1Shir HaMa’alot; by David. I rejoiced when they said unto me, “Let us go unto Beit יהוה .”
2Our feet are standing within your gates, O Yerushalayim;
3Yerushalayim, that is built as a city that is compact together;
4Where the tribes went up, even the tribes of יהוה , as a testimony unto Yisra’el, to give thanks unto the Name of יהוה .
5For there were set thrones for judgment, the thrones of Beit David.
6Pray for the shalom of Yerushalayim; may they prosper that love you.
7May Shalom be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.
8For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, “Shalom be within you.”
9For the sake of Beit יהוה our Elohim I will seek your good.
אשִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת לְדָוִד: שָׂמַחְתִּי בְּאֹמְרִים לִי בֵּית יהוה נֵלֵךְ.
בעֹמְדוֹת הָיוּ רַגְלֵינוּ בִּשְׁעָרַיִךְ יְרוּשָׁלִָם.
גיְרוּשָׁלִַם הַבְּנוּיָה כְּעִיר שֶׁחֻבְּרָה לָּהּ יַחְדָּו.
דשֶׁשָּׁם עָלוּ שְׁבָטִים שִׁבְטֵי יה עֵדוּת לְיִשְׂרָאֵל: לְהֹדוֹת לְשֵׁם יהוה .
הכִּי שָׁמָּה יָשְׁבוּ כִסְאוֹת לְמִשְׁפָּט: כִּסְאוֹת לְבֵית דָּוִד.
ושַׁאֲלוּ שְׁלוֹם יְרוּשָׁלִָם; יִשְׁלָיוּ אֹהֲבָיִךְ.
זיְהִי שָׁלוֹם בְּחֵילֵךְ; שַׁלְוָה בְּאַרְמְנוֹתָיִךְ.
חלְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּךְ.
טלְמַעַן בֵּית יהוה אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֲבַקְשָׁה טוֹב לָךְ.
