1Then Yeshua went to Har HaZetim. 2And in the morning He came again to the Heikhal, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3Then the Sofrim and the P’rushim brought a woman who was caught in adultery; and they made her to stand in the midst. 4They said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught openly in the act of adultery. 5Now in the Torah of Moshe it is commanded that women such as these should be stoned; but what do you say?” 6They said this to test Him, that they might have a cause to accuse Him. While Yeshua was bent down, He was writing on the ground. 7When they were through questioning Him, He straightened himself up and said to them, “He who is among you who is without sin, let him first throw a stone at her.” 8And again as He bent down, He wrote on the ground. 9And when they heard it, they left one by one, beginning with the elders; and the woman was left alone in the midst. 10When Yeshua straightened Himself up, He said to the woman, “Where are they? Did no man condemn you?” 11She said, “No man, Adon.” Then Yeshua said, “Neither do I condemn you; go away, and from henceforth, do not sin again.”
12Again Yeshua spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but He shall find for himself the light of life.” 13The P’rushim said to Him, “You testify concerning yourself; your testimony is not true.” 14Yeshua answered, saying to them, “Even though I testify concerning myself, my testimony is true, because I know from where I came and where I go; but you do not know from where I came or where I go. 15You judge according to the flesh; but I judge no man. 16And if I should judge, my judgment is true; because I am not doing it alone, but I and Avi who sent me. 17And it is written in your own Torah that the testimony of two men is true. 18I testify concerning myself, and Avi who sent me testifies concerning me.” 19They said to Him, “Where is Avikha?” Yeshua answered, saying to them, “You know neither me nor Avi; if you knew me, you would know Avi also.” 20These words He spoke in the treasury while He taught in the Heikhal; and no man arrested Him, for His time had not yet come.
21Yeshua again said to them, “I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins; and where I am going you cannot come.” 22The Y’hudim said, “What, will He kill himself? For He says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’” 23And He said to them, “You are from below, and I am from above; you are of this world, but I am not of this world. 24I told you that you will die in your sins; for unless you trust that I am He, you will die in your sins.” 25The Y’hudim said, “Who are you?” Yeshua said to them, “Even though I should begin to speak to you, 26I have many things to say and to judge concerning you; but He who sent me is true; and I speak in the world only those things which I have heard from Him.” 27They did not understand that He spoke to them concerning HaAv. 28Again Yeshua said to them, “When you have lifted up Ben HaAdam, then you will understand that I am He, and I do nothing of my own accord; but as Avi has taught me, so I speak just as He. 29And He who sent me is with me; and Avi has never left me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.” 30While He was speaking these words, a great many trusted in Him.
31Then Yeshua said to the Yehudim who trusted in Him, “If you abide by my word, you are truly my Talmidim. 32And you will know the truth, and that very truth will make you free.” 33They said to Him, “We are the offspring of Avraham, and we have never been enslaved to any man; how do you say, ‘You will be free people?’” 34Yeshua said to them, “Amein, Amein, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a servant of sin. 35And a servant does not remain in the house forever, but the son remains forever. 36If therefore HaBen shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. 37I know you are the descendants of Avraham; but still you want to kill me, because you have no room in you for my word. 38I speak what I have seen with Avi; and you do what you have seen with your father.”
39They answered, saying to Him, “Our own father is Avraham.” Yeshua said to them, “If you were the sons of Avraham, you would be doing the works of Avraham. 40But behold, now you want to kill me, even a man who has told you the truth which I heard from Elohim; this, Avraham did not do. 41But you do the works of your father.” They said to him, “We are not born of fornication; we have one Father: Elohim.” 42Yeshua said to them, “If Elohim were Avikhem, you would love me, for I proceeded forth and came out from Elohim; I did not come of my own accord, but He sent me. 43Why therefore do you not understand my word, because you cannot obey my word? 44You are from the father of accusation, and you want to do the lusts of your father, he who is a murderer of men from the very beginning and who never stands by the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks, he speaks his own lie, because he is a liar, and the father of lies. 45But because I speak the truth, you do not believe me.”
46“Which one of you can rebuke me because of sin? If I speak the truth, why do you not trust me? 47He who is of Elohim hears the words of Elohim; for this reason you do not hear, because you are not of Elohim.” 48The Y’hudim answered, saying to Him, “Did we not say well, that you are a Shomroni and that you have a demon?” 49Yeshua said to them, “I have no demon; but I honor Avi, and you curse me. 50I do not seek my glory; there is one who seeks and judges.”
51“Amein, Amein, I say to you, whoever obeys my word shall never see Mavet.” 52The Y’hudim said to Him, “Now we are sure that you have a demon. Avraham and the Nevi’im have died; and yet you say, ‘whoever obeys my word shall never taste death.’ 53What, are you greater than our father Avraham who died, and the Nevi’im who died? Whom do you make yourself to be?” 54Yeshua said to them, “If I honor myself, my honor is nothing; but it is Avi who honors me, the one of whom you say, ‘He is our Elohim.’ 55Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him; and if I should say I do not know Him, I would be a liar like yourselves; but I do know Him, and I obey His D’var. 56Your father Avraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it and was glad.” 57The Y’hudim said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and yet have you seen Avraham?” 58Yeshua said to them, “Amein, Amein, I say to you, before Avraham was born, I am He.” 59So they took up stones, to stone Him, and Yeshua hid Himself and went out of the Heikhal, and He passed through the midst of them and went away.
