1By David. Fret not yourself because of evil-doers, neither be envious against them that work iniquity.
2For they shall soon wither like the grass, and fade as the green herb.
3Trust in יהוה , and do good; dwell in the land, and cherish faithfulness.
4So shall you delight yourself in יהוה ; and He shall give you the petitions of your heart.
5Commit your way unto יהוה ; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.
6And He will make your righteousness to go forth as the light, and your right as the noonday.
7Resign yourself unto יהוה , and wait patiently for Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.
8Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not yourself, it tends only to evil-doing.
9For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait for יהוה , they shall inherit the earth.
10And yet a little while, and there will be no more wicked; yes, you shall look well at his place, and he will not exist.
11But the humble shall inherit the earth, and delight themselves in the abundance of shalom.
12The wicked plots against HaTzadik, and gnashes at him with his teeth.
13Adonai does laugh at him; for He sees that his day is coming.
14The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow; to cast down the poor and needy, to slay such as are upright in HaDerekh;
15Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
16Better is a little that HaTzadik has than the abundance of many wicked.
17For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but יהוה upholds the Tzadikim.
18 יהוה knows the days of them that are wholehearted; and their inheritance shall be forever.
19They shall not be ashamed in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
20For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of יהוה shall be as the fat of lambs; they shall pass away in smoke, they shall pass away.
21The wicked borrows, and pays not; but a Tzadik deals graciously, and gives.
22For such as are blessed of Him shall inherit the earth; and they that are cursed of Him shall be cut off.
23It is of יהוה that a man’s goings are established; and He delighted in his way.
24Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down; for יהוה upholds his hand.
25I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen a Tzadik forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.
26All the day long he deals graciously, and lends; and his seed is blessed.
27Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
28For יהוה loves justice, and forsakes not His Khasidim; they are preserved forever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The Tzadikim shall inherit the earth, and dwell therein forever.
30The mouth of a Tzadik utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.
31The Torah of his Elohim is in his heart; none of his steps slide.
32The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to slay him.
33 יהוה will not leave him in his hand, nor suffer him to be condemned when he is judged.
34Wait for יהוה , and keep His Derekh, and He will exalt you to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.
35I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like an evergreen tree in its native soil.
36But one passed by, and, lo, he was not; yes, I sought him, but he could not be found.
37Mark the man of integrity, and behold the upright; for there is a future for the man of shalom.
38But transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
39But the Salvation of the Tzadikim is from יהוה ; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.
40And יהוה helps them, and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked, and saves them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
אלְדָוִד: אַל תִּתְחַר בַּמְּרֵעִים; אַל תְּקַנֵּא בְּעֹשֵׂי עַוְלָה.
בכִּי כֶחָצִיר מְהֵרָה יִמָּלוּ; וּכְיֶרֶק דֶּשֶׁא יִבּוֹלוּן.
גבְּטַח בַּיהוה וַעֲשֵׂה טוֹב; שְׁכָן אֶרֶץ וּרְעֵה אֱמוּנָה.
דוְהִתְעַנַּג עַל יהוה ; וְיִתֶּן לְךָ מִשְׁאֲלֹת לִבֶּךָ.
הגּוֹל עַל יהוה דַּרְכֶּךָ; וּבְטַח עָלָיו וְהוּא יַעֲשֶׂה.
ווְהוֹצִיא כָאוֹר צִדְקֶךָ; וּמִשְׁפָּטֶךָ כַּצָּהֳרָיִם.
זדּוֹם לַיהוה וְהִתְחוֹלֵל לוֹ: אַל תִּתְחַר בְּמַצְלִיחַ דַּרְכּוֹ; בְּאִישׁ עֹשֶׂה מְזִמּוֹת.
חהֶרֶף מֵאַף וַעֲזֹב חֵמָה; אַל תִּתְחַר אַךְ לְהָרֵעַ.
טכִּי מְרֵעִים יִכָּרֵתוּן; וְקֹוֵי יהוה הֵמָּה יִירְשׁוּ אָרֶץ.
יוְעוֹד מְעַט וְאֵין רָשָׁע; וְהִתְבּוֹנַנְתָּ עַל מְקוֹמוֹ וְאֵינֶנּוּ.
יאוַעֲנָוִים יִירְשׁוּ אָרֶץ; וְהִתְעַנְּגוּ עַל רֹב שָׁלוֹם.
יבזֹמֵם רָשָׁע לַצַּדִּיק; וְחֹרֵק עָלָיו שִׁנָּיו.
יגאֲדֹנָי יִשְׂחַק לוֹ: כִּי רָאָה כִּי יָבֹא יוֹמוֹ.
