1For the Leader, by David, the servant of יהוה , who spoke unto יהוה the words of this song in the day that יהוה delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Sha’ul;
2And he said: I love You, O יהוה , my strength.
3 יהוה is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in Him I take refuge; my shield, and my horn of Salvation, my high tower.
4Praised, I cry, is יהוה , and I am saved from my enemies.
5The cords of Mavet encompassed me, and the floods of Bliya’al assailed me.
6The cords of She’ol surrounded me; the snares of Mavet confronted me.
7In my distress I called upon יהוה , and cried unto my Elohim; out of His Heikhal He heard my voice, and my cry came before Him unto His ears.
8Then the earth did shake and quake, the foundations also of the mountains did tremble; they were shaken, because He was wroth.
9Smoke arose up in His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth did devour; coals flamed forth from Him.
10He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under His feet.
11And He rode upon a keruv, and flew; yes, He did swoop down upon the wings of the wind.
12He made darkness His hiding-place, His sukka round about Him; darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
13At the brightness before Him, there passed through His thick clouds hailstones and coals of fire.
14 יהוה also thundered in the heavens, and Elyon gave forth His voice; hailstones and coals of fire.
15And He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; and He shot forth lightnings, and discomfited them.
16And the channels of waters appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid bare, at Your rebuke, O יהוה , at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
17He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.
18He delivered me from my enemy most strong, and from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.
19They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but יהוה was a stay unto me.
20He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.
21 יהוה rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands has He recompensed me.
22For I have kept the ways of יהוה , and have not wickedly departed from my Elohim.
23For all His ordinances were before me, and I put not away His statutes from me.
24And I was single-hearted with Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.
25Therefore has יהוה recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.
26With the Khasid You show Yourself compassionate, with the upright man You show Yourself upright;
27With the pure You show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You show Yourself subtle.
28For You save the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes You humble.
29For You light my lamp; יהוה my Elohim lightens my darkness.
30For by You I run upon a troop; and by my Elohim do I scale a wall.
31As for God, His way is perfect; the word of יהוה is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in Him.
32For who is Elo’ah, save יהוה ? And who is a Rock, except our Elohim?
33The God that girds me with strength, and makes my way straight;
34Who makes my feet like hinds’, and sets me upon my high places;
35Who trains my hands for war, so that my arms do bend a bow of brass.
36You have also given me Your shield of Salvation, and Your right hand has held me up; and Your gentleness has made me great.
37You have enlarged my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.
38I have pursued my enemies, and overtaken them; neither did I turn back till they were consumed.
39I have smitten them through, so that they are not able to rise; they are fallen under my feet.
40For You have girded me with strength unto the battle; You have subdued under me those that rose up against me.
41You have also made my enemies turn their backs unto me, and I did cut off them that hate me.
42They cried, but there was none to save; even unto יהוה , but He answered them not.
43Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
44You have delivered me from the contentions of the people; You have made me the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.
45As soon as they hear of me, they obey me; the sons of the stranger dwindle away before me.
46The sons of the stranger fade away, and come trembling out of their close places.
47 יהוה lives, and blessed is my Rock; and exalted be the Elohim of my Salvation;
48Even the God that executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.
49He delivers me from my enemies; yes, You lift me up above them that rise up against me; You deliver me from the violent man.
50Therefore I will give thanks unto You, O יהוה , among the nations, and will sing praises unto Your Name.
51Great Salvations does He give to His king; and shows compassion to His Mashi’akh, to David and to his seed, for evermore.
אלַמְנַצֵּחַ לְעֶבֶד יהוה לְדָוִד: אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר לַיהוה אֶת דִּבְרֵי הַשִּׁירָה הַזֹּאת בְּיוֹם הִצִּיל יהוה אוֹתוֹ מִכַּף כָּל אֹיְבָיו וּמִיַּד שָׁאוּל.
בוַיֹּאמַר אֶרְחָמְךָ יהוה חִזְקִי.
ג יהוה סַלְעִי וּמְצוּדָתִי וּמְפַלְטִי: אֵלִי צוּרִי אֶחֱסֶה בּוֹ; מָגִנִּי וְקֶרֶן יִשְׁעִי מִשְׂגַּבִּי.
