Tehillah 21 – תהלה כא – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹For the Leader. A Mizmor of David.

²O יהוה , in Your strength the Melekh rejoices; and in Your Salvation, how greatly does he exult!

³You have given him his heart’s desire, and the request of his lips You have not withheld. Selah.

⁴For You meet him with choicest blessings; You set a crown of fine gold on his head.

⁵He asked life of You, You gave it to him; even length of days forever and ever.

⁶His glory is great through Your Salvation; honor and majesty do You lay upon him.

⁷For You make him most blessed forever; You make him glad with joy in Your presence.

⁸For HaMelekh trusts in יהוה , yes, in the compassion of Elyon; he shall not be moved.

⁹Your hand shall be equal to all your enemies; your right hand shall overtake those that hate you.

¹⁰You shall make them as a fiery furnace in the time of your anger; יהוה shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

¹¹Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

¹²For they intended evil against you, they imagined a device, wherewith they shall not prevail.

¹³For you shall make them turn their back, you shall make ready with your bowstrings against the face of them.

¹⁴Be exalted, O יהוה , in Your strength; so will we sing and praise Your power.

^אלַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד.

^ב יהוה בְּעָזְּךָ יִשְׂמַח מֶלֶךְ; וּבִישׁוּעָתְךָ מַה יגיל (יָּגֶל) מְאֹד.

^גתַּאֲוַת לִבּוֹ נָתַתָּה לּוֹ; וַאֲרֶשֶׁת שְׂפָתָיו בַּל מָנַעְתָּ סֶּלָה.

^דכִּי תְקַדְּמֶנּוּ בִּרְכוֹת טוֹב; תָּשִׁית לְרֹאשׁוֹ עֲטֶרֶת פָּז.

^החַיִּים שָׁאַל מִמְּךָ נָתַתָּה לּוֹ; אֹרֶךְ יָמִים עוֹלָם וָעֶד.

^וגָּדוֹל כְּבוֹדוֹ בִּישׁוּעָתֶךָ; הוֹד וְהָדָר תְּשַׁוֶּה עָלָיו.

^זכִּי תְשִׁיתֵהוּ בְרָכוֹת לָעַד; תְּחַדֵּהוּ בְשִׂמְחָה אֶת פָּנֶיךָ.

^חכִּי הַמֶּלֶךְ בֹּטֵחַ בַּיהוה ; וּבְחֶסֶד עֶלְיוֹן בַּל יִמּוֹט.

^טתִּמְצָא יָדְךָ לְכָל אֹיְבֶיךָ; יְמִינְךָ תִּמְצָא שֹׂנְאֶיךָ.

^יתְּשִׁיתֵמוֹ כְּתַנּוּר אֵשׁ לְעֵת פָּנֶיךָ: יהוה בְּאַפּוֹ יְבַלְּעֵם; וְתֹאכְלֵם אֵשׁ.

^יאפִּרְיָמוֹ מֵאֶרֶץ תְּאַבֵּד; וְזַרְעָם מִבְּנֵי אָדָם.

^יבכִּי נָטוּ עָלֶיךָ רָעָה; חָשְׁבוּ מְזִמָּה בַּל יוּכָלוּ.

^יגכִּי תְּשִׁיתֵמוֹ שֶׁכֶם; בְּמֵיתָרֶיךָ תְּכוֹנֵן עַל פְּנֵיהֶם.

^ידרוּמָה יהוה בְּעֻזֶּךָ; נָשִׁירָה וּנְזַמְּרָה גְּבוּרָתֶךָ.
