1The burden of the D’var יהוה concerning Yisra’el. The saying of יהוה , who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundation of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him, 2“Behold, I will make Yerushalayim a cup of staggering unto all the peoples round about, and upon Yehudah also shall it fall to be in the siege against Yerushalayim. 3And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Yerushalayim a stone of burden for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it. 4In that day, says יהוה , I will smite every horse with bewilderment, and his rider with madness; and I will open My eyes upon Beit Yehudah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness. 5And the chiefs of Yehudah shall say in their heart, ‘The inhabitants of Yerushalayim are my strength,’ through יהוה Tzeva’ot their Elohim. 6In that day will I make the chiefs of Yehudah like a pan of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Yerushalayim shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Yerushalayim. 7 יהוה also shall save the tents of Yehudah first, that the Kavod Beit David and the glory of the inhabitants of Yerushalayim is not magnified above Yehudah. 8In that day shall יהוה defend the inhabitants of Yerushalayim; and he that stumbles among them at that day shall be as David; and Beit David shall be as Elohim, as the Malakh יהוה before them. 9And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Yerushalayim. 10And I will pour upon Beit David, and upon the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, the Ru’akh of grace and of supplication; and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born. 11In that day shall there be a great mourning in Yerushalayim, as the mourning of Hadadrimon in the valley of Megidon. 12And the land shall mourn, every family apart, the family of Beit David apart, and their wives apart; the family of Beit Natan apart, and their wives apart; 13the family of Beit Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of HaShimi apart, and their wives apart; 14all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.”
אמַשָּׂא דְבַר יהוה עַל יִשְׂרָאֵל: נְאֻם יהוה נֹטֶה שָׁמַיִם וְיֹסֵד אָרֶץ וְיֹצֵר רוּחַ אָדָם בְּקִרְבּוֹ. בהִנֵּה אָנֹכִי שָׂם אֶת יְרוּשָׁלִַם סַף רַעַל לְכָל הָעַמִּים סָבִיב; וְגַם עַל יְהוּדָה יִהְיֶה בַמָּצוֹר עַל יְרוּשָׁלִָם. גוְהָיָה בַיּוֹם הַהוּא אָשִׂים אֶת יְרוּשָׁלִַם אֶבֶן מַעֲמָסָה לְכָל הָעַמִּים כָּל עֹמְסֶיהָ שָׂרוֹט יִשָּׂרֵטוּ; וְנֶאֶסְפוּ עָלֶיהָ כֹּל גּוֹיֵי הָאָרֶץ. דבַּיּוֹם הַהוּא נְאֻם יהוה אַכֶּה כָל סוּס בַּתִּמָּהוֹן וְרֹכְבוֹ בַּשִּׁגָּעוֹן; וְעַל בֵּית יְהוּדָה אֶפְקַח אֶת עֵינַי וְכֹל סוּס הָעַמִּים אַכֶּה בַּעִוָּרוֹן. הוְאָמְרוּ אַלֻּפֵי יְהוּדָה בְּלִבָּם: אַמְצָה לִי יֹשְׁבֵי יְרוּשָׁלִַם בַּיהוה צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵיהֶם. ובַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אָשִׂים אֶת אַלֻּפֵי יְהוּדָה כְּכִיּוֹר אֵשׁ בְּעֵצִים וּכְלַפִּיד אֵשׁ בְּעָמִיר וְאָכְלוּ עַל יָמִין וְעַל שְׂמֹאול אֶת כָּל הָעַמִּים סָבִיב; וְיָשְׁבָה יְרוּשָׁלִַם עוֹד תַּחְתֶּיהָ בִּירוּשָׁלִָם. זוְהוֹשִׁעַ יהוה אֶת אָהֳלֵי יְהוּדָה בָּרִאשֹׁנָה: לְמַעַן לֹא תִגְדַּל תִּפְאֶרֶת בֵּית דָּוִיד וְתִפְאֶרֶת יֹשֵׁב יְרוּשָׁלִַם עַל יְהוּדָה. חבַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יָגֵן יהוה בְּעַד יוֹשֵׁב יְרוּשָׁלִַם וְהָיָה הַנִּכְשָׁל בָּהֶם בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא כְּדָוִיד; וּבֵית דָּוִיד כֵּאלֹהִים כְּמַלְאַךְ יהוה לִפְנֵיהֶם. טוְהָיָה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא; אֲבַקֵּשׁ לְהַשְׁמִיד אֶת כָּל הַגּוֹיִם הַבָּאִים עַל יְרוּשָׁלִָם. יוְשָׁפַכְתִּי עַל בֵּית דָּוִיד וְעַל יוֹשֵׁב יְרוּשָׁלִַם רוּחַ חֵן וְתַחֲנוּנִים וְהִבִּיטוּ אֵלַי אֵת אֲשֶׁר דָּקָרוּ; וְסָפְדוּ עָלָיו כְּמִסְפֵּד עַל הַיָּחִיד וְהָמֵר עָלָיו כְּהָמֵר עַל הַבְּכוֹר. יאבַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יִגְדַּל הַמִּסְפֵּד בִּירוּשָׁלִַם כְּמִסְפַּד הֲדַדְרִמּוֹן בְּבִקְעַת מְגִדּוֹן. יבוְסָפְדָה הָאָרֶץ מִשְׁפָּחוֹת מִשְׁפָּחוֹת לְבָד: מִשְׁפַּחַת בֵּית דָּוִיד לְבָד וּנְשֵׁיהֶם לְבָד מִשְׁפַּחַת בֵּית נָתָן לְבָד וּנְשֵׁיהֶם לְבָד. יגמִשְׁפַּחַת בֵּית לֵוִי לְבָד וּנְשֵׁיהֶם לְבָד; מִשְׁפַּחַת הַשִּׁמְעִי לְבָד וּנְשֵׁיהֶם לְבָד. ידכֹּל הַמִּשְׁפָּחוֹת הַנִּשְׁאָרוֹת מִשְׁפָּחֹת מִשְׁפָּחֹת לְבָד; וּנְשֵׁיהֶם לְבָד.
