1I exhort the Z’kenim who are among you, for I also am a Zakan, and a witness of the sufferings of Mashi’akh, and a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed. 2Feed the flock of Elohim which is entrusted to your care, and shepherd them spiritually, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but with all your heart. 3Live not as overlords over the flock, but as good examples to them. 4And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that will not fade away.
5And you too, young people, submit yourselves to your Z’kenim; and clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for Elohim resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. 6Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of Elohim, that He may exalt you in due time, 7casting all your cares upon Elohim, for He cares for you.
8Be vigilant and be cautious, because HaSatan, like a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour. 9Rise up, therefore, against him, as you are steadfast in HaEmunah, knowing that your brethren who are in the world also suffer these same afflictions.
10But the Elohim of compassion, who has called us to His eternal glory by Yeshua HaMashi’akh, whom Elohim has given to us, will strengthen us to endure these little afflictions, that we may be made steadfast and remain in Him forever. 11To Him be glory, and dominion, and honor, forever and ever. Amein. 12By Silvanus, a faithful brother, I have written you these things briefly according to my account, exhorting and testifying that this is the true compassion of Elohim wherein you stand. 13The chosen congregation which is at Bavel, and Markos, my son, send you shalom. 14Greet one another with a consecrated kiss. Shalom Aleikhem to all who are in Mashi’akh. Amein.
