Tehillah 116 – תהלה קטז – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹I love that יהוה should hear my voice and my supplications.

²Because He has inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him all my days.

³The cords of Mavet encompassed me, and the straits of She’ol got hold upon me; I found trouble and sorrow.

⁴But I called upon the Name of יהוה , “I beseech you, O יהוה , deliver my soul.”

⁵Gracious is יהוה , and a Tzadik; yes, our Elohim is a merciful one.

⁶ יהוה preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me.

⁷Return, O my soul, unto your rest; for יהוה has dealt bountifully with you.

⁸For You have delivered my soul from Mavet, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling.

⁹I shall walk before יהוה in the lands of the living.

¹⁰I trusted even when I spoke, “I am greatly afflicted.”

¹¹I said in my haste, “All men are liars.”

¹²How can I repay unto יהוה all His bountiful dealings toward me?

¹³I will lift up the cup of Salvations, and call upon the Name of יהוה .

¹⁴My vows will I pay unto יהוה , yes, in the presence of all His people.

¹⁵Precious in the sight of יהוה is the death of His Khasidim.

¹⁶I beseech You, O יהוה , for I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bands.

¹⁷I will offer to you the Zevakh Todah, and will call upon the Name of יהוה .

¹⁸I will pay my vows unto יהוה , yes, in the presence of all His people;

¹⁹In the courts of Beit יהוה , in the midst of you, O Yerushalayim. Hallelu Yah!

^אאָהַבְתִּי כִּי יִשְׁמַע יהוה אֶת קוֹלִי תַּחֲנוּנָי.

^בכִּי הִטָּה אָזְנוֹ לִי; וּבְיָמַי אֶקְרָא.

^גאֲפָפוּנִי חֶבְלֵי מָוֶת וּמְצָרֵי שְׁאוֹל מְצָאוּנִי; צָרָה וְיָגוֹן אֶמְצָא.

^דוּבְשֵׁם יהוה אֶקְרָא: אָנָּה יהוה מַלְּטָה נַפְשִׁי.

^החַנּוּן יהוה וְצַדִּיק; וֵאלֹהֵינוּ מְרַחֵם.

^ושֹׁמֵר פְּתָאיִם יהוה ; דַּלֹּתִי וְלִי יְהוֹשִׁיעַ.

^זשׁוּבִי נַפְשִׁי לִמְנוּחָיְכִי: כִּי יהוה גָּמַל עָלָיְכִי.

^חכִּי חִלַּצְתָּ נַפְשִׁי מִמָּוֶת: אֶת עֵינִי מִן דִּמְעָה; אֶת רַגְלִי מִדֶּחִי.

^טאֶתְהַלֵּךְ לִפְנֵי יהוה בְּאַרְצוֹת הַחַיִּים.

^יהֶאֱמַנְתִּי כִּי אֲדַבֵּר; אֲנִי עָנִיתִי מְאֹד.

^יאאֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי בְחָפְזִי: כָּל הָאָדָם כֹּזֵב.

^יבמָה אָשִׁיב לַיהוה כָּל תַּגְמוּלוֹהִי עָלָי.

^יגכּוֹס יְשׁוּעוֹת אֶשָּׂא; וּבְשֵׁם יהוה אֶקְרָא.

^ידנְדָרַי לַיהוה אֲשַׁלֵּם; נֶגְדָה נָּא לְכָל עַמּוֹ.

^טויָקָר בְּעֵינֵי יהוה הַמָּוְתָה לַחֲסִידָיו.

^טזאָנָּה יהוה כִּי אֲנִי עַבְדֶּךָ: אֲנִי עַבְדְּךָ בֶּן אֲמָתֶךָ; פִּתַּחְתָּ לְמוֹסֵרָי.

^יזלְךָ אֶזְבַּח זֶבַח תּוֹדָה; וּבְשֵׁם יהוה אֶקְרָא.

^יחנְדָרַי לַיהוה אֲשַׁלֵּם; נֶגְדָה נָּא לְכָל עַמּוֹ.

^יטבְּחַצְרוֹת בֵּית יהוה בְּתוֹכֵכִי יְרוּשָׁלִָם: הַלְלוּ יה !
