1A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave; a Tefilah.
2With my voice I cry unto יהוה ; with my voice I make supplication unto יהוה .
3I pour out my complaint before Him, I declare before Him my trouble;
4When my spirit faints within me; You know my path; in the way wherein I walk have they hidden a snare for me.
5Look on my right hand, and see, for there is no man that knows me; I have no way to flee; no man cares for my soul.
6I have cried unto You, O יהוה ; I have said, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
7Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low; deliver me from my persecutors; for they are too strong for me.
8Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks unto Your Name; the Tzadikim shall crown themselves because of me; for You will deal bountifully with me.
אמַשְׂכִּיל לְדָוִד; בִּהְיוֹתוֹ בַמְּעָרָה תְפִלָּה.
בקוֹלִי אֶל יהוה אֶזְעָק; קוֹלִי אֶל יהוה אֶתְחַנָּן.
גאֶשְׁפֹּךְ לְפָנָיו שִׂיחִי; צָרָתִי לְפָנָיו אַגִּיד.
דבְּהִתְעַטֵּף עָלַי רוּחִי וְאַתָּה יָדַעְתָּ נְתִיבָתִי: בְּאֹרַח זוּ אֲהַלֵּךְ טָמְנוּ פַח לִי.
ההַבֵּיט יָמִין וּרְאֵה וְאֵין לִי מַכִּיר: אָבַד מָנוֹס מִמֶּנִּי; אֵין דּוֹרֵשׁ לְנַפְשִׁי.
וזָעַקְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ יהוה : אָמַרְתִּי אַתָּה מַחְסִי; חֶלְקִי בְּאֶרֶץ הַחַיִּים.
זהַקְשִׁיבָה אֶל רִנָּתִי כִּי דַלּוֹתִי מְאֹד: הַצִּילֵנִי מֵרֹדְפַי כִּי אָמְצוּ מִמֶּנִּי.
חהוֹצִיאָה מִמַּסְגֵּר נַפְשִׁי לְהוֹדוֹת אֶת שְׁמֶךָ: בִּי יַכְתִּרוּ צַדִּיקִים כִּי תִגְמֹל עָלָי.
