Tehillah 63 – תהלה סג – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹A Mizmor of David, when he was in the wilderness of Yehudah.

²O Elohim, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You, in a dry and weary land, where no water is.

³So have I looked for You in the Kodesh, to see Your power and Your Kavod.

⁴For Your compassion is better than life; my lips shall praise You.

⁵So will I bless You as long as I live; in Your Name will I lift up my hands.

⁶My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth does praise You with joyful lips;

⁷When I remember You upon my couch, and meditate on You in the night-watches.

⁸For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings do I rejoice.

⁹My soul cleaves unto You; Your right hand holds me fast.

¹⁰But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the nethermost parts of the earth.

¹¹They shall be hurled to the power of the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.

¹²But HaMelekh shall rejoice in Elohim; every one that swears by Him shall glory; for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

^אמִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד; בִּהְיוֹתוֹ בְּמִדְבַּר יְהוּדָה.

^באֱלֹהִים אֵלִי אַתָּה אֲשַׁחֲרֶךָּ: צָמְאָה לְךָ נַפְשִׁי כָּמַהּ לְךָ בְשָׂרִי; בְּאֶרֶץ צִיָּה וְעָיֵף בְּלִי מָיִם.

^גכֵּן בַּקֹּדֶשׁ חֲזִיתִךָ לִרְאוֹת עֻזְּךָ וּכְבוֹדֶךָ.

^דכִּי טוֹב חַסְדְּךָ מֵחַיִּים; שְׂפָתַי יְשַׁבְּחוּנְךָ.

^הכֵּן אֲבָרֶכְךָ בְחַיָּי; בְּשִׁמְךָ אֶשָּׂא כַפָּי.

^וכְּמוֹ חֵלֶב וָדֶשֶׁן תִּשְׂבַּע נַפְשִׁי; וְשִׂפְתֵי רְנָנוֹת יְהַלֶּל פִּי.

^זאִם זְכַרְתִּיךָ עַל יְצוּעָי בְּאַשְׁמֻרוֹת אֶהְגֶּה בָּךְ.

^חכִּי הָיִיתָ עֶזְרָתָה לִּי; וּבְצֵל כְּנָפֶיךָ אֲרַנֵּן.

^טדָּבְקָה נַפְשִׁי אַחֲרֶיךָ; בִּי תָּמְכָה יְמִינֶךָ.

^יוְהֵמָּה לְשׁוֹאָה יְבַקְשׁוּ נַפְשִׁי; יָבֹאוּ בְּתַחְתִּיּוֹת הָאָרֶץ.

^יאיַגִּירֻהוּ עַל יְדֵי חָרֶב; מְנָת שֻׁעָלִים יִהְיוּ.

^יבוְהַמֶּלֶךְ יִשְׂמַח בֵּאלֹהִים: יִתְהַלֵּל כָּל הַנִּשְׁבָּע בּוֹ כִּי יִסָּכֵר פִּי דוֹבְרֵי שָׁקֶר.