דמְהֻלָּל אֶקְרָא יהוה ; וּמִן אֹיְבַי אִוָּשֵׁעַ.
האֲפָפוּנִי חֶבְלֵי מָוֶת; וְנַחֲלֵי בְלִיַּעַל יְבַעֲתוּנִי.
וחֶבְלֵי שְׁאוֹל סְבָבוּנִי; קִדְּמוּנִי מוֹקְשֵׁי מָוֶת.
זבַּצַּר לִי אֶקְרָא יהוה וְאֶל אֱלֹהַי אֲשַׁוֵּעַ: יִשְׁמַע מֵהֵיכָלוֹ קוֹלִי; וְשַׁוְעָתִי לְפָנָיו תָּבוֹא בְאָזְנָיו.
חוַתִּגְעַשׁ וַתִּרְעַשׁ הָאָרֶץ וּמוֹסְדֵי הָרִים יִרְגָּזוּ; וַיִּתְגָּעֲשׁוּ כִּי חָרָה לוֹ.
טעָלָה עָשָׁן בְּאַפּוֹ וְאֵשׁ מִפִּיו תֹּאכֵל; גֶּחָלִים בָּעֲרוּ מִמֶּנּוּ.
יוַיֵּט שָׁמַיִם וַיֵּרַד; וַעֲרָפֶל תַּחַת רַגְלָיו.
יאוַיִּרְכַּב עַל כְּרוּב וַיָּעֹף; וַיֵּדֶא עַל כַּנְפֵי רוּחַ.
יביָשֶׁת חֹשֶׁךְ סִתְרוֹ סְבִיבוֹתָיו סֻכָּתוֹ; חֶשְׁכַת מַיִם עָבֵי שְׁחָקִים.
יגמִנֹּגַהּ נֶגְדּוֹ: עָבָיו עָבְרוּ בָּרָד וְגַחֲלֵי אֵשׁ.
ידוַיַּרְעֵם בַּשָּׁמַיִם יהוה וְעֶלְיוֹן יִתֵּן קֹלוֹ; בָּרָד וְגַחֲלֵי אֵשׁ.
טווַיִּשְׁלַח חִצָּיו וַיְפִיצֵם; וּבְרָקִים רָב וַיְהֻמֵּם.
טזוַיֵּרָאוּ אֲפִיקֵי מַיִם וַיִּגָּלוּ מוֹסְדוֹת תֵּבֵל: מִגַּעֲרָתְךָ יהוה מִנִּשְׁמַת רוּחַ אַפֶּךָ.
יזיִשְׁלַח מִמָּרוֹם יִקָּחֵנִי; יַמְשֵׁנִי מִמַּיִם רַבִּים.
יחיַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבִי עָז; וּמִשֹּׂנְאַי כִּי אָמְצוּ מִמֶּנִּי.
יטיְקַדְּמוּנִי בְיוֹם אֵידִי; וַיְהִי יהוה לְמִשְׁעָן לִי.
כוַיּוֹצִיאֵנִי לַמֶּרְחָב; יְחַלְּצֵנִי כִּי חָפֵץ בִּי.
כאיִגְמְלֵנִי יהוה כְּצִדְקִי; כְּבֹר יָדַי יָשִׁיב לִי.
כבכִּי שָׁמַרְתִּי דַּרְכֵי יהוה ; וְלֹא רָשַׁעְתִּי מֵאֱלֹהָי.
כגכִּי כָל מִשְׁפָּטָיו לְנֶגְדִּי; וְחֻקֹּתָיו לֹא אָסִיר מֶנִּי.
כדוָאֱהִי תָמִים עִמּוֹ; וָאֶשְׁתַּמֵּר מֵעֲוֹנִי.
כהוַיָּשֶׁב יהוה לִי כְצִדְקִי; כְּבֹר יָדַי לְנֶגֶד עֵינָיו.
כועִם חָסִיד תִּתְחַסָּד; עִם גְּבַר תָּמִים תִּתַּמָּם.
