1Then Yeshua was carried away by The Ru’akh HaKodesh into the wilderness, to be tempted by the false accuser. 2So He fasted forty days and forty nights; but at last He was hungry. 3And the tempter drew near and said to Him, “If you are Ben HaElohim, tell these stones to become bread.” 4But He answered and said, “It is written, that it is not by bread alone that man can live, but by every word which comes from the mouth of Elohim.” 5Then HaSatan took Him to the consecrated city, and he made Him to stand up on the corner of the Heikhal. 6And he said to Him, “If you are Ben HaElohim, throw yourself down; for it is written, “He will command His Malakhim concerning You, and they will bear You up on their hands, so that even Your foot may not strike a stone.” 7Yeshua said to him, “Again it is written that you shall not test יהוה your Elohim.” 8Again HaSatan took Him to a very high mountain, and he showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9And he said to Him, “All of these I will give to you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10Then Yeshua said to him, “Go away, HaSatan, for it is written, ‘You shall worship יהוה your Elohim, and Him only shall you serve’.” 11Then HaSatan left Him alone; and behold, the messengers drew near and ministered unto Him.
12Now when Yeshua heard that Yokhanan was delivered up, He departed to the Galil. 13And He left Natzrat, and came and settled in K’far Nakhum, by the seaside, within the borders of Zevulun and of Naftali. 14So that it might be fulfilled, which was said by Yesha-Yahu HaNavi, who said, 15“O land of Zevulun, O land of Naftali, the way to the sea, across the Yarden, the Galil of the Goyim! 16The people who dwelt in darkness saw a great light, and those who settled in the country and in the midst of Tzal-Mavet, light has shone on them.”
17From that time Yeshua began to proclaim and to say, “Repent, for Malkhut HaShamayim is coming near.” 18And while He was walking by the shore of the sea of the Galil, he saw two brothers, Shimon, who was called Kefa, and his brother Andrai, who were casting nets into the sea, for they were fishermen. 19And Yeshua said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.” 20So they immediately left their nets and went after Him. 21And when He left that place He saw two other brothers, Ya’akov the son of Zavdai and his brother Yokhanan, in a ship with Zavdai their father, repairing their nets; and Yeshua called them. 22So they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed Him.
23And Yeshua travelled throughout the Galil, teaching in their Beit K’nessets, and declaring B’soraht HaMalkhut, and healing every kind of disease and sickness among the people. 24And His fame was heard throughout Surya; so they brought to Him all who were badly afflicted with diverse sickness, and those who were tormented with pains, and the insane, and possessed of demons, and the cripples; and He healed them. 25So large crowds followed Him from the Galil, and from the ten cities, and from Yerushalayim and from Y’hudah, and from across the Yarden.
