1I saw when HaSeh opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four creatures saying in a voice as of thunder, “Come and see.” 2And I looked and beheld a white horse, and he who sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given to him; and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. 3And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second creature say, “Come and see.” 4And there went out another horse, and it was red, and to him who sat on it was given power to take away shalom from the earth, that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword. 5And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third creature say, “Come and see.” And behold, I saw a black horse; and he
who sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6And I heard a voice in the midst of the four creatures say, “A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius; and see that you do not damage the oil and the wine.” 7And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth creature saying, “Come and see.” 8And I looked and beheld a pale horse; and the name of him who sat on him was Mavet, and She’ol followed after him.
