2When Natan HaNavi came unto him, after he had gone in to Bat Sheva.
3Be gracious unto me, O Elohim, according to Your compassion; according to the multitude of Your mercies blot out my transgressions.
4Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
5For I know my transgressions; and my sin is ever before me.
6Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in Your sight; that You may be justified when You speak, and be in the right when You judge.
7Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
8Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts; make me, therefore, to know wisdom in my inmost heart.
9Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
10Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which You have crushed may rejoice.
11Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
12Create for me a clean heart, O Elohim; and renew a stedfast ru’akh within me.
13Cast me not away from Your presence; and take not Your Ru’akh HaKodesh from me.
14Restore unto me the joy of Your Salvation; and let a willing Ru’akh uphold me.
15Then will I teach transgressors Your ways; and sinners shall return unto You.
16Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O Elohim, You, O Elohim of my Salvation; so shall my tongue sing aloud of Your tzedaka.
17O Adonai, open my lips; and my mouth shall declare Your praise.
18For You delight not in sacrifice, else would I give it; You have no pleasure in Olot.
19The sacrifices of Elohim are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohim, You will not despise.
20Do good in Your favor unto Tzion; build the walls of Yerushalayim.
21Then will You delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in Olot and whole offering; then will they offer bullocks upon Your Mizbe’akh.
אלַמְנַצֵּחַ מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד.
בבְּבוֹא אֵלָיו נָתָן הַנָּבִיא כַּאֲשֶׁר בָּא אֶל בַּת שָׁבַע.
גחָנֵּנִי אֱלֹהִים כְּחַסְדֶּךָ; כְּרֹב רַחֲמֶיךָ מְחֵה פְשָׁעָי.
דהרבה (הֶרֶב) כַּבְּסֵנִי מֵעֲוֹנִי; וּמֵחַטָּאתִי טַהֲרֵנִי.
הכִּי פְשָׁעַי אֲנִי אֵדָע; וְחַטָּאתִי נֶגְדִּי תָמִיד.
ולְךָ לְבַדְּךָ חָטָאתִי וְהָרַע בְּעֵינֶיךָ עָשִׂיתִי: לְמַעַן תִּצְדַּק בְּדָבְרֶךָ תִּזְכֶּה בְשָׁפְטֶךָ.
זהֵן בְּעָווֹן חוֹלָלְתִּי; וּבְחֵטְא יֶחֱמַתְנִי אִמִּי.
חהֵן אֱמֶת חָפַצְתָּ בַטֻּחוֹת; וּבְסָתֻם חָכְמָה תוֹדִיעֵנִי.
טתְּחַטְּאֵנִי בְאֵזוֹב וְאֶטְהָר; תְּכַבְּסֵנִי וּמִשֶּׁלֶג אַלְבִּין.
יתַּשְׁמִיעֵנִי שָׂשׂוֹן וְשִׂמְחָה; תָּגֵלְנָה עֲצָמוֹת דִּכִּיתָ.
יאהַסְתֵּר פָּנֶיךָ מֵחֲטָאָי; וְכָל עֲוֹנֹתַי מְחֵה.
יבלֵב טָהוֹר בְּרָא לִי אֱלֹהִים; וְרוּחַ נָכוֹן חַדֵּשׁ בְּקִרְבִּי.
יגאַל תַּשְׁלִיכֵנִי מִלְּפָנֶיךָ; וְרוּחַ קָדְשְׁךָ אַל תִּקַּח מִמֶּנִּי.
ידהָשִׁיבָה לִּי שְׂשׂוֹן יִשְׁעֶךָ; וְרוּחַ נְדִיבָה תִסְמְכֵנִי.
טואֲלַמְּדָה פֹשְׁעִים דְּרָכֶיךָ; וְחַטָּאִים אֵלֶיךָ יָשׁוּבוּ.
טזהַצִּילֵנִי מִדָּמִים אֱלֹהִים אֱלֹהֵי תְשׁוּעָתִי: תְּרַנֵּן לְשׁוֹנִי צִדְקָתֶךָ.
יזאֲדֹנָי שְׂפָתַי תִּפְתָּח; וּפִי יַגִּיד תְּהִלָּתֶךָ.
יחכִּי לֹא תַחְפֹּץ זֶבַח וְאֶתֵּנָה; עוֹלָה לֹא תִרְצֶה.
יטזִבְחֵי אֱלֹהִים רוּחַ נִשְׁבָּרָה: לֵב נִשְׁבָּר וְנִדְכֶּה אֱלֹהִים לֹא תִבְזֶה.
כהֵיטִיבָה בִרְצוֹנְךָ אֶת צִיּוֹן; תִּבְנֶה חוֹמוֹת יְרוּשָׁלִָם.
כאאָז תַּחְפֹּץ זִבְחֵי צֶדֶק עוֹלָה וְכָלִיל; אָז יַעֲלוּ עַל מִזְבַּחֲךָ פָרִים.
