1A Mizmor of David. Strive, O יהוה , with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me.
2Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise up to my help.
3Draw out also the spear, and the battle-axe, against them that pursue me; say unto my soul, “I am your Salvation.”
4Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and be abashed that devise my hurt.
5Let them be as chaff before the wind, Malakh יהוה thrusting them.
6Let their way be dark and slippery, Malakh יהוה pursuing them.
7For without cause have they hidden for me the pit, even their net, without cause have they digged for my soul.
8Let destruction come upon him unawares; and let his net that he has hidden catch himself; with destruction let him fall therein.
9And my soul shall be joyful in יהוה ; it shall rejoice in His Salvation.
10All my bones shall say, ” יהוה , who is like unto You, who delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him that spoils him?”
11Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not.
12They repay me evil for good; bereavement is come to my soul.
13But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I afflicted my soul with fasting; and my prayer, may it return into my own bosom.
14I went about as though it had been my friend or my brother; I bowed down mournful, as one that mourns for his mother.
15But when I halt they rejoice, and gather themselves together; the abjects gather themselves together against me, and those whom I know not; they tear me, and cease not;
16With the profanest mockeries of backbiting they gnash at me with their teeth.
17Adonai, how long will You look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my only one from the lions.
18I will give You thanks in the great congregation; I will praise You among a numerous people.
19Let not them that are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
20For they speak not shalom; but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.
21Yes, they open their mouth wide against me; they say, “Aha, aha, our eye has seen it.”
22You have seen, O יהוה ; keep not silence; O Adonai, be not far from me.
23Rouse Yourself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my Elohim and Adonai.
24Judge me, O יהוה my Elohim, according to Your righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
25Let them not say in their heart, “Aha, we have our desire”; let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.”
26Let them be ashamed and abashed together that rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and confusion that magnify themselves against me.
27Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that delight in my righteousness; yes, let them say continually, “Magnified is יהוה , who delights in the shalom of His servant.”
28And my tongue shall speak of Your Tzedaka, and of Your praise all the day.
אלְדָוִד: רִיבָה יהוה אֶת יְרִיבַי; לְחַם אֶת לֹחֲמָי.
בהַחֲזֵק מָגֵן וְצִנָּה; וְקוּמָה בְּעֶזְרָתִי.
גוְהָרֵק חֲנִית וּסְגֹר לִקְרַאת רֹדְפָי; אֱמֹר לְנַפְשִׁי יְשֻׁעָתֵךְ אָנִי.
דיֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִכָּלְמוּ מְבַקְשֵׁי נַפְשִׁי: יִסֹּגוּ אָחוֹר וְיַחְפְּרוּ חֹשְׁבֵי רָעָתִי.
היִהְיוּ כְּמֹץ לִפְנֵי רוּחַ; וּמַלְאַךְ יהוה דּוֹחֶה.
ויְהִי דַרְכָּם חֹשֶׁךְ וַחֲלַקְלַקֹּת; וּמַלְאַךְ יהוה רֹדְפָם.
זכִּי חִנָּם טָמְנוּ לִי שַׁחַת רִשְׁתָּם; חִנָּם חָפְרוּ לְנַפְשִׁי.
חתְּבוֹאֵהוּ שׁוֹאָה לֹא יֵדָע: וְרִשְׁתּוֹ אֲשֶׁר טָמַן תִּלְכְּדוֹ; בְּשׁוֹאָה יִפָּל בָּהּ.
טוְנַפְשִׁי תָּגִיל בַּיהוה ; תָּשִׂישׂ בִּישׁוּעָתוֹ.
יכָּל עַצְמוֹתַי תֹּאמַרְנָה יהוה מִי כָמוֹךָ: מַצִּיל עָנִי מֵחָזָק מִמֶּנּוּ; וְעָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן מִגֹּזְלוֹ.
יאיְקוּמוּן עֵדֵי חָמָס: אֲשֶׁר לֹא יָדַעְתִּי יִשְׁאָלוּנִי.
יביְשַׁלְּמוּנִי רָעָה תַּחַת טוֹבָה: שְׁכוֹל לְנַפְשִׁי.
יגוַאֲנִי בַּחֲלוֹתָם לְבוּשִׁי שָׂק עִנֵּיתִי בַצּוֹם נַפְשִׁי; וּתְפִלָּתִי עַל חֵיקִי תָשׁוּב.
ידכְּרֵעַ כְּאָח לִי הִתְהַלָּכְתִּי; כַּאֲבֶל אֵם קֹדֵר שַׁחוֹתִי.
טווּבְצַלְעִי שָׂמְחוּ וְנֶאֱסָפוּ: נֶאֶסְפוּ עָלַי נֵכִים וְלֹא יָדַעְתִּי; קָרְעוּ וְלֹא דָמּוּ.
טזבְּחַנְפֵי לַעֲגֵי מָעוֹג חָרֹק עָלַי שִׁנֵּימוֹ.
יזאֲדֹנָי כַּמָּה תִּרְאֶה: הָשִׁיבָה נַפְשִׁי מִשֹּׁאֵיהֶם; מִכְּפִירִים יְחִידָתִי.
יחאוֹדְךָ בְּקָהָל רָב; בְּעַם עָצוּם אֲהַלְלֶךָּ.
יטאַל יִשְׂמְחוּ לִי אֹיְבַי שֶׁקֶר; שֹׂנְאַי חִנָּם יִקְרְצוּ עָיִן.
ככִּי לֹא שָׁלוֹם יְדַבֵּרוּ: וְעַל רִגְעֵי אֶרֶץ דִּבְרֵי מִרְמוֹת יַחֲשֹׁבוּן.
כאוַיַּרְחִיבוּ עָלַי פִּיהֶם: אָמְרוּ הֶאָח הֶאָח; רָאֲתָה עֵינֵנוּ.
כברָאִיתָה יהוה אַל תֶּחֱרַשׁ; אֲדֹנָי אַל תִּרְחַק מִמֶּנִּי.
כגהָעִירָה וְהָקִיצָה לְמִשְׁפָּטִי; אֱלֹהַי וַאדֹנָי לְרִיבִי.
כדשָׁפְטֵנִי כְצִדְקְךָ יהוה אֱלֹהָי; וְאַל יִשְׂמְחוּ לִי.
כהאַל יֹאמְרוּ בְלִבָּם הֶאָח נַפְשֵׁנוּ; אַל יֹאמְרוּ בִּלַּעֲנוּהוּ.
כויֵבֹשׁוּ וְיַחְפְּרוּ יַחְדָּו שְׂמֵחֵי רָעָתִי: יִלְבְּשׁוּ בֹשֶׁת וּכְלִמָּה הַמַּגְדִּילִים עָלָי.
כזיָרֹנּוּ וְיִשְׂמְחוּ חֲפֵצֵי צִדְקִי: וְיֹאמְרוּ תָמִיד יִגְדַּל יהוה ; הֶחָפֵץ שְׁלוֹם עַבְדּוֹ.
כחוּלְשׁוֹנִי תֶּהְגֶּה צִדְקֶךָ; כָּל הַיּוֹם תְּהִלָּתֶךָ.