ידחֶרֶב פָּתְחוּ רְשָׁעִים וְדָרְכוּ קַשְׁתָּם: לְהַפִּיל עָנִי וְאֶבְיוֹן; לִטְבוֹחַ יִשְׁרֵי דָרֶךְ.
טוחַרְבָּם תָּבוֹא בְלִבָּם; וְקַשְּׁתוֹתָם תִּשָּׁבַרְנָה.
טזטוֹב מְעַט לַצַּדִּיק מֵהֲמוֹן רְשָׁעִים רַבִּים.
יזכִּי זְרוֹעוֹת רְשָׁעִים תִּשָּׁבַרְנָה; וְסוֹמֵךְ צַדִּיקִים יהוה .
יחיוֹדֵעַ יהוה יְמֵי תְמִימִם; וְנַחֲלָתָם לְעוֹלָם תִּהְיֶה.
יטלֹא יֵבֹשׁוּ בְּעֵת רָעָה; וּבִימֵי רְעָבוֹן יִשְׂבָּעוּ.
ככִּי רְשָׁעִים יֹאבֵדוּ וְאֹיְבֵי יהוה כִּיקַר כָּרִים; כָּלוּ בֶעָשָׁן כָּלוּ.
כאלֹוֶה רָשָׁע וְלֹא יְשַׁלֵּם; וְצַדִּיק חוֹנֵן וְנוֹתֵן.
כבכִּי מְבֹרָכָיו יִירְשׁוּ אָרֶץ; וּמְקֻלָּלָיו יִכָּרֵתוּ.
כגמֵיהוה מִצְעֲדֵי גֶבֶר כּוֹנָנוּ; וְדַרְכּוֹ יֶחְפָּץ.
כדכִּי יִפֹּל לֹא יוּטָל: כִּי יהוה סוֹמֵךְ יָדוֹ.
כהנַעַר הָיִיתִי גַּם זָקַנְתִּי: וְלֹא רָאִיתִי צַדִּיק נֶעֱזָב; וְזַרְעוֹ מְבַקֶּשׁ לָחֶם.
כוכָּל הַיּוֹם חוֹנֵן וּמַלְוֶה; וְזַרְעוֹ לִבְרָכָה.
כזסוּר מֵרָע וַעֲשֵׂה טוֹב; וּשְׁכֹן לְעוֹלָם.
כחכִּי יהוה אֹהֵב מִשְׁפָּט וְלֹא יַעֲזֹב אֶת חֲסִידָיו לְעוֹלָם נִשְׁמָרוּ; וְזֶרַע רְשָׁעִים נִכְרָת.
כטצַדִּיקִים יִירְשׁוּ אָרֶץ; וְיִשְׁכְּנוּ לָעַד עָלֶיהָ.
לפִּי צַדִּיק יֶהְגֶּה חָכְמָה; וּלְשׁוֹנוֹ תְּדַבֵּר מִשְׁפָּט.
לאתּוֹרַת אֱלֹהָיו בְּלִבּוֹ; לֹא תִמְעַד אֲשֻׁרָיו.
לבצוֹפֶה רָשָׁע לַצַּדִּיק; וּמְבַקֵּשׁ לַהֲמִיתוֹ.
לגיהוה לֹא יַעַזְבֶנּוּ בְיָדוֹ; וְלֹא יַרְשִׁיעֶנּוּ בְּהִשָּׁפְטוֹ.
לדקַוֵּה אֶל יהוה וּשְׁמֹר דַּרְכּוֹ וִירוֹמִמְךָ לָרֶשֶׁת אָרֶץ; בְּהִכָּרֵת רְשָׁעִים תִּרְאֶה.
להרָאִיתִי רָשָׁע עָרִיץ; וּמִתְעָרֶה כְּאֶזְרָח רַעֲנָן.
לווַיַּעֲבֹר וְהִנֵּה אֵינֶנּוּ; וָאֲבַקְשֵׁהוּ וְלֹא נִמְצָא.
לזשְׁמָר תָּם וּרְאֵה יָשָׁר: כִּי אַחֲרִית לְאִישׁ שָׁלוֹם.
לחוּפֹשְׁעִים נִשְׁמְדוּ יַחְדָּו; אַחֲרִית רְשָׁעִים נִכְרָתָה.
לטוּתְשׁוּעַת צַדִּיקִים מֵיהוה; מָעוּזָּם בְּעֵת צָרָה.
מוַיַּעְזְרֵם יהוה וַיְפַלְּטֵם: יְפַלְּטֵם מֵרְשָׁעִים וְיוֹשִׁיעֵם כִּי חָסוּ בוֹ.
