1And I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold four horns. 2And I said unto the Malakh that spoke with me, ”What are these?” And he said unto me, ”These are the horns which have scattered Yehudah, Yisra’el, and Yerushalayim.” 3And יהוה showed me four craftsmen. 4Then I said, ”What do these come to do?” And he spoke, saying, ”These, the horns which scattered Yehudah, so that no man did lift up his head, these then are come to frighten them, to cast down the horns of the nations, which lifted up their horn against the land of Yehudah to scatter it.” 5And I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand. 6Then said I, ”Where are you going?” And he said unto me, ”To measure Yerushalayim, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.” 7And, behold, the Malakh that spoke with me went forth, and another Malakh went out to meet him, 8and said unto him, ”Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Yerushalayim shall be inhabited without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein. 9For I, says יהוה , will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her’.”
10“Ho, ho, flee then from the land of the north, says יהוה ; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of heaven, says יהוה . Ho11, Tzion, escape, you that dwell with the daughter of Bavel. 12For thus says יהוה Tzeva’ot who sent me after glory unto the nations which spoiled you, ‘Surely, he that touches you touches the pupil of his eye. 13For, behold, I will shake My hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to those that served them’; and you shall know that יהוה Tzeva’ot has sent me.’ B’ha’alotkha 14‘Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Tzion; for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you,’ says יהוה . ‘And15 many nations shall join themselves to יהוה in that day, and shall be My people, and I will dwell in the midst of you’; and you shall know that יהוה Tzeva’ot has sent me unto you. 16And יהוה shall inherit Yehudah as His portion in Admat HaKodesh, and shall choose Yerushalayim again. 17Be silent, all flesh, before יהוה ; for He is aroused out of His consecrated habitation.
אוָאֶשָּׂא אֶת עֵינַי וָאֵרֶא; וְהִנֵּה אַרְבַּע קְרָנוֹת. בוָאֹמַר אֶל הַמַּלְאָךְ הַדֹּבֵר בִּי מָה אֵלֶּה; וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי אֵלֶּה הַקְּרָנוֹת אֲשֶׁר זֵרוּ אֶת יְהוּדָה אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל וִירוּשָׁלִָם. גוַיַּרְאֵנִי יהוה אַרְבָּעָה חָרָשִׁים. דוָאֹמַר מָה אֵלֶּה בָאִים לַעֲשׂוֹת; וַיֹּאמֶר לֵאמֹר אֵלֶּה הַקְּרָנוֹת אֲשֶׁר זֵרוּ אֶת יְהוּדָה כְּפִי אִישׁ לֹא נָשָׂא רֹאשׁוֹ וַיָּבֹאוּ אֵלֶּה לְהַחֲרִיד אֹתָם לְיַדּוֹת אֶת קַרְנוֹת הַגּוֹיִם הַנֹּשְׂאִים קֶרֶן אֶל אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה לְזָרוֹתָהּ. הוָאֶשָּׂא עֵינַי וָאֵרֶא וְהִנֵּה אִישׁ; וּבְיָדוֹ חֶבֶל מִדָּה. ווָאֹמַר אָנָה אַתָּה הֹלֵךְ; וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלַי לָמֹד אֶת יְרוּשָׁלִַם לִרְאוֹת כַּמָּה רָחְבָּהּ וְכַמָּה אָרְכָּהּ. זוְהִנֵּה הַמַּלְאָךְ הַדֹּבֵר בִּי יֹצֵא; וּמַלְאָךְ אַחֵר יֹצֵא לִקְרָאתוֹ. חוַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָו רֻץ דַּבֵּר אֶל הַנַּעַר הַלָּז לֵאמֹר: פְּרָזוֹת תֵּשֵׁב יְרוּשָׁלִַם מֵרֹב אָדָם וּבְהֵמָה בְּתוֹכָהּ. טוַאֲנִי אֶהְיֶה לָּהּ נְאֻם יהוה חוֹמַת אֵשׁ סָבִיב; וּלְכָבוֹד אֶהְיֶה בְתוֹכָהּ.
יהוֹי הוֹי וְנֻסוּ מֵאֶרֶץ צָפוֹן נְאֻם יהוה : כִּי כְּאַרְבַּע רוּחוֹת הַשָּׁמַיִם פֵּרַשְׂתִּי אֶתְכֶם נְאֻם יהוה . יאהוֹי צִיּוֹן הִמָּלְטִי יוֹשֶׁבֶת בַּת בָּבֶל. יבכִּי כֹה אָמַר יהוה צְבָאוֹת אַחַר כָּבוֹד שְׁלָחַנִי אֶל הַגּוֹיִם הַשֹּׁלְלִים אֶתְכֶם: כִּי הַנֹּגֵעַ בָּכֶם נֹגֵעַ בְּבָבַת עֵינוֹ. יגכִּי הִנְנִי מֵנִיף אֶת יָדִי עֲלֵיהֶם וְהָיוּ שָׁלָל לְעַבְדֵיהֶם; וִידַעְתֶּם כִּי יהוה צְבָאוֹת שְׁלָחָנִי. ידרָנִּי וְשִׂמְחִי בַּת צִיּוֹן כִּי הִנְנִי בָא וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְתוֹכֵךְ נְאֻם יהוה . טווְנִלְווּ גוֹיִם רַבִּים אֶל יהוה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא וְהָיוּ לִי לְעָם; וְשָׁכַנְתִּי בְתוֹכֵךְ וְיָדַעַתְּ כִּי יהוה צְבָאוֹת שְׁלָחַנִי אֵלָיִךְ. טזוְנָחַל יהוה אֶת יְהוּדָה חֶלְקוֹ עַל אַדְמַת הַקֹּדֶשׁ; וּבָחַר עוֹד בִּירוּשָׁלִָם. יזהַס כָּל בָּשָׂר מִפְּנֵי יהוה כִּי נֵעוֹר מִמְּעוֹן קָדְשׁוֹ.
