1And they reached the port on the other side of the sea in the country of the Gadri’im. 2And as He went out of the boat, He was met by a man from the cemetery who had an unclean spirit. 3He lived in the cemetery, and no man could bind him in chains, 4because whenever he was bound with fetters and chains, he broke the chains and cut the fetters, and no man could control him. 5And always, night and day, he was in the cemetery and in the mountains, crying aloud and cutting himself with stones. 6When he saw Yeshua from afar, he ran and worshipped Him, 7and he cried with a loud voice, saying, “What have I to do with You, Yeshua Ben El Elyon? I adjure you by Elohim not to torment me.” 8For He said to him, “Get out of the man, O you unclean spirit.” 9And Yeshua asked him, “What is your name?” And he said to Him, “Our name is Legion, because we are many.” 10And he begged Him eagerly that He would not send him out of the country. 11Now there was near the mountain a large herd of swine feeding. 12And the demons begged Him saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may attack them.” 13And He permitted them. And the demons went out and attacked the swine; and the herd ran to the steep rocks, and fell into the sea; they were about two thousand, and they were drowned in the water. 14And those who fed them fled, and told it in the city and also in the villages. So they went out to see what had happened. 15And they came to Yeshua, and saw the one who was possessed, clothed and well behaved, and sitting down quietly, even the one who once had the legion within him; and they were afraid. 16And those who saw it told them just what happened to the one possessed and also to the swine. 17So they began to urge Him to leave their borders. 18As He went up to the boat, the one who was possessed begged Him to remain with him. 19And He would not permit him, but said to him, “Go to your home, to your own people, and tell them what יהוה has done for you, and that He has had mercy on you.” 20And he went away, and began to declare in the ten cities about what Yeshua had done for him; and they were all astonished.
21When Yeshua crossed in the boat to the other side, large crowds again gathered around Him while He was by the sea. 22And there came one of the leaders of the Beit K’nesset whose name was Yo’arash, and when he saw Him, he fell at His feet, 23and he besought Him earnestly and said to Him, “My daughter is very seriously ill; come and lay your hand on her, and she will be healed, and live.” 24So Yeshua went with him, and a large multitude followed Him, and they pressed about Him. 25And there was a woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years, 26who had suffered much at the hands of many doctors, and had spent everything she had and was not helped at all, but rather became worse. 27When she heard about Yeshua, she came through the press of the crowd from behind Him, and touched His cloak; 28for she said, “If I can only touch his cloak, I shall live.” 29And immediately the hemorrhage was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. 30Yeshua instantly knew that some power had gone out of Him, so He turned around to the people and said, “Who touched my garments?” 31His Talmidim said to Him, “You see the people pressing against you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me?’” 32And He was looking round to see who had done this. 33But the woman, frightened and trembling because she knew what had happened to her, came and fell before Him and told Him the whole truth. 34He said to her, “My daughter, your Emunah has healed you; go in shalom and be healed of your disease.” 35While He was still talking, some men came from the house of the leader of the Beit K’nesset, saying, “Your daughter is dead; why do you trouble the Teacher?” 36Yeshua heard the word which they spoke, and He said to the leader of the Beit K’nesset, “Fear not, only trust.” 37And He did not permit any man to go with Him, except Shimon Kefa, Ya’akov, and Yokhanan the brother of Ya’akov. 38And they came to the house of the leader of the Beit K’nesset, and Yeshua saw them in a tumult, weeping and wailing. 39So He entered and said to them, “Why are you troubled and crying? The little girl is not dead, but she is asleep.” 40And they laughed at Him. But Yeshua put them all out, and took the little girl’s father and mother and those who were with him, and he entered where the little girl was laid. 41And He took the little girl by her hand, and said to her, “Little girl, arise!” 42And immediately the little girl got up and walked; for she was twelve years old. And they were astonished with great amazement. 43But He commanded them that no man should know this; and He told them to give her something to eat.
