1“Open your doors, O Levanon, that the fire may devour your cedars. 2Wail, O cypress tree, for the cedar is fallen; because the glorious ones are spoiled; wail, O you oaks of Bashan, for the strong forest is come down. 3Hark! The wailing of the shepherds, for their glory is spoiled; Hark! The roaring of young lions, for the thickets of the Yarden are spoiled.”
4Thus said יהוה my Elohim, “Feed the flock of slaughter; 5whose buyers slay them, and hold themselves not guilty; and they that sell them say, ‘Blessed is יהוה , for I am rich’; and their own shepherds pity them not. 6For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, says יהוה ; but, lo, I will deliver the men, every one, into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king; and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.” 7So I fed the flock of slaughter, even the poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called ‘No’am’, and the other I called ‘Khovlim’; and I fed the flock. 8And I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for My soul became impatient of them, and their soul also loathed Me. 9Then I said, “I will not feed you; that which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let them that are left eat every one the flesh of another.” 10And I took my staff, No’am, and cut it asunder, that I might break My Brit which I had made with all the peoples. 11And it was broken in that day; and the poor of the flock that gave heed unto me knew of a truth that it was the D’var יהוה . And12 I said unto them, “If you think good, give me my hire; and if not, forbear.” So they weighed for my hire thirty pieces of silver. 13And יהוה said unto me, “Cast it into the treasury, the goodly price that I was prized at of them.” And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them into the treasury, in Beit יהוה . Then14 I cut asunder my other staff, even Khovlim, that the brotherhood between Yehudah and Yisra’el might be broken.”
15And יהוה said unto me, “Take unto you yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. 16For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not think of those that are cut off, neither will seek those that are young, nor heal that which is broken; neither will he feed that which stands still, but he will eat the flesh of the fat, and will break their hooves in pieces. 17Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaves the flock! The sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye; his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.”
אפְּתַח לְבָנוֹן דְּלָתֶיךָ; וְתֹאכַל אֵשׁ בַּאֲרָזֶיךָ. בהֵילֵל בְּרוֹשׁ כִּי נָפַל אֶרֶז אֲשֶׁר אַדִּרִים שֻׁדָּדוּ; הֵילִילוּ אַלּוֹנֵי בָשָׁן כִּי יָרַד יַעַר הבצור (הַבָּצִיר). גקוֹל יִלְלַת הָרֹעִים כִּי שֻׁדְּדָה אַדַּרְתָּם; קוֹל שַׁאֲגַת כְּפִירִים כִּי שֻׁדַּד גְּאוֹן הַיַּרְדֵּן.
דכֹּה אָמַר יהוה אֱלֹהָי: רְעֵה אֶת צֹאן הַהֲרֵגָה. האֲשֶׁר קֹנֵיהֶן יַהַרְגֻן וְלֹא יֶאְשָׁמוּ וּמֹכְרֵיהֶן יֹאמַר בָּרוּךְ יהוה וַאעְשִׁר; וְרֹעֵיהֶם לֹא יַחְמוֹל עֲלֵיהֶן. וכִּי לֹא אֶחְמוֹל עוֹד עַל יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ נְאֻם יהוה ; וְהִנֵּה אָנֹכִי מַמְצִיא אֶת הָאָדָם אִישׁ בְּיַד רֵעֵהוּ וּבְיַד מַלְכּוֹ וְכִתְּתוּ אֶת הָאָרֶץ וְלֹא אַצִּיל מִיָּדָם. זוָאֶרְעֶה אֶת צֹאן הַהֲרֵגָה לָכֵן עֲנִיֵּי הַצֹּאן; וָאֶקַּח לִי שְׁנֵי מַקְלוֹת לְאַחַד קָרָאתִי נֹעַם וּלְאַחַד קָרָאתִי חֹבְלִים וָאֶרְעֶה אֶת הַצֹּאן. חוָאַכְחִד אֶת שְׁלֹשֶׁת הָרֹעִים בְּיֶרַח אֶחָד; וַתִּקְצַר נַפְשִׁי בָּהֶם וְגַם נַפְשָׁם בָּחֲלָה בִי. טוָאֹמַר לֹא אֶרְעֶה אֶתְכֶם; הַמֵּתָה תָמוּת וְהַנִּכְחֶדֶת תִּכָּחֵד וְהַנִּשְׁאָרוֹת תֹּאכַלְנָה אִשָּׁה אֶת בְּשַׂר רְעוּתָהּ. יוָאֶקַּח אֶת מַקְלִי אֶת נֹעַם וָאֶגְדַּע אֹתוֹ לְהָפֵיר אֶת בְּרִיתִי אֲשֶׁר כָּרַתִּי אֶת כָּל הָעַמִּים. יאוַתֻּפַר בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא; וַיֵּדְעוּ כֵן עֲנִיֵּי הַצֹּאן הַשֹּׁמְרִים אֹתִי כִּי דְבַר יהוה הוּא. יבוָאֹמַר אֲלֵיהֶם אִם טוֹב בְּעֵינֵיכֶם הָבוּ שְׂכָרִי וְאִם לֹא חֲדָלוּ; וַיִּשְׁקְלוּ אֶת שְׂכָרִי שְׁלֹשִׁים כָּסֶף. יגוַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֵלַי הַשְׁלִיכֵהוּ אֶל הַיּוֹצֵר אֶדֶר הַיְקָר אֲשֶׁר יָקַרְתִּי מֵעֲלֵיהֶם; וָאֶקְחָה שְׁלֹשִׁים הַכֶּסֶף וָאַשְׁלִיךְ אֹתוֹ בֵּית יהוה אֶל הַיּוֹצֵר. ידוָאֶגְדַּע אֶת מַקְלִי הַשֵּׁנִי אֵת הַחֹבְלִים לְהָפֵר אֶת הָאַחֲוָה בֵּין יְהוּדָה וּבֵין יִשְׂרָאֵל.
טווַיֹּאמֶר יהוה אֵלָי: עוֹד קַח לְךָ כְּלִי רֹעֶה אֱוִלִי. טזכִּי הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי מֵקִים רֹעֶה בָּאָרֶץ הַנִּכְחָדוֹת לֹא יִפְקֹד הַנַּעַר לֹא יְבַקֵּשׁ וְהַנִּשְׁבֶּרֶת לֹא יְרַפֵּא; הַנִּצָּבָה לֹא יְכַלְכֵּל וּבְשַׂר הַבְּרִיאָה יֹאכַל וּפַרְסֵיהֶן יְפָרֵק. יזהוֹי רֹעִי הָאֱלִיל עֹזְבִי הַצֹּאן חֶרֶב עַל זְרוֹעוֹ וְעַל עֵין יְמִינוֹ; זְרֹעוֹ יָבוֹשׁ תִּיבָשׁ וְעֵין יְמִינוֹ כָּהֹה תִכְהֶה.
