Tehillah 106 – תהלה קו

¹Hallelu Yah! O give thanks unto  יהוה ; for He is good; for His compassion endures forever.

²Who can express the mighty acts of  יהוה , or make all His praise to be heard?

³Happy are they that keep justice, that do tzedaka at all times.

⁴Remember me, O  יהוה , when You favor Your people; O think of me at Your Salvation;

⁵That I may behold the prosperity of Your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance.

⁶We have sinned with our fathers, we have done iniquitously, we have dealt wickedly.

⁷Our fathers in Mitzrayim gave no heed unto Your wonders; they remembered not the multitude of Your compassions; but were rebellious at the sea, even at Yam Suf.

⁸Nevertheless, He saved them for His Name’s sake, that He might make His mighty power to be known.

⁹And He rebuked Yam Suf, and it was dried up; and He led them through the depths, as through a wilderness.

¹⁰And He saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

¹¹And the waters covered their adversaries; there was not one of them left.

¹²Then they believed His D’varim; they sang His praise.

¹³They soon forgot His works; they waited not for His counsel;

¹⁴But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tried God in the desert.

¹⁵And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

¹⁶They were jealous also of Moshe in the camp, and of Aharon, the Kadosh one of  יהוה .

¹⁷The earth opened and swallowed up Datan, and covered the company of Aviram.

¹⁸And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.

¹⁹They made a calf in Khorev, and worshipped a molten image.

²⁰Thus they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox that eats grass.

²¹They forgot Elohim their Moshi’ah, who had done great things in Mitzrayim;

²²Wondrous works in the land of Kham, terrible things by Yam Suf.

²³Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moshe His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn back His wrath, lest He should destroy them.

²⁴Moreover, they scorned the desirable land,  they believed not His D’var;

²⁵And they murmured in their tents, they hearkened not unto the voice of  יהוה .

²⁶Therefore He swore concerning them, that He would overthrow them in the wilderness;

²⁷And that He would cast out their seed among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.

²⁸They joined themselves also unto Ba’al of Pe’or, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

²⁹Thus they provoked Him with their doings, and the plague broke in upon them.

³⁰Then stood up Pin’khas, and wrought judgment, and so the plague was stayed.

³¹And that was counted unto him for tzedaka, unto all generations forever.

³²They angered Him also at the waters of Merivah, and it went ill with Moshe because of them;

³³For they embittered his spirit, and he spoke rashly with his lips.

³⁴They did not destroy the peoples, as  יהוה  commanded them;

³⁵But mingled themselves with the nations, and learned their works;

³⁶And they served their idols, which became a snare unto them;

³⁷Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto demons,

³⁸And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Kena’an; and the land was polluted with blood.

³⁹Thus were they defiled with their works, and went astray in their doings.

⁴⁰Therefore was the wrath of  יהוה  kindled against His people, and He abhorred His inheritance.

⁴¹And He gave them into the hand of the nations; and they that hated them ruled over them.

⁴²Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.

⁴³Many times did He deliver them; but they were rebellious in their counsel, and sank low through their iniquity.

⁴⁴Nevertheless He looked upon their distress, when He heard their cry;

⁴⁵And He remembered for them His Brit, and relented according to the multitude of His compassions.

⁴⁶He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captive.

⁴⁷Save us, O  יהוה  our Elohim, and gather us from among the nations, that we may give thanks unto Your consecrated Name, that we may triumph in Your praise.

⁴⁸Blessed is  יהוה  Elohei Yisra’el, from everlasting even to everlasting, and let all the people say, “Amein.”  Hallelu Yah!

^אהַלְלוּ יה : הוֹדוּ לַיהוה כִּי טוֹב כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ.

^במִי יְמַלֵּל גְּבוּרוֹת יהוה ; יַשְׁמִיעַ כָּל תְּהִלָּתוֹ.

^גאַשְׁרֵי שֹׁמְרֵי מִשְׁפָּט; עֹשֵׂה צְדָקָה בְכָל עֵת.

^דזָכְרֵנִי יהוה בִּרְצוֹן עַמֶּךָ; פָּקְדֵנִי בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ.

^הלִרְאוֹת בְּטוֹבַת בְּחִירֶיךָ לִשְׂמֹחַ בְּשִׂמְחַת גּוֹיֶךָ;

^וחָטָאנוּ עִם אֲבוֹתֵינוּ; הֶעֱוִינוּ הִרְשָׁעְנוּ.

^זאֲבוֹתֵינוּ בְמִצְרַיִם לֹא הִשְׂכִּילוּ נִפְלְאוֹתֶיךָ לֹא זָכְרוּ אֶת רֹב חֲסָדֶיךָ; וַיַּמְרוּ עַל יָם בְּיַם סוּף.

^חוַיּוֹשִׁיעֵם לְמַעַן שְׁמוֹ לְהוֹדִיעַ אֶת גְּבוּרָתוֹ.

^טוַיִּגְעַר בְּיַם סוּף וַיֶּחֱרָב; וַיּוֹלִיכֵם בַּתְּהֹמוֹת כַּמִּדְבָּר.

^יוַיּוֹשִׁיעֵם מִיַּד שׂוֹנֵא; וַיִּגְאָלֵם מִיַּד אוֹיֵב.

^יאוַיְכַסּוּ מַיִם צָרֵיהֶם; אֶחָד מֵהֶם לֹא נוֹתָר.

^יבוַיַּאֲמִינוּ בִדְבָרָיו; יָשִׁירוּ תְּהִלָּתוֹ.

^יגמִהֲרוּ שָׁכְחוּ מַעֲשָׂיו; לֹא חִכּוּ לַעֲצָתוֹ.

