall be forever, and My Righteousness shall not be abolished.”
7“Hearken unto Me, you that know tzedaka, the people in whose heart is My Torah; do not fear the taunt of men, neither be dismayed at their revilings. 8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but My Tzedaka shall be forever, and My Salvation unto all generations. 9Awake, awake, put on strength, O Zero’ah יהוה ; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Are you not He that hewed Rahav in pieces, that pierced the dragon? 10Are you not He that dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over? 11And the ransomed of יהוה shall return, and come with singing unto Tzion, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Shoftim (3) 12I, even I, am He that comforts you: who are you, that you are afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass; 13and have forgotten יהוה your Maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and yet you fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, as he makes ready to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor? 14He that is bent down shall speedily be loosed; and he shall not go down dying into the pit, neither shall his bread fail. 15For I am יהוה your Elohim, who stirs up the sea, that the waves thereof roar; יהוה Tzeva’ot is His name. 16And I have put My D’varim in your mouth, and have covered you in the shadow of My hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Tzion, ‘You are My people.’ 17Awake, awake, stand up, O Yerushalayim, that have drunk at the hand of יהוה the cup of His fury; you have drunken the beaker, even the cup of staggering, and drained it. 18There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any that takes her by the hand of all the sons that she has brought up. 19These two things are befallen you; who shall bemoan you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort you? 20Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the fury of יהוה , the rebuke of your Elohim. 21Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:”
22“Thus says your Adonai יהוה , and your Elohim that pleads the cause of His people, ‘Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering; the beaker, even the cup of My fury, you shall no more drink it again; 23and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict you; that have said to your soul, ‘Bow down, that we may go over’; and you have laid your back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.”
אשִׁמְעוּ אֵלַי רֹדְפֵי צֶדֶק מְבַקְשֵׁי יהוה ; הַבִּיטוּ אֶל צוּר חֻצַּבְתֶּם וְאֶל מַקֶּבֶת בּוֹר נֻקַּרְתֶּם. בהַבִּיטוּ אֶל אַבְרָהָם אֲבִיכֶם וְאֶל שָׂרָה תְּחוֹלֶלְכֶם: כִּי אֶחָד קְרָאתִיו וַאֲבָרְכֵהוּ וְאַרְבֵּהוּ. גכִּי נִחַם יהוה צִיּוֹן נִחַם כָּל חָרְבֹתֶיהָ וַיָּשֶׂם מִדְבָּרָהּ כְּעֵדֶן וְעַרְבָתָהּ כְּגַן יהוה ; שָׂשׂוֹן וְשִׂמְחָה יִמָּצֵא בָהּ תּוֹדָה וְקוֹל זִמְרָה. דהַקְשִׁיבוּ אֵלַי עַמִּי וּלְאוּמִּי אֵלַי הַאֲזִינוּ: כִּי תוֹרָה מֵאִתִּי תֵצֵא וּמִשְׁפָּטִי לְאוֹר עַמִּים אַרְגִּיעַ. הקָרוֹב צִדְקִי יָצָא יִשְׁעִי וּזְרֹעַי עַמִּים יִשְׁפֹּטוּ; אֵלַי אִיִּים יְקַוּוּ וְאֶל זְרֹעִי יְיַחֵלוּן. ושְׂאוּ לַשָּׁמַיִם עֵינֵיכֶם וְהַבִּיטוּ אֶל הָאָרֶץ מִתַּחַת כִּי שָׁמַיִם כֶּעָשָׁן נִמְלָחוּ וְהָאָרֶץ כַּבֶּגֶד תִּבְלֶה וְיֹשְׁבֶיהָ כְּמוֹ כֵן יְמוּתוּן; וִישׁוּעָתִי לְעוֹלָם תִּהְיֶה וְצִדְקָתִי לֹא תֵחָת.
