1For the Leader. By David. In יהוה have I taken refuge; how do you say to my soul, “Flee! To your mountain, you birds!”?
2For, lo, the wicked bend the bow, they have made ready their arrow upon the string, that they may shoot in darkness at the upright in heart.
3When the foundations are destroyed, O, Tzadik, what a wonder?
4 יהוה is in His Heikhal Kadosh, יהוה , His throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids try the children of men.
5 יהוה tries a Tzadik; but the wicked and him that loves violence His soul hates.
6Upon the wicked He will cause to rain coals; fire and brimstone and burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.
7For יהוה is a Tzadik, He loves righteous acts; the upright shall behold His face.
אלַמְנַצֵּחַ לְדָוִד: בַּיהוה חָסִיתִי אֵיךְ תֹּאמְרוּ לְנַפְשִׁי; נודו (נוּדִי) הַרְכֶם צִפּוֹר.
בכִּי הִנֵּה הָרְשָׁעִים יִדְרְכוּן קֶשֶׁת כּוֹנְנוּ חִצָּם עַל יֶתֶר לִירוֹת בְּמוֹ אֹפֶל לְיִשְׁרֵי לֵב.
גכִּי הַשָּׁתוֹת יֵהָרֵסוּן צַדִּיק מַה פָּעָל.
ד יהוה בְּהֵיכַל קָדְשׁוֹ יהוה בַּשָּׁמַיִם כִּסְאוֹ: עֵינָיו יֶחֱזוּ עַפְעַפָּיו יִבְחֲנוּ בְּנֵי אָדָם.
ה יהוה צַדִּיק יִבְחָן: וְרָשָׁע וְאֹהֵב חָמָס שָׂנְאָה נַפְשׁוֹ.
ויַמְטֵר עַל רְשָׁעִים פַּחִים: אֵשׁ וְגָפְרִית וְרוּחַ זִלְעָפוֹת מְנָת כּוֹסָם.
זכִּי צַדִּיק יהוה צְדָקוֹת אָהֵב; יָשָׁר יֶחֱזוּ פָנֵימוֹ.