^ידוַיִּתְאַוּוּ תַאֲוָה בַּמִּדְבָּר; וַיְנַסּוּ אֵל בִּישִׁימוֹן.

^טווַיִּתֵּן לָהֶם שֶׁאֱלָתָם; וַיְשַׁלַּח רָזוֹן בְּנַפְשָׁם.

^טזוַיְקַנְאוּ לְמֹשֶׁה בַּמַּחֲנֶה; לְאַהֲרֹן קְדוֹשׁ יהוה .

^יזתִּפְתַּח אֶרֶץ וַתִּבְלַע דָּתָן; וַתְּכַס עַל עֲדַת אֲבִירָם.

^יחוַתִּבְעַר אֵשׁ בַּעֲדָתָם; לֶהָבָה תְּלַהֵט רְשָׁעִים.

^יטיַעֲשׂוּ עֵגֶל בְּחֹרֵב; וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְמַסֵּכָה.

^כוַיָּמִירוּ אֶת כְּבוֹדָם; בְּתַבְנִית שׁוֹר אֹכֵל עֵשֶׂב.

^כאשָׁכְחוּ אֵל מוֹשִׁיעָם עֹשֶׂה גְדֹלוֹת בְּמִצְרָיִם.

^כבנִפְלָאוֹת בְּאֶרֶץ חָם; נוֹרָאוֹת עַל יַם סוּף.

^כגוַיֹּאמֶר לְהַשְׁמִידָם: לוּלֵי מֹשֶׁה בְחִירוֹ עָמַד בַּפֶּרֶץ לְפָנָיו; לְהָשִׁיב חֲמָתוֹ מֵהַשְׁחִית.

^כדוַיִּמְאֲסוּ בְּאֶרֶץ חֶמְדָּה; לֹא הֶאֱמִינוּ לִדְבָרוֹ.

^כהוַיֵּרָגְנוּ בְאָהֳלֵיהֶם; לֹא שָׁמְעוּ בְּקוֹל יהוה .

^כווַיִּשָּׂא יָדוֹ לָהֶם לְהַפִּיל אוֹתָם בַּמִּדְבָּר.

^כזוּלְהַפִּיל זַרְעָם בַּגּוֹיִם; וּלְזָרוֹתָם בָּאֲרָצוֹת.

^כחוַיִּצָּמְדוּ לְבַעַל פְּעוֹר; וַיֹּאכְלוּ זִבְחֵי מֵתִים.

^כטוַיַּכְעִיסוּ בְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶם; וַתִּפְרָץ בָּם מַגֵּפָה.

^לוַיַּעֲמֹד פִּינְחָס וַיְפַלֵּל; וַתֵּעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָה.

^לאוַתֵּחָשֶׁב לוֹ לִצְדָקָה; לְדֹר וָדֹר עַד עוֹלָם.

^לבוַיַּקְצִיפוּ עַל מֵי מְרִיבָה; וַיֵּרַע לְמֹשֶׁה בַּעֲבוּרָם.

^לגכִּי הִמְרוּ אֶת רוּחוֹ; וַיְבַטֵּא בִּשְׂפָתָיו.

^לדלֹא הִשְׁמִידוּ אֶת הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר אָמַר יהוה לָהֶם.

^להוַיִּתְעָרְבוּ בַגּוֹיִם; וַיִּלְמְדוּ מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם.

^לווַיַּעַבְדוּ אֶת עֲצַבֵּיהֶם; וַיִּהְיוּ לָהֶם לְמוֹקֵשׁ.

^לזוַיִּזְבְּחוּ אֶת בְּנֵיהֶם וְאֶת בְּנוֹתֵיהֶם לַשֵּׁדִים.

^לחוַיִּשְׁפְּכוּ דָם נָקִי דַּם בְּנֵיהֶם וּבְנוֹתֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר זִבְּחוּ לַעֲצַבֵּי כְנָעַן; וַתֶּחֱנַף הָאָרֶץ בַּדָּמִים.

^לטוַיִּטְמְאוּ בְמַעֲשֵׂיהֶם; וַיִּזְנוּ בְּמַעַלְלֵיהֶם.

^מוַיִּחַר אַף יהוה בְּעַמּוֹ; וַיְתָעֵב אֶת נַחֲלָתוֹ.

^מאוַיִּתְּנֵם בְּיַד גּוֹיִם; וַיִּמְשְׁלוּ בָהֶם שֹׂנְאֵיהֶם.

^מבוַיִּלְחָצוּם אוֹיְבֵיהֶם; וַיִּכָּנְעוּ תַּחַת יָדָם.

^מגפְּעָמִים רַבּוֹת יַצִּילֵם: וְהֵמָּה יַמְרוּ בַעֲצָתָם; וַיָּמֹכּוּ בַּעֲו‍ֹנָם.

^מדוַיַּרְא בַּצַּר לָהֶם בְּשָׁמְעוֹ אֶת רִנָּתָם.

^מהוַיִּזְכֹּר לָהֶם בְּרִיתוֹ; וַיִּנָּחֵם כְּרֹב חֲסָדָו.

^מווַיִּתֵּן אוֹתָם לְרַחֲמִים לִפְנֵי כָּל שׁוֹבֵיהֶם.

^מזהוֹשִׁיעֵנוּ יהוה אֱלֹהֵינוּ וְקַבְּצֵנוּ מִן הַגּוֹיִם: לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם קָדְשֶׁךָ; לְהִשְׁתַּבֵּחַ בִּתְהִלָּתֶךָ.

^מחבָּרוּךְ יהוה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל מִן הָעוֹלָם וְעַד הָעוֹלָם וְאָמַר כָּל הָעָם אָמֵן: הַלְלוּ יה !