כזעִם נָבָר תִּתְבָּרָר; וְעִם עִקֵּשׁ תִּתְפַּתָּל.
כחכִּי אַתָּה עַם עָנִי תוֹשִׁיעַ; וְעֵינַיִם רָמוֹת תַּשְׁפִּיל.
כטכִּי אַתָּה תָּאִיר נֵרִי; יהוה אֱלֹהַי יַגִּיהַּ חָשְׁכִּי.
לכִּי בְךָ אָרֻץ גְּדוּד; וּבֵאלֹהַי אֲדַלֶּג שׁוּר.
לאהָאֵל תָּמִים דַּרְכּוֹ: אִמְרַת יהוה צְרוּפָה; מָגֵן הוּא לְכֹל הַחֹסִים בּוֹ.
לבכִּי מִי אֱלוֹהַּ מִבַּלְעֲדֵי יהוה ; וּמִי צוּר זוּלָתִי אֱלֹהֵינוּ.
לגהָאֵל הַמְאַזְּרֵנִי חָיִל; וַיִּתֵּן תָּמִים דַּרְכִּי.
לדמְשַׁוֶּה רַגְלַי כָּאַיָּלוֹת; וְעַל בָּמֹתַי יַעֲמִידֵנִי.
להמְלַמֵּד יָדַי לַמִּלְחָמָה; וְנִחֲתָה קֶשֶׁת נְחוּשָׁה זְרוֹעֹתָי.
לווַתִּתֶּן לִי מָגֵן יִשְׁעֶךָ: וִימִינְךָ תִסְעָדֵנִי; וְעַנְוַתְךָ תַרְבֵּנִי.
לזתַּרְחִיב צַעֲדִי תַחְתָּי; וְלֹא מָעֲדוּ קַרְסֻלָּי.
לחאֶרְדּוֹף אוֹיְבַי וְאַשִּׂיגֵם; וְלֹא אָשׁוּב עַד כַּלּוֹתָם.
לטאֶמְחָצֵם וְלֹא יֻכְלוּ קוּם; יִפְּלוּ תַּחַת רַגְלָי.
מוַתְּאַזְּרֵנִי חַיִל לַמִּלְחָמָה; תַּכְרִיעַ קָמַי תַּחְתָּי.
מאוְאֹיְבַי נָתַתָּה לִּי עֹרֶף; וּמְשַׂנְאַי אַצְמִיתֵם.
מביְשַׁוְּעוּ וְאֵין מוֹשִׁיעַ; עַל יהוה וְלֹא עָנָם.
מגוְאֶשְׁחָקֵם כְּעָפָר עַל פְּנֵי רוּחַ; כְּטִיט חוּצוֹת אֲרִיקֵם.
מדתְּפַלְּטֵנִי מֵרִיבֵי עָם: תְּשִׂימֵנִי לְרֹאשׁ גּוֹיִם; עַם לֹא יָדַעְתִּי יַעַבְדוּנִי.
מהלְשֵׁמַע אֹזֶן יִשָּׁמְעוּ לִי; בְּנֵי נֵכָר יְכַחֲשׁוּ לִי.
מובְּנֵי נֵכָר יִבֹּלוּ; וְיַחְרְגוּ מִמִּסְגְּרוֹתֵיהֶם.
מזחַי יהוה וּבָרוּךְ צוּרִי; וְיָרוּם אֱלוֹהֵי יִשְׁעִי.
מחהָאֵל הַנּוֹתֵן נְקָמוֹת לִי; וַיַּדְבֵּר עַמִּים תַּחְתָּי.
מטמְפַלְּטִי מֵאֹיְבָי: אַף מִן קָמַי תְּרוֹמְמֵנִי; מֵאִישׁ חָמָס תַּצִּילֵנִי.
נעַל כֵּן אוֹדְךָ בַגּוֹיִם יהוה ; וּלְשִׁמְךָ אֲזַמֵּרָה.
נאמַגְדִּל יְשׁוּעוֹת מַלְכּוֹ: וְעֹשֶׂה חֶסֶד לִמְשִׁיחוֹ לְדָוִד וּלְזַרְעוֹ; עַד עוֹלָם.
