Tehillah 10 –

1Why do You stand far off, O  יהוה ? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?

2Through the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued, they are taken in the  devices  that they have imagined.

3For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire, and the covetous vaunts himself, though he shows  יהוה  contempt.

4The wicked, in the pride of his countenance [says], “He will not require”; all his thoughts are, “There is no Elohim.”

5His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are far above, out of his sight; as for all his adversaries, he puffs at them.

6He says in his heart, “I shall not be moved; I, who to all generations shall not be in adversity.”

7His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.

8He sits in the lurking-places of the villages; in secret places does he slay the innocent; his eyes are on the watch for the helpless.

9He lies in wait in a secret place as a lion in his lair, he lies in wait to catch the poor; he does catch the poor, when he draws him up in his net.

10He crouches, he bows down, and the helpless fall into his mighty claws.

11He has said in his heart, “Elohim has forgotten; He hides His face; He will never see.”

12Arise, O  יהוה ; O God, lift up Your hand; forget not the humble.

13Why does the wicked show contempt for Elohim, and say in his heart, “You will not require”?

14You have seen; for You behold trouble and vexation, to requite them with Your hand; unto You the helpless commits himself; You have been the helper of the fatherless.

15Break the arm of the wicked; and as for the evil man, search out his wickedness, till none is found.

16 יהוה  is Melekh forever and ever; the nations are perished out of His land.

17 יהוה , You have heard the desire of the humble: You will direct their heart, You will cause Your ear to attend;

18To right the fatherless and the oppressed, that man, who is of the earth, may be terrible no more.
