2O Elohim, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us; a work You did in their days, in the days of old.
3You with Your hand did drive out the nations, and did plant them; You did break the peoples, and did spread them abroad.
4For not by their own sword did they get the land in possession, neither did their own arm save them; but Your right hand, and Your arm, and the light of Your countenance, because You were favorable unto them.
5You are my Melekh, O Elohim; command the Salvations of Ya’akov.
6Through You do we push down our adversaries; through Your Name do we tread them under that rise up against us.
7For I trust not in my bow, neither can my sword save me.
8But You have saved us from our adversaries, and have put them to shame that hate us.
9In Elohim have we gloried all the day, and we will give thanks unto Your Name forever. Selah.
10Yet You have cast off, and brought us to confusion; and go not forth with our hosts.
11You make us to turn back from the adversary; and they that hate us spoil at their will.
12You have given us like sheep to be eaten; and have scattered us among the goyim.
13You sell Your people for small gain, and have not set their prices high.
14You make us a taunt to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
15You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
16All the day is my confusion before me, and the shame of my face has covered me,
17For the voice of him that taunts and blasphemes; by reason of the enemy and the vengeful.
18All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten You, neither have we been false to Your Brit.
19Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from Your path;
20Though You have crushed us into a place of jackals, and covered us with Tzal-Mavet.
21If we had forgotten the Name of our Elohim, or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
22Would not Elohim search this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart.
23Nay, but for Your sake are we killed all the day; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
24Awake, why do You sleep, O Adonai? Arouse Yourself, cast not off forever.
25Why do You hide Your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
26For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly cleaves unto the earth.
27Arise for our help, and redeem us for Your compassion’s sake.
אלַמְנַצֵּחַ לִבְנֵי קֹרַח מַשְׂכִּיל.
באֱלֹהִים בְּאָזְנֵינוּ שָׁמַעְנוּ אֲבוֹתֵינוּ סִפְּרוּ לָנוּ: פֹּעַל פָּעַלְתָּ בִימֵיהֶם בִּימֵי קֶדֶם.
גאַתָּה יָדְךָ גּוֹיִם הוֹרַשְׁתָּ וַתִּטָּעֵם; תָּרַע לְאֻמִּים וַתְּשַׁלְּחֵם.
דכִּי לֹא בְחַרְבָּם יָרְשׁוּ אָרֶץ וּזְרוֹעָם לֹא הוֹשִׁיעָה לָּמוֹ: כִּי יְמִינְךָ וּזְרוֹעֲךָ וְאוֹר פָּנֶיךָ כִּי רְצִיתָם.
האַתָּה הוּא מַלְכִּי אֱלֹהִים; צַוֵּה יְשׁוּעוֹת יַעֲקֹב.
ובְּךָ צָרֵינוּ נְנַגֵּחַ; בְּשִׁמְךָ נָבוּס קָמֵינוּ.
זכִּי לֹא בְקַשְׁתִּי אֶבְטָח; וְחַרְבִּי לֹא תוֹשִׁיעֵנִי.
חכִּי הוֹשַׁעְתָּנוּ מִצָּרֵינוּ; וּמְשַׂנְאֵינוּ הֱבִישׁוֹתָ.
טבֵּאלֹהִים הִלַּלְנוּ כָל הַיּוֹם; וְשִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם נוֹדֶה סֶלָה.
יאַף זָנַחְתָּ וַתַּכְלִימֵנוּ; וְלֹא תֵצֵא בְּצִבְאוֹתֵינוּ.
יאתְּשִׁיבֵנוּ אָחוֹר מִנִּי צָר; וּמְשַׂנְאֵינוּ שָׁסוּ לָמוֹ.
יבתִּתְּנֵנוּ כְּצֹאן מַאֲכָל; וּבַגּוֹיִם זֵרִיתָנוּ.
יגתִּמְכֹּר עַמְּךָ בְלֹא הוֹן; וְלֹא רִבִּיתָ בִּמְחִירֵיהֶם.
ידתְּשִׂימֵנוּ חֶרְפָּה לִשְׁכֵנֵינוּ; לַעַג וָקֶלֶס לִסְבִיבוֹתֵינוּ.
טותְּשִׂימֵנוּ מָשָׁל בַּגּוֹיִם; מְנוֹד רֹאשׁ בַּלְאֻמִּים.
טזכָּל הַיּוֹם כְּלִמָּתִי נֶגְדִּי; וּבֹשֶׁת פָּנַי כִּסָּתְנִי.
יזמִקּוֹל מְחָרֵף וּמְגַדֵּף; מִפְּנֵי אוֹיֵב וּמִתְנַקֵּם.
יחכָּל זֹאת בָּאַתְנוּ וְלֹא שְׁכַחֲנוּךָ; וְלֹא שִׁקַּרְנוּ בִּבְרִיתֶךָ.
יטלֹא נָסוֹג אָחוֹר לִבֵּנוּ; וַתֵּט אֲשֻׁרֵינוּ מִנִּי אָרְחֶךָ.
ככִּי דִכִּיתָנוּ בִּמְקוֹם תַּנִּים; וַתְּכַס עָלֵינוּ בְצַלְמָוֶת.
כאאִם שָׁכַחְנוּ שֵׁם אֱלֹהֵינוּ; וַנִּפְרֹשׂ כַּפֵּינוּ לְאֵל זָר.
כבהֲלֹא אֱלֹהִים יַחֲקָר זֹאת: כִּי הוּא יֹדֵעַ תַּעֲלֻמוֹת לֵב.
כגכִּי עָלֶיךָ הֹרַגְנוּ כָל הַיּוֹם; נֶחְשַׁבְנוּ כְּצֹאן טִבְחָה.
כדעוּרָה לָמָּה תִישַׁן אֲדֹנָי; הָקִיצָה אַל תִּזְנַח לָנֶצַח.
כהלָמָּה פָנֶיךָ תַסְתִּיר; תִּשְׁכַּח עָנְיֵנוּ וְלַחֲצֵנוּ.
כוכִּי שָׁחָה לֶעָפָר נַפְשֵׁנוּ; דָּבְקָה לָאָרֶץ בִּטְנֵנוּ.
כזקוּמָה עֶזְרָתָה לָּנוּ; וּפְדֵנוּ לְמַעַן חַסְדֶּךָ.
