Kolosim 3 – איגרת שאול אל הקולוסים ג

t.o.c.

1If you then are risen with Mashi’akh, seek those things which are above, where Mashi’akh sits on the right hand of Elohim.  2Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth, 3for you are dead, and your life is hidden with Mashi’akh in Elohim.  4When Mashi’akh, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in glory.

5Mortify therefore your earthly members: immorality, uncleanness, intemperate desires, evil lusts, and covetousness; for these are idolatry, 6and it is because of these things that the wrath of Elohim comes on the children of disobedience.  7In the past you also lived among these things, and you were perverted by them.  8But now put off from you all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, foul conversation.   9Do not lie one to another, but put away the old man with all its practices; 10and put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the pattern in which it was originally created, 11where there is neither Yehudi nor Arami, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Greek nor barbarian, slave nor freeman; but Mashi’akh is all, and in all.

12Therefore as the elect of Elohim, consecrated and beloved, put on mercy, kindness, gentleness, humbleness of mind, meekness, patience; 13forbearing one another, and forgiving one another; and if anyone has a complaint against his fellow man, just as Mashi’akh forgave you, so should you also forgive.  14And with all these things have love, which is the bond of perfection.  15And let the shalom of Mashi’akh govern your hearts; to that end you are called in one body; and be thankful to Mashi’akh; 16and let His D’var dwell in you abundantly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in Mizmorim, Tishbakhot, and Shirot HaRu’akh, singing with grace in your hearts to Elohim.  17And whatever you do in word or deed, do it in the Name of Adoneinu Yeshua HaMashi’akh, giving thanks through Him to Elohim HaAv.

18Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as it is appropriate in Mashi’akh.  19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter toward them.  20Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to Adoneinu.  21Parents, do not provoke your children, that they may not be discouraged.  22Servants, obey your human masters in all things, not with eye-service, as hypocrites, but with a sincere heart, in reverence for  יהוה . And23  whatever you do, do it with your whole nefesh, as to Adoneinu and not to men, 24knowing that from Adoneinu you shall receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve  יהוה  HaMashi’akh.  25But the wrongdoer shall be rewarded according to the wrong which he has done; and there is no respect of persons.
