1For the Leader; A Maskil for the sons of Korakh.
2As the dear pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after You, O Elohim.
3My soul thirsts for Elohim, for El Khai: “When shall I come and appear before Elohim?”
4My tears have been my food day and night, while they say unto me all the day, “Where is your Elohim?”
5These things I remember, and pour out my soul within me, how I passed on with the throng, and led them to Beit Elohim, with the voice of joy and praise, a multitude celebrating the Khag.
6Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in Elohim; for I shall yet praise Him for the Salvation of His countenance.
7O my Elohim, my soul is cast down within me; therefore do I remember You from the land of Yarden, and the Khermonim, from Har Mitzar.
8Deep calls unto deep at the voice of Your downpouring; all Your waves and Your billows are gone over me.
9By day יהוה will command His compassion, and in the night His song shall be with me, even a prayer unto the Elohim of my life.
10I will say unto Elohim my Rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning under the oppression of the enemy?”
11As with a crushing in my bones, my adversaries taunt me; while they say unto me all the day, “Where is your Elohim?”
12Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you moan within me? Hope in Elohim; for I shall yet praise Him, the Salvation of my countenance, and my Elohim.
אלַמְנַצֵּחַ מַשְׂכִּיל לִבְנֵי קֹרַח.
בכְּאַיָּל תַּעֲרֹג עַל אֲפִיקֵי מָיִם כֵּן נַפְשִׁי תַעֲרֹג אֵלֶיךָ אֱלֹהִים.
גצָמְאָה נַפְשִׁי לֵאלֹהִים לְאֵל חָי: מָתַי אָבוֹא; וְאֵרָאֶה פְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים.
דהָיְתָה לִּי דִמְעָתִי לֶחֶם יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה; בֶּאֱמֹר אֵלַי כָּל הַיּוֹם אַיֵּה אֱלֹהֶיךָ.
האֵלֶּה אֶזְכְּרָה וְאֶשְׁפְּכָה עָלַי נַפְשִׁי כִּי אֶעֱבֹר בַּסָּךְ אֶדַּדֵּם עַד בֵּית אֱלֹהִים: בְּקוֹל רִנָּה וְתוֹדָה; הָמוֹן חוֹגֵג.
ומַה תִּשְׁתּוֹחֲחִי נַפְשִׁי וַתֶּהֱמִי עָלָי: הוֹחִלִי לֵאלֹהִים כִּי עוֹד אוֹדֶנּוּ יְשׁוּעוֹת פָּנָיו.
זאֱלֹהַי עָלַי נַפְשִׁי תִשְׁתּוֹחָח: עַל כֵּן אֶזְכָּרְךָ מֵאֶרֶץ יַרְדֵּן; וְחֶרְמוֹנִים מֵהַר מִצְעָר.
חתְּהוֹם אֶל תְּהוֹם קוֹרֵא לְקוֹל צִנּוֹרֶיךָ; כָּל מִשְׁבָּרֶיךָ וְגַלֶּיךָ עָלַי עָבָרוּ.
טיוֹמָם יְצַוֶּה יהוה חַסְדּוֹ וּבַלַּיְלָה שִׁירֹה עִמִּי תְּפִלָּה לְאֵל חַיָּי.
יאוֹמְרָה לְאֵל סַלְעִי לָמָה שְׁכַחְתָּנִי: לָמָּה קֹדֵר אֵלֵךְ בְּלַחַץ אוֹיֵב.
יאבְּרֶצַח בְּעַצְמוֹתַי חֵרְפוּנִי צוֹרְרָי; בְּאָמְרָם אֵלַי כָּל הַיּוֹם אַיֵּה אֱלֹהֶיךָ.
יבמַה תִּשְׁתּוֹחֲחִי נַפְשִׁי וּמַה תֶּהֱמִי עָלָי: הוֹחִילִי לֵאלֹהִים כִּי עוֹד אוֹדֶנּוּ יְשׁוּעֹת פָּנַי וֵאלֹהָי.
