Tehillah 48 – תהלה מח – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹A Song; a Mizmor for the sons of Korakh.

²Great is יהוה , and highly to be praised, in the city of our Elohim, His Har Kadosh,

³Fair in situation, the joy of the whole earth; even Har Tzion, the uttermost parts of the north, the city of Melekh Rav.

⁴Elohim in her palaces has made Himself known for a stronghold.

⁵For, lo, the kings assembled themselves, they came onward together.

⁶They saw, straightway they were amazed; they were terrified, they hasted away.

⁷Trembling took hold of them there, pangs, as of a woman in travail.

⁸With the east wind You break the ships of Tarshish.

⁹As we have heard, so have we seen; in the city of יהוה Tzeva’ot, in the city of our Elohim. Elohim establishes it forever. Selah.

¹⁰We have thought on Your compassion, O Elohim, in the midst of Your Heikhal.

¹¹As is Your Name, O Elohim, so is Your praise unto the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.

¹²Let Har Tzion be glad, let the daughters of Yehudah rejoice, because of Your judgments.

¹³Walk about Tzion, and go round about her; count the towers thereof.

¹⁴Mark well her ramparts, traverse her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following.

¹⁵For such is Elohim, our Elohim, forever and ever; He will guide us even in death.

^אשִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לִבְנֵי קֹרַח.

^בגָּדוֹל יהוה וּמְהֻלָּל מְאֹד בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ הַר קָדְשׁוֹ.

^גיְפֵה נוֹף מְשׂוֹשׂ כָּל הָאָרֶץ: הַר צִיּוֹן יַרְכְּתֵי צָפוֹן; קִרְיַת מֶלֶךְ רָב.

^דאֱלֹהִים בְּאַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ נוֹדַע לְמִשְׂגָּב.

^הכִּי הִנֵּה הַמְּלָכִים נוֹעֲדוּ; עָבְרוּ יַחְדָּו.

^והֵמָּה רָאוּ כֵּן תָּמָהוּ; נִבְהֲלוּ נֶחְפָּזוּ.

^זרְעָדָה אֲחָזָתַם שָׁם; חִיל כַּיּוֹלֵדָה.

^חבְּרוּחַ קָדִים תְּשַׁבֵּר אֳנִיּוֹת תַּרְשִׁישׁ.

^טכַּאֲשֶׁר שָׁמַעְנוּ כֵּן רָאִינוּ בְּעִיר יהוה צְבָאוֹת בְּעִיר אֱלֹהֵינוּ: אֱלֹהִים יְכוֹנְנֶהָ עַד עוֹלָם סֶלָה.

^ידִּמִּינוּ אֱלֹהִים חַסְדֶּךָ בְּקֶרֶב הֵיכָלֶךָ.

^יאכְּשִׁמְךָ אֱלֹהִים כֵּן תְּהִלָּתְךָ עַל קַצְוֵי אֶרֶץ; צֶדֶק מָלְאָה יְמִינֶךָ.

^יביִשְׂמַח הַר צִיּוֹן תָּגֵלְנָה בְּנוֹת יְהוּדָה: לְמַעַן מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ.

^יגסֹבּוּ צִיּוֹן וְהַקִּיפוּהָ; סִפְרוּ מִגְדָּלֶיהָ.

^ידשִׁיתוּ לִבְּכֶם לְחֵילָה פַּסְּגוּ אַרְמְנוֹתֶיהָ: לְמַעַן תְּסַפְּרוּ לְדוֹר אַחֲרוֹן.

^טוכִּי זֶה אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵינוּ עוֹלָם וָעֶד; הוּא יְנַהֲגֵנוּ עַל מוּת.
