1When Yisra’el came forth out of Mitzrayim, Beit Ya’akov from a people of strange language;
2Yehudah became His kodesh, Yisra’el His dominion.
3The sea saw it, and fled; the Yarden turned backward.
4The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like young sheep.
5What ails you, O you sea, that you flee? O Yarden, that you turn backward?
6You mountains, that you skip like rams; you hills, like young sheep?
7Tremble, O earth, at the presence of Adon, at the presence of the Elohim of Ya’akov;
8Who turned the Rock into a pool of water, the flint into His fountain of waters.
