Tehillah 135 – תהלה קלה – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹Hallelu Yah! Praise the Name of יהוה ; give praise, O you servants of יהוה ,

²You that stand in Beit יהוה , in the courts of Beit Eloheinu.

³Praise יהוה , for יהוה is good; sing praises unto His Name, for it is pleasant.

⁴For יהוה has chosen Ya’akov unto Himself, and Yisra’el for His own treasure.

⁵For I know that יהוה is great, and that our Adonai is above all gods.

⁶Whatsoever יהוה pleased, that has He done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;

⁷Who causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightnings for the rain; He brings forth the wind out of His treasuries.

⁸Who smote the first-born of Mitzrayim, both of man and beast.

⁹He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Mitzrayim, upon Paroh, and upon all his servants.

¹⁰Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings:

¹¹Sikhon Melekh HaEmori, and Og Melekh Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Kena’an;

¹²And gave their land for a heritage, a heritage unto Yisra’el His people.

¹³O יהוה , Your Name endures forever; your memorial, O יהוה , throughout all generations.

¹⁴For יהוה will judge His people, and relent for His servants.

¹⁵The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

¹⁶They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

¹⁷They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

¹⁸They that make them shall be like unto them; yes, every one that trusts in them.

¹⁹O Beit Yisra’el, bless יהוה ; O Beit Aharon, bless יהוה ;

²⁰O Beit Levi, bless יהוה ; you that fear יהוה , bless יהוה .

²¹Blessed is יהוה out of Tzion, who dwells in Yerushalayim. Hallelu Yah!

^אהַלְלוּ יה : הַלְלוּ אֶת שֵׁם יהוה ; הַלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יהוה .

^בשֶׁעֹמְדִים בְּבֵית יהוה בְּחַצְרוֹת בֵּית אֱלֹהֵינוּ.

^גהַלְלוּ יה כִּי טוֹב יהוה ; זַמְּרוּ לִשְׁמוֹ כִּי נָעִים.

^דכִּי יַעֲקֹב בָּחַר לוֹ יה ; יִשְׂרָאֵל לִסְגֻלָּתוֹ.

^הכִּי אֲנִי יָדַעְתִּי כִּי גָדוֹל יהוה ; וַאֲדֹנֵינוּ מִכָּל אֱלֹהִים.

^וכֹּל אֲשֶׁר חָפֵץ יהוה עָשָׂה: בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ בַּיַּמִּים וְכָל תְּהֹמוֹת.

^זמַעֲלֶה נְשִׂאִים מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ: בְּרָקִים לַמָּטָר עָשָׂה; מוֹצֵא רוּחַ מֵאוֹצְרוֹתָיו.

^חשֶׁהִכָּה בְּכוֹרֵי מִצְרָיִם מֵאָדָם עַד בְּהֵמָה.

^טשָׁלַח אוֹתֹת וּמֹפְתִים בְּתוֹכֵכִי מִצְרָיִם: בְּפַרְעֹה וּבְכָל עֲבָדָיו.

^ישֶׁהִכָּה גּוֹיִם רַבִּים; וְהָרַג מְלָכִים עֲצוּמִים.

^יאלְסִיחוֹן מֶלֶךְ הָאֱמֹרִי וּלְעוֹג מֶלֶךְ הַבָּשָׁן; וּלְכֹל מַמְלְכוֹת כְּנָעַן.

^יבוְנָתַן אַרְצָם נַחֲלָה נַחֲלָה לְיִשְׂרָאֵל עַמּוֹ.

^יג יהוה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם; יהוה זִכְרְךָ לְדֹר וָדֹר.

^ידכִּי יָדִין יהוה עַמּוֹ; וְעַל עֲבָדָיו יִתְנֶחָם.

^טועֲצַבֵּי הַגּוֹיִם כֶּסֶף וְזָהָב; מַעֲשֵׂה יְדֵי אָדָם.

^טזפֶּה לָהֶם וְלֹא יְדַבֵּרוּ; עֵינַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יִרְאוּ.

^יזאָזְנַיִם לָהֶם וְלֹא יַאֲזִינוּ; אַף אֵין יֶשׁ רוּחַ בְּפִיהֶם.

^יחכְּמוֹהֶם יִהְיוּ עֹשֵׂיהֶם כֹּל אֲשֶׁר בֹּטֵחַ בָּהֶם.

^יטבֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּרְכוּ אֶת יהוה ; בֵּית אַהֲרֹן בָּרְכוּ אֶת יהוה .

^כבֵּית הַלֵּוִי בָּרְכוּ אֶת יהוה ; יִרְאֵי יהוה בָּרְכוּ אֶת יהוה .

^כאבָּרוּךְ יהוה מִצִּיּוֹן שֹׁכֵן יְרוּשָׁלִָם: הַלְלוּ יה !
