Tehillah 132 – תהלה קלב – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹Shir HaMa’alot. יהוה , remember for David all his affliction;

²How he swore unto יהוה , and vowed unto the Mighty One of Ya’akov:

³“Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into the bed that is spread for me;

⁴I will not give sleep to my eyes, nor slumber to my eyelids;

⁵Until I find out a place for יהוה , a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Ya’akov.”

⁶Lo, we heard of it as being in Efrat; we found it in the field of the wood.

⁷Let us go into His Mishkan; let us worship at His footstool.

⁸Arise, O יהוה , unto Your resting-place; You, and the Aron of Your strength.

⁹Let Your Kohanim be clothed with righteousness; and let Your Khasidim shout for joy.

¹⁰For Your servant David’s sake, turn not away the face of Your Mashi’akh.

¹¹ יהוה swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: “Of the fruit of your body will I set upon your throne.

¹²If your children keep My Brit and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also forever shall sit upon your throne.”

¹³For יהוה has chosen Tzion; He has desired it for His habitation:

¹⁴“This is My resting-place forever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

¹⁵I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty.

¹⁶Her Kohanim also will I clothe with Salvation; and her Khasidim shall shout aloud for joy.

¹⁷There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, there have I ordered a lamp for My Mashi’akh.

¹⁸His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown shine.”

^אשִׁיר הַמַּעֲלוֹת: זְכוֹר יהוה לְדָוִד אֵת כָּל עֻנּוֹתוֹ.

^באֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּע לַיהוה ; נָדַר לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב.

^גאִם אָבֹא בְּאֹהֶל בֵּיתִי; אִם אֶעֱלֶה עַל עֶרֶשׂ יְצוּעָי.

^דאִם אֶתֵּן שְׁנַת לְעֵינָי; לְעַפְעַפַּי תְּנוּמָה.

^העַד אֶמְצָא מָקוֹם לַיהוה ; מִשְׁכָּנוֹת לַאֲבִיר יַעֲקֹב.

^והִנֵּה שְׁמַעֲנוּהָ בְאֶפְרָתָה; מְצָאנוּהָ בִּשְׂדֵי יָעַר.

^זנָבוֹאָה לְמִשְׁכְּנוֹתָיו; נִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לַהֲדֹם רַגְלָיו.

^חקוּמָה יהוה לִמְנוּחָתֶךָ: אַתָּה וַאֲרוֹן עֻזֶּךָ.

^טכֹּהֲנֶיךָ יִלְבְּשׁוּ צֶדֶק; וַחֲסִידֶיךָ יְרַנֵּנוּ.

^יבַּעֲבוּר דָּוִד עַבְדֶּךָ אַל תָּשֵׁב פְּנֵי מְשִׁיחֶךָ.

^יאנִשְׁבַּע יהוה לְדָוִד אֱמֶת לֹא יָשׁוּב מִמֶּנָּה: מִפְּרִי בִטְנְךָ אָשִׁית לְכִסֵּא לָךְ.

^יבאִם יִשְׁמְרוּ בָנֶיךָ בְּרִיתִי וְעֵדֹתִי זוֹ אֲלַמְּדֵם: גַּם בְּנֵיהֶם עֲדֵי עַד יֵשְׁבוּ לְכִסֵּא לָךְ.

^יגכִּי בָחַר יהוה בְּצִיּוֹן; אִוָּהּ לְמוֹשָׁב לוֹ.

^ידזֹאת מְנוּחָתִי עֲדֵי עַד: פֹּה אֵשֵׁב כִּי אִוִּתִיהָ.

^טוצֵידָהּ בָּרֵךְ אֲבָרֵךְ; אֶבְיוֹנֶיהָ אַשְׂבִּיעַ לָחֶם.

^טזוְכֹהֲנֶיהָ אַלְבִּישׁ יֶשַׁע; וַחֲסִידֶיהָ רַנֵּן יְרַנֵּנוּ.

^יזשָׁם אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְדָוִד; עָרַכְתִּי נֵר לִמְשִׁיחִי.

^יחאוֹיְבָיו אַלְבִּישׁ בֹּשֶׁת; וְעָלָיו יָצִיץ נִזְרוֹ.