זשִׁמְעוּ אֵלַי יֹדְעֵי צֶדֶק עַם תּוֹרָתִי בְלִבָּם: אַל תִּירְאוּ חֶרְפַּת אֱנוֹשׁ וּמִגִּדֻּפֹתָם אַל תֵּחָתּוּ. חכִּי כַבֶּגֶד יֹאכְלֵם עָשׁ וְכַצֶּמֶר יֹאכְלֵם סָס; וְצִדְקָתִי לְעוֹלָם תִּהְיֶה וִישׁוּעָתִי לְדוֹרדּוֹרִים. טעוּרִי עוּרִי לִבְשִׁי עֹז זְרוֹעַ יהוה עוּרִי כִּימֵי קֶדֶם דֹּרוֹת עוֹלָמִים; הֲלוֹא אַתְּ הִיא הַמַּחְצֶבֶת רַהַב מְחוֹלֶלֶת תַּנִּין. יהֲלוֹא אַתְּ הִיא הַמַּחֲרֶבֶת יָם מֵי תְּהוֹם רַבָּה; הַשָּׂמָה מַעֲמַקֵּי יָם דֶּרֶךְ לַעֲבֹר גְּאוּלִים. יאוּפְדוּיֵי יהוה יְשׁוּבוּן וּבָאוּ צִיּוֹן בְּרִנָּה וְשִׂמְחַת עוֹלָם עַל רֹאשָׁם; שָׂשׂוֹן וְשִׂמְחָה יַשִּׂיגוּן נָסוּ יָגוֹן וַאֲנָחָה. יבאָנֹכִי אָנֹכִי הוּא מְנַחֶמְכֶם; מִי אַתְּ וַתִּירְאִי מֵאֱנוֹשׁ יָמוּת וּמִבֶּן אָדָם חָצִיר יִנָּתֵן. יגוַתִּשְׁכַּח יהוה עֹשֶׂךָ נוֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם וְיֹסֵד אָרֶץ וַתְּפַחֵד תָּמִיד כָּל הַיּוֹם מִפְּנֵי חֲמַת הַמֵּצִיק כַּאֲשֶׁר כּוֹנֵן לְהַשְׁחִית; וְאַיֵּה חֲמַת הַמֵּצִיק. ידמִהַר צֹעֶה לְהִפָּתֵחַ; וְלֹא יָמוּת לַשַּׁחַת וְלֹא יֶחְסַר לַחְמוֹ. טווְאָנֹכִי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ רֹגַע הַיָּם וַיֶּהֱמוּ גַּלָּיו; יהוה צְבָאוֹת שְׁמוֹ. טזוָאָשִׂם דְּבָרַי בְּפִיךָ וּבְצֵל יָדִי כִּסִּיתִיךָ; לִנְטֹעַ שָׁמַיִם וְלִיסֹד אָרֶץ וְלֵאמֹר לְצִיּוֹן עַמִּי אָתָּה. יזהִתְעוֹרְרִי הִתְעוֹרְרִי קוּמִי יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֲשֶׁר שָׁתִית מִיַּד יהוה אֶת כּוֹס חֲמָתוֹ; אֶת קֻבַּעַת כּוֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָה שָׁתִית מָצִית. יחאֵין מְנַהֵל לָהּ מִכָּל בָּנִים יָלָדָה; וְאֵין מַחֲזִיק בְּיָדָהּ מִכָּל בָּנִים גִּדֵּלָה. יטשְׁתַּיִם הֵנָּה קֹרְאֹתַיִךְ מִי יָנוּד לָךְ; הַשֹּׁד וְהַשֶּׁבֶר וְהָרָעָב וְהַחֶרֶב מִי אֲנַחֲמֵךְ. כבָּנַיִךְ עֻלְּפוּ שָׁכְבוּ בְּרֹאשׁ כָּל חוּצוֹת כְּתוֹא מִכְמָר; הַמְלֵאִים חֲמַת יהוה גַּעֲרַת אֱלֹהָיִךְ. כאלָכֵן שִׁמְעִי נָא זֹאת עֲנִיָּה; וּשְׁכֻרַת וְלֹא מִיָּיִן.
כבכֹּה אָמַר אֲדֹנַיִךְ יהוה וֵאלֹהַיִךְ יָרִיב עַמּוֹ הִנֵּה לָקַחְתִּי מִיָּדֵךְ אֶת כּוֹס הַתַּרְעֵלָה אֶת קֻבַּעַת כּוֹס חֲמָתִי לֹא תוֹסִיפִי לִשְׁתּוֹתָהּ עוֹד. כגוְשַׂמְתִּיהָ בְּיַד מוֹגַיִךְ אֲשֶׁר אָמְרוּ לְנַפְשֵׁךְ שְׁחִי וְנַעֲבֹרָה; וַתָּשִׂימִי כָאָרֶץ גֵּוֵךְ וְכַחוּץ לַעֹבְרִים.
