1And He departed from there, and came to the border of Y’hudah at the crossing of the Yarden; and a great many people went to Him there, and He taught them again, as He was accustomed to do. 2And the P’rushim came to Him, testing Him and asking, “Does Torah permit for a man to forsake his wife?” 3He said to them, “What did Moshe command you?” 4They said, “Moshe gave us permission to write a sefer kritut, and then to send her away.” 5Yeshua answered, saying to them, “It was because of the hardness of your heart that he wrote for you this particular mitzvah. 6But from the very beginning Elohim made them male and female. 7For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and cleave to his wife. 8And both shall be one flesh; henceforth they are not two, but one flesh. 9What therefore Elohim has joined, let no man separate.” 10And His Talmidim again asked Him about this in the house. 11And He said to them, “Whoever sends away his wife and marries another commits adultery. 12And if a woman sends away her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”
13And they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but His Talmidim rebuked those who brought them. 14But when Yeshua saw it, He was displeased, and He said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me, and do not forbid them; for Malkhut HaElohim is for such as these. 15Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive Malkhut HaElohim like a little child shall not enter it.” 16Then He took them in His arms, and put His hand on them and blessed them.
17While He was on the way, a man came running and fell on his knees and asked Him, saying, “O good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit life eternal?” 18Yeshua said to him, “Why do you call me good? There is no one who is good except the one Elohim. 19You know the mitzvot? Do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not murder, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.” 20But he answered and said to him, “Teacher, all of these I have obeyed from my boyhood.” 21Then Yeshua looked at him and loved him, and He said to him, “You lack one thing; go, sell everything you have and give it to the poor, and you shall have a treasure in Heaven; and take up your stake, and follow me.” 22But he felt sad because of this saying, and he went away depressed; for he had great wealth. 23Then Yeshua looked at His Talmidim and said to them, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter into Malkhut HaElohim!” 24But the Talmidim were surprised at his words. And Yeshua answered again, saying to them, “My sons, how hard it is for those who trust in their wealth to enter into Malkhut HaElohim! 25It is easier for a rope to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into Malkhut HaElohim.” 26But they were the more astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?” 27Yeshua looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but not with Elohim; for everything is possible with Elohim.” 28Then Kefa began to say, “Behold, we have left everything and followed you.” 29Yeshua answered and said, “Truly I say to you, there is no man who leaves houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of my B’sorah, 30who shall not receive now, in this time, a hundredfold, houses and brothers and sisters and maidservants and children and fields and other worldly things, and in the world to come, Khayei Olam. 31Many who are first shall be last, and the last, first.”
32While they were going up on their way to Yerushalayim, Yeshua was ahead of them; and they were amazed; and they followed Him with fear. And He took His twelve aside, and began to tell them what was surely to happen to Him, saying, 33“Behold, we are going up to Yerushalayim, and Ben HaAdam will be delivered to the chief Kohanim and the Sofrim, and they will condemn Him to death and deliver him to the goyim. 34And they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit in His face, and kill Him; and on the third day He will rise up.” 35And Ya’akov and Yokhanan, the sons of Zavdai, came up to Him and said to Him, “Teacher, we wish you would do for us whatever we ask.” 36He said to them, “What do you wish me to do for you?” 37They said to Him, “Grant us to sit, one at your right and one at your left, in your Kavod.” 38He said to them, “You do not know what you are asking; can you drink the cup which I drink and be immersed with the immersion with which I am to be immersed?” 39They said to Him, “We can.” Yeshua said to them, “The cup which I shall drink, you too will drink; and with the immersion with which I am immersed, you will be immersed also; 40but to sit at my right and at my left is not mine to give; except to those for whom it is prepared.” 41When the ten heard it, they began to murmur at Ya’akov and Yokhanan. 42Yeshua called them and said to them, “You know that those who consider themselves princes of the people are also their lords; and their officials rule over them. 43Let not this be so among you; but he who wishes to be great among you, let him minister to you. 44And anyone of you who wishes to be first, let him be a servant to all. 45For Ben HaAdam also did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life as a ransom for the sake of many.”
46And they came to Yerekho; and when Yeshua went out of Yerekho with His Talmidim and a large crowd, a blind man, Timae’us Bar Timae’us, sat by the roadside begging. 47When he heard that it was Yeshua HaNatzri, he began to cry aloud and say, “O Ben David, have mercy on me.” 48And many rebuked him and told him to keep quiet, but he cried out the more, saying, “O Ben David, have mercy on me.” 49Then Yeshua stopped and commanded to call him. So they called the blind man, and said to him, “Have courage, rise; He is calling you.” 50And the blind man threw off his robe and got up and went to Yeshua. 51Yeshua said to him, “What do you wish me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabbi, that I may see.” 52And Yeshua said to him, “Go; your absolute trust has given you life.” And immediately he saw, and went on his way.
